Highly recommend! This is my sixth visit to Loco Cantina. It has never disappointed. We live on the other side of town and always come here to eat when close. Their food is good I will say but this isn't about food. I went to Loco Cantina today to get a Horchata to go and it only comes in one size which is like a s/m sized cup that alone is 5 dollars, so I asked for no ice because I have sensitive teeth... so they take the ice out and leaves me with almost half a cup of horchata! I asked the girl can you fill it a little more because now it's looking empty to me, at this point, I'm already annoyed because she really brought it back almost empty and I paid 5 dollars for the small cup.... manager comes out big Mexican with spiky hair and tells me they have certain types of measurements and if I want to fill it more it will be an extra 1.99!! That's just ridiculously expensive for a s/m cup of horchata, like be so for real Horchata the price of a margarita is just insane to me. If I would've said yes charge me that 1.99 I would've paid 7 dollars for this dumb shit. I literally just told them to put the ice back in there so I don't feel like I wasted my money read more

Wonderful place! Service was first class and the ambiance is so great! Very welcoming and friendly. They took care of us quickly and the food was out in a timely manner. Everything was so fresh and hot. I personally wasn't crazy about the Enchilada gravy, and that's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. It had an odd texture to it. We love to support local businesses when possible, and we LOVE Loco Cantina and all they do for the community. I'm extremely gluten intolerant and initially messaged Loco Cantina on Instagram, ensuring I could eat there. Other Mexican restaurants batter items in beer or have elevated risks of cross-contamination. Not Loco. The owner assured I could have corn tortillas, meats, rice, tortilla chips, and other various menu items. I've been a few times and have never had a reaction. Their margaritas are amazing, and the service is top notch. I also appreciate that their food isn't greasy. My husband remarked on how "clean" everything tastes (grease kills his stomach). The lunch menu can't be beat, and they have a good deal going with their daily specials. We will absolutely be back and will continue to support this wonderful business! read more

