    Lunch menu

Came here Sunday at 1 o'clock for a birthday party. The waiter "Isidro" was and is currently being very rude and giving us dirty looks because he's interrupting us when we're talking to put our water across from us on the other side of the table and wants us to do his job for him. Shaking his head and so forth that's very rude. Never had that type of service before. Will definitely let the manager know if we could find one here. Otherwise, I don't feel comfortable ordering any food here. Wait staff needs to be trained with proper etiquette and stop reaching across table, serve from behind. To be fair the later probably has a lot of tables and no help.

I joined a large group (11) for lunch. The service was attentive, and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The menu is large and everything looked delicious. I had the stuffed avocado with chicken. It came with a beef taco, vegetable tortilla soup, rice and beans. The portions were generous, and I really enjoyed the stuffed avocado. The fajita beef was tender and flavorful. I will definitely be back!

    Queso flameado con chorizo

Service was great, ambience is casual, TV's everywhere but they are not loud. The food was good and fresh. We ordered the queso flameado with chorizo and flour tortillas. The queso was good with plenty of chorizo. It wasn't greasy at all like other places but the tortillas were not as good as they should be. The chips and salsas were good. Hot hot sauce. I prefer the red one. The enchiladas verdes with chicken were good too but nothing that makes them stand out. The rice that came with it was good and the beans were just beans nothing special. The sweet tea was great. I would come again but no special trip. Their buffet used to be wonderful but I am not sure if they still offer it. It was high dollar $$$ the last time I visited and for what I eat not really worth it. JMO...

This place was so nice that we visited twice! We came two nights in a row. The vibe of this place was high! There was a birthday party the first night and the second night there was no party but same high energy. This place is huge and it draws a nice crowd. Both nights we didn't have a wait but we struggled finding parking. The service is quick and friendly. We were greeted upon entering and seated quickly. Chips and dip were immediately brought out. Warm salsa and a green tomatillo/avocado based salsa. They both had a magnificent flavor. The food was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. The chili con queso was amazing! Just try it! The price for the food was great especially for the portion sizes! Everything about this place is a winner!

Service was great but the food was even better. Great atmosphere and all the staff was very attentive and kept checking on us throughout our time there. I highly recommend this place, we're already been here 3 times this month

I had the pollo del mar. It's chicken breast stuffed with shrimp. It was very good. The waitress was very nice. Nice experience.

Serving sizes are well proportioned! Enjoyed the seafood enchiladas known as Del Rio! A nice surprise was the crabmeat! Paired my entree with a sweet cocktail - Crown Apple Smash....get you one!

Very friendly staff every time I come and food is always delicious. Sammy was our server and he was very quick and attentive. Tried the pepino margarita and it was amazing and came with the shaker on the side and came with a pretty good amount. Lots of tables inside and outdoors, separate party room. Great place to get a quick bite or have a larger event at!

Larger than it looks with great service. This was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect. You get tortilla chips and two salsas to dip in . The red one is not such, which was refreshing, and the green is thicker than in other restaurants. They're both good. I got the mojito, which was good, not too sweet. The people next to us were having the ceviche which looked good. For dinner I tried the Mexican bowl, which is what you can normally get at Chipotle but much better. It wasn't spicy, which is great and has a sauce you can add on the side. The guac and cheese give it a nice moisture. The chicken is flavorful but a little dry. It's pretty filling for a good price. I also got to taste the carnitas on the el sabroso, which was also tasty. Overall the place is large and not crazy busy, the service is good and attentive. We'll definitely come back.

This is probably among my top 2 favorite restaurants in the Greater Houston areas. I was with a large group 15-20 ppl. The service was excellent. Our servers were very attentive. I love that this is a restaurant you can still split checks and only pay for what you ordered, plus tip. The food was delicious and the drinks were very good too!

    guacamole, pico de gallo,

This review is for catering/take-out only. We had Los Cucos cater a business meeting for us. I'm a Los Angelino and as such, I'm used to California style Mexican food. Tex-Mex as you well know is a bit different. The food here was outstanding -- from the breakfast tacos to the chicken and steak fajitas. The catering crew were super friendly - everything was made from scratch -- from the pico de gallo , to the guacamole, to the salsa, to the tortillas. I ate SO much food.......it was some of the best Mexican food I've had in Texas. I give them two big thumbs up. The tortillas are truly to die for - so doughy, so thick.......

For the tacos- I like onion and cilantro so didn't mind but they ask if you want c&c and they just throw it in all your tacos. So it's best to tell them just on these tacos. I wish they would cook the tortillas a bit more cus they do feel doughy and undercooked. We got egg and bacon there wasn't much flavor. Same for the barbacoa. For them making it "a la Mexicana aka with tomatoes, onions and pepper" it sure had no flavor. The salsa-red was spicy no flavor and I'm not a green salsa person but I ended up using that one more. Before we finished some guy came over and said are you done? And without hesitation quickly removed our "plate" before I could say hey I'm still eating that. Overall it's not a place I'll go back to.

Tonight , I visited the one in Humble off of FM 1960, and once again it did not disappoint. I ordered a very good enchilada combination dish called the Coronado that came with shrimp brochette and enchilada, and a crispy beef taco, but I had them take off the taco and add me an extra enchilada, which they did with no problem. It came with rice and beans and I ordered a side of pico de gallo to go with it. It was piping hot , cheesy, and delicious. zero complaints. And my brother even let me try some of his quail, which I had never tried at any Pappas restaurant before and it too was very good. Super tender, smoky and welled seasoned. Now the reason for the 3 stars was the service. We had two servers and they were both very much in their own worlds.. Messed up my drink order out the gate, inattentive to whether or not we needed things, never once's asked how we were coming along with our meal, ( until the very end of both our meals and our dirty plates were still laying there in front of us) and never asked either one of us if we wanted another drink, and we were sitting at the bar!
