Waitstaff was unattending. We had to ask another waitress to assist us while our waiter was MIA. He never checked up on us after he delivered our food and then neglected our drinks. Also found a huge, curly hair in food half-way through our dinner (needless to say, none of the 4 of us would eat after that) and only received 50% off the total bill. Honestly, if my husband hadn't have paid, I would have insisted we not pay at all. OH! And about the payment: their debit/credit machines were down so it was cash or nothing at all. I had dinner here last with a friend. While the food was decent, the frozen Iggy margarita had to be one of the worst margaritas I ever had. It tasted like an artificial powdered lime drink mix without even the slightest hint of tequila. I'm glad I didn't order a "premium" margarita because they are nothing more than their super crappy frozen margaritas with toppers. On the upside, the service was good. However, their patio totally lacks any ambience. There was even a large piece of plywood propped up against the railing inside the patio area next to our table and a noisy rusted fan which was distracting. One other thing, while people were still dining inside, the staff started stacking the chairs on the empty tables all around the diners. Thought that was extremely tacky and rude. Needless to say, this was my first and last dining experience at this establishment. read more

Went there to have a few drinks and it was dirty. We had to ask the bar tender to wipe the table down where we wanted to sit. Behind the bar was filthy. There was a fly that was flying around us and landing in our chips. When the bar tender made my margarita, some of the margarita got on the side of the cup and he used his finger to put it back in my cup. Then the manager Matt came over and a guy asked for salt on his tequila shot, and he picked up salt with his fingers and put it in the guys shot. Very dirty and unprofessional. Next time I will drive to Chilis, Outback or another Mexican restaurant to have a drink! Pesos across the street will be a better place! read more

We were in Crosby for the day and starving on a Sunday. I had this place on my list and my husband said we should check out this location. We were seated promptly on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was welcoming and quite efficient throughout our time there. I ordered a Horny Iguana Margarita which was really good. The chips and salsa were ok. I ordered the spinach and chicken enchiladas which were not bad, but not memorable. My husband ordered some shrimp and chicken wrapped in bacon and he ate it all. I asked him if it was really good and he told me anything is really good when it is wrapped in bacon. With that said, I can't really comment on his bacon wrapped protein options. For dessert, he ordered the sopapillas, but he insisted that mine are much better. I can't tell you that we will return to this location, but dining options are quite limited in Crosby. If we move to the area, I can see us stopping in for margaritas from time to time. read more

After eating here at the Beltway location not too long ago I decided to give this location a try since I was in the area, and had such a great experience the first time. The restaurant set up was completely different and much older looking, though it was still fairly clean and organized. My friend and I stopped in during happy hour Saturday night and one of the bartenders, Kirstin, made our margaritas. Not only were they delicious but so inexpensive... only $3.50! We ended up moving to a table in the bar because the bar top started to get a little crowded with Kirstin's regulars. Our server ended up being Stephanie and she was very personable and sweet! She recommended we start with a new queso they're offering, the "queso blanco", and it was a hit! Overall the entire meal was great, but what really makes this place great for me is the service I've received both times, and the atmosphere! read more

The margaritas are horrible! Just pre made sugar crap in a glass! I asked for a cosmo instead and it was just as bad. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and had to send them back they were so gross! This is a acceptable place to eat if you don't like to travel outside of town for Mexican food. Nothing special other than its one of only a few sit down places in town where the waiters actually have most of their teeth. Enchiladas are eatable but not good, chips usually stale, fajitas are probably best thing they have. The restaurant itself is old, floors slanted and floods occasionally with a heavy rain at front door. As I said, the only acceptable mesican food in Crosby but that ain't saying much. We enjoy Iguana Joe's. The food is good. Drinks are good. Love the salsa there. Green dip is awesome too. I think the complementary ice cream is an awesome thing! We live in Crosby, however, we do prefer to drive to the W Lake Houston location. It just seems nicer to us. The smoking area can be overpowering into the rest of the restaurant. The ceiling in the bar area looks disgusting. Looks like big clumps of grease and dirt, though I think it was sprayed to look that way. Over all, when it is later, we run to this location. We've never had a bad meal at any Iguana Joe's. read more

I've been going to this place since it first opened, it's close to home and the food has been ok, but I went last night and the beef fajitas were very tuff. No flavor on them, and I normally love their fajitas. Since they have raised their prices all the menu items, you don't get as much and the price went up 2.00 dollars on the fajitas. I was not impressed at all with the food last night. If they keep this up, I don't see them staying open and if they do stay open, I don't see them being very busy. . . read more

Our family enjoys the Crosby location. The outside covered area. Is nice, the food is very good -- especially the green sauce -- and the prices are good. Last night we had one of the BEST waiters, Taylor. He was very attentive without being overbearing, he anticipated out needs, was courteous and pleasant. He even packed up our leftovers and bagged it up for us. He's a keeper! read more

If I could rate it a zero, I would. We have had terrible service in the past but have always tried again because the food is pretty good. Tonight we received our food and my husband ordered a second margarita. The waitress then asked if we would like to-go boxes. Are you kidding? We just received our food less than ten minutes ago, my entire family is still eating and we just ordered another drink. In other words....it is time for you all to go. Honestly, I dismissed it thinking perhaps the waitress is young, inexperienced, or simply has no manners. After we finished eating, we asked the waitress if she had a to-go container (bowl) to put our borracho beans in and she replied they did not have such containers. I asked how they packaged the borracho beans if someone phoned in a to-go order for pick-up. She stated they had styrofoam bowls for actual to-go orders but were not allowed to give them to dine-in patrons. I asked the obvious question, why? She stated that management will not allow them to give out these bowls because people take home the left-over salsa on the tables. I demanded a bowl to put the left-over beans in as I was paying for them. She returned with the bowl in seconds. I am curious to know why they are concerned with people taking the left-over salsa if it is going in the trash. I agree with other reviews, this location is a disgrace to Iguana Joe's. I would not recommend anyone waste their time or money on this establishment. It will not hurt my feelings when management's lack of professionalism and customer service skills cause their doors to close. read more