While in Humble I had a craving for some lunch Nachos. I found this location because it was close to the bed and breakfast we were staying at, plus it was located on the banks of Lake Houston. The place was nice and it had the look of a cantina. The service was great and our server was attentive and everyone that walked by checked on us. The nachos were adequate. We ordered the Nachos Blanco which came with chicken "fajitas" some black beans and sides of guacamole and sour cream. They did the job. They had some good looking margaritas and something that looked like a shake in a tall mug. Not sure what it was but it looked good. I wanted to sit on the patio but customers had a lot of dogs and we are allergic. Not a bad place but not the best either. I got the el pastor tacos, and they were so tasty. The meat was so juicy and tender, and the side of beans and rice were even flavorful - and I don't usually like beans. I got a frozen margarita, and that hit the spot too. We also got queso and chips, and the queso was good quality. The service was good because they kept checking on us, and we were a huge party of 14, but the food did take a little bit to come out. I love the complex this restaurant is in because it's a cute little area with a lot of places to see and walk around. Went here for Mother's Day, their service was exceptional! We got seated right away despite them being busy, our drink order was taken right away. The food was 8/10 we will Deff go back and try other menu items. We had one of their parrilladas to share and the white queso. I felt like the portions were small. Their drinks are 10/10 They gave us complementary dessert for being our first visit and it was 10/10! Horchata 3 leches .. dreamy! Food: street tacos..2 beef fajita which the meat was mushy like it was cooking for a time, 1 pork which was exactly the same as the fajita, mushy and 1 chicken which had zero flavor. The corn tortillas were ok. Shrimp enchiladas... was just ok. The beans were good. The salsa both red and green were bland. Margarita on the rocks, very bland if there was tequila in it I would be surprised, but it did have a huge mint leaf and a red grape in it so there's that. The wait staff seemed like they didn't care you were there. A lot of them just walking around doing nothing. There was one kinda short waitress who was hustling and kudos to her. There's some day of the dead inspired decor up front and painted over a big wall. Our servers were super friendly and our baby loved to wave at them when they came by. Answered all my questions about the menu and the service was quick. Speaking of the menu, it is quite large, it might give Cheesecake Facory a run for amount of reading you sign up for when you try to order. That's truly my only suggestion, tighten up the amount different named menu items to simplify for guests. The food also hits all the expected notes. Got the Mexican Guacamole, which looked great with all the added tomato, onion, and jalapeño. The Queso Blanco was underwhelming, it would've tasted and looked better with some cilantro and onion. I ordered La Suegra (the mother-in-law) which was a grilled chicken breast smothered in poblanos, mushrooms, and cheese. Wasn't much to talk about or look at, but it tasted fine after a busy morning. Fun New spot with room to grow! Located off Lake Houston with nice views, park in the garage without fear of being towed if street parking isn't available. Good food & drinks for solo, date, or groups. Bar has tvs showing games. Upon entering hostess opened door and place was busy for Thirsty Thursday. The staff went above and beyond and was extremely friendly, accommodating & engaging. They checked on us regularly throughout the course of our visit. The complimentary chips were warm and crunchy, just as they should be. Both the red salsa and green salsa were delicious. We received a complimentary guacamole that was enjoyable, just was a bit bland. We added salt & lemon to help add some flavor. We ordered the white queso, it was thick and had a good flavoring to it. Maybe adding some peppers to give it a little kick to change it up would elevate its taste. Ordered the La Senorita plate which came with ground beef enchilada, a tamale and crunchy taco and rice, cheese puff and guacamole. The enchilada and tamale were good, the crunchy taco had a burnt taste to it. The rice was also flavorful. Didn't eat the cheese puff and will ask for future if can substitute with beans instead of the cheese puff. Overall aside from the odd burnt flavor of crunchy taco the plate is a good option to try various food & a good serving size. We ordered the Margarita flight, it came with blue curaçao, coconut, strawberry & mango. They weren't shy with the tequila. The order of favorites was coconut, mango, curaçao & the very sweet strawberry. We then ordered a jumbo skinny Margarita & let me tell you... those were some of the best we've ever tried. & apparently there's a special skinny Margarita available too. Will have to return for that one. Ending the meal, we ordered the churros & sopaipillas plate. Flavor was spot on and enjoyed them but only that they weren't warm when they arrived. First for some reason the restaurant never received my on-line order. Ok I understand, technology is only great when it works. So I try to place my order over the phone, I should have hung up and just cooked myself, it took about 10 minutes or more to place the order because the person had a lot of trouble taking the order. I had intended to have the food delivered but could not - I don't understand why, but oh well I will go pick it up. When I got home with the food I noticed that the texture was not correct. The tamale masa was not fully cooked, the enchilada was flour not corn tortilla which I had asked for, and the crispy taco that I asked to have as a soft taco was actually a fried flour tortilla shell, the guacamole was only avocado / no onion or tomato. Sorry to go on so long. It was just terrible ... I ended up only eating the chips and salsa. read more

Update: Sadly my second experience was just a step up from the first. The complimentary chips and salsa came out right after we were seated. The chips were warm and crunchy. Salsa was average and not very spicy. The skinny margarita had a beautiful presentation and a good flavor. This was the highlight of the meal. The guacamole was chunky but was pretty bland. The queso was more flavorful than queso blanco. It was creamy but needed some chucks of peppers and onions to add some flavor. Chicken quesadillas were tasty. Chicken was seasoned well and there was a good amount of cheese. Service was great. They checked in often and refilled the non alcoholic drinks regularly. If you don't like spicy food, this might be a good fit for you. As for me, I prefer a little more spice to my Mexican dishes. read more

Food, drinks, and salsa were below average. It definitely wasn't worth our $450 tab. No one at our table of 8 was satisfied with their food. :( Guacamole tasted artificial, salsa was bland, flautas were mushy (not sure what type of tortilla is being used), parrilladas were over cooked (tough fajitas), enchiladas were ok but need to change their tortilla. Rice and beans are average. We also asked for carajillos and espresso martinis but they don't make them there. Margarita was pretty though! read more
