Cane here because I was craving Mexican cuisine and have been here once so I visited their Google page and saw some videos of their Caldo de Res. I got the Caldo de Res because, i wasn't only craving it but from my POV/perspective it seemed like the most nutritious and economical option on their menu. I sat at the bar and Erick, the bartender was smooth as silk, he speaks English and Spanish fluently and gave me recommendations on the drink I ordered. Thank you Erick. The restaurant has an open floor supporting pillars, and boiths strewn about. There is also a open viewing area where tortillas are freshly made by hand. The food came out promptly, I mean of course right, awesome, and it was hot, presented well, and the flavor matched that of a median palate, they added accompaniments on the side of course for you to flavor it more, great. I added all the accompaniments and we were off, not the rice though, I ate that as I went . The rich beef flavor was prominent, and it was filled with vegetables including zucchini, potatoes and carrots to name a few. Came here Sunday at 1 o'clock for a birthday party. The waiter "Isidro" was and is currently being very rude and giving us dirty looks because he's interrupting us when we're talking to put our water across from us on the other side of the table and wants us to do his job for him. Shaking his head and so forth that's very rude. Never had that type of service before. Will definitely let the manager know if we could find one here. Otherwise, I don't feel comfortable ordering any food here. Wait staff needs to be trained with proper etiquette and stop reaching across table, serve from behind. I ordered poblano fajitas and did not receive what I paid for. After calling the restaurant, we were told to return for the missing poblano sauce. When my daughter arrived, they suddenly demanded the fajitas be brought back as proof -- something never mentioned during the original call. They repeatedly blamed us because my daughter missed their call due to new feature on iPhone, despite this being their mistake. My daughter made multiple unnecessary trips back and forth to the restaurant, and even after the staff confirmed the order was wrong, they refused to properly correct it, refused a refund, and offered no apology for the inconvenience or ruined Mother's Day meal until . . . I POINTED OUT A PROBABLE BIAS; then they remade and refunded my dish. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Poor communication, no accountability, and absolutely no concern for the customer experience. read more

Service was great, ambience is casual, TV's everywhere but they are not loud. The food was good and fresh. We ordered the queso flameado with chorizo and flour tortillas. The queso was good with plenty of chorizo. It wasn't greasy at all like other places but the tortillas were not as good as they should be. The chips and salsas were good. Hot hot sauce. I prefer the red one. The enchiladas verdes with chicken were good too but nothing that makes them stand out. The rice that came with it was good and the beans were just beans nothing special. The sweet tea was great. I would come again but no special trip. Their buffet used to be wonderful but I am not sure if they still offer it. This place was so nice that we visited twice! We came two nights in a row. The vibe of this place was high! There was a birthday party the first night and the second night there was no party but same high energy. This place is huge and it draws a nice crowd. Both nights we didn't have a wait but we struggled finding parking. The service is quick and friendly. We were greeted upon entering and seated quickly. Chips and dip were immediately brought out. Warm salsa and a green tomatillo/avocado based salsa. They both had a magnificent flavor. The food was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. The chili con queso was amazing! Just try it! Today was our 2nd time in the last month to eat at Los Cucos by Fall Creek. I will start with saying, some of the best tortillas I've ever eaten! However, we have eaten here in the past and today we were so disappointed in the food. Both times we've been here, our chips tasted as tho they were fried in old grease. My tamale was a bit tough, and the gravy even had an odd taste. My husband and I both had the ground beef tacos on our plates, and although we did enjoy those, they were a bit greasy. The other food was just ok. The service and atmosphere is so excellent, but sadly, the food is just not exceptional. Larger than it looks with great service. This was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect. You get tortilla chips and two salsas to dip in . The red one is not such, which was refreshing, and the green is thicker than in other restaurants. They're both good. I got the mojito, which was good, not too sweet. The people next to us were having the ceviche which looked good. For dinner I tried the Mexican bowl, which is what you can normally get at Chipotle but much better. It wasn't spicy, which is great and has a sauce you can add on the side. The guac and cheese give it a nice moisture. The chicken is flavorful but a little dry. It's pretty filling for a good price. I also got to taste the carnitas on the el sabroso, which was also tasty. Overall the place is large and not crazy busy, the service is good and attentive. We'll definitely come back. read more

Decided to come in for happy hour on a Wednesday after work. Happy hour is all day Mondays and Tuesdays. Also Weds-Friday 2p-6pm. House margaritas are $5 for a regular and $8 for a large. The Gold Margaritas aww $6 regular size and $10 for large. House wine $4.50 and draft beer for domestic is $3.50 reg $5 large. The imported beer is $4 regular and $5.50 large. The energy is good so far definitely a place u can go alone. The ambiance is cool lots of windows with plenty of light. You only get Happy hour at the bar. My margarita is strong. I forgot to talk about service. Well the bartender was cursing and talking about something she was unhappy about with another coworker which I thought was very unprofessional. In addition she didn't place napkins under my drink or offer silverware with my meal. She seemed a little rebusy or overwhelmed which is what I'm not use to at other Los Cucos locations. I definitely would like to come back out not sure if I could go to this location. As a food critic that travels places and provide opinions to others I'm unsure if I could recommend this location. Working in the service industry for twenty years my waitresses service was not it. Another person told me that she has been here and messed up there bill the last two times. They said she doesn't check on her people/ patrons. I haven't never not left a tip but I'm afraid she may do something wrong on my card. I ordered chicken tacos (minus the chicken) with wheat tortillas and black beans from the lighter menu. I ended up getting something more like two tiny burritos with red sauce and onions inside. On the side I was served vegetables with no seasoning and flavorless white rice with a few frozen veggies thrown on top. I added salsa to the top of my burrito to try to help it out a bit. The black beans were delicious though, but everything else was very disappointing. Thank goodness for the chips and salsa that I ate prior to my meal coming out. My only complaint is that sometimes online orders take much longer than they state (upwards of 30 more minutes) and it is imperative you check your order because it just may be wrong or missing something if you don't. read more

I went here with a friend and the food was surprisingly good. My friend ordered a platter that had ribs and shrimp wrapped in bacon. I tasted both dishes and they were great. The rib meat fell off the bone, it wasn't dry, and it was seasoned well. The bacon wrapped shrimp like a food organism... flavorful and bacon wasn't salty. I suggested to my fiancé we give Los Cucos another chance to find a small improvement of service from our previous two visits. However it did not happen. The restaurant continues to disappoint in customer service, attention customer, seems like there's no leadership/management. As it always stems from the top. Today our visit was pretty much the same. Where are you getting these employees that seat you and next return? Once a nice older gentleman refilled our water twice and brought us salsa. I told him he should be hired as a waiter. We gave him the tip. We never saw the waiter again. We had hoped it wouldn't be a repeat but it was. It's wasn't that busy so we expected service to be much better.
