La cruda Brand BBQ is in my opinion one of top 2 restaurants of this type in the Lake Houston area. The place is simple but roomy. The spareribs had that wonderful smoke ring, juicy and pulled off the bone cleanly and with no effort. The brisket was Smokey good and fork tender. My wife ordered a baked potato stuffed with brisket. It was huge and she enjoyed it. Neither of us could finish our meals. The sides of fried okra and green beans were not spectacular but respectably tasty. My biggest compliant was the front of restaurant's building there is a skull logo painted against a black storefront. It is way too foreboding for a place that I found very suitable for the entire family. I thought it was a bar selling oven baked bbq. The reality is this a good choice for a bbq meal. I really enjoyed La Cruda BBQ! I had the chopped brisket sandwich, the brisket and Mac egg rolls, and a side of fried Okra. Everything was delicious and smoked to perfection. The Fried okra was seasoned and crispy. I really enjoyed the brisket and Mac egg rolls. They had a nice crispy texture. The brisket sandwich was really good also. They give you a lot of meat on the sandwich, you could almost make 2 out of the amount of meat. The customer service was top tier. The young lady who took my order in the drive thru was very patient with me as it was my first time. If you are in the Crosby area you have to check them out. read more

Stop in for a lunch break from work, Isaac the owner was one of the first to greet us upon coming in. He was thorough about what specials that had going on. The restaurant looks great in terms of decorations, great color scheme, TV's. I had the brisket sandwich is was pretty good and needed very little sauce, my brother had the chicken wings. Tried the restaurant out today for lunch and it was delicious! We had one two meat plate with brisket, turkey, fried okra and potato salad. And a one meat with brisket, brisket corn and green beans. The brisket was so good!!! And my other fav was the brisket corn, definitely try it! All the food was good and we are so happy to have this as a lunch option in Crosby. They even have some dessert options, the cookie was a nice finish. The portions were plenty also, we were full the rest of the day. Yum!!! We basically tried everything. Brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, ribs, pulled pork baked potato. The BRISKET CORN CASSEROLE was AMAZINGGGG, potato salad was good also. Last Week I stopped here for the first time thru the drive thru and I will be back! The brisket sandwich was so big I made 2 out of the one order and delicious, meat was so tender, juicy (not dried out at all), excellent flavor; makes your taste buds crave more. The young girl at the window was so sweet, very knowledgeable and so polite. I asked for a to-go menu and they were out at the time but she showed me a laminated one. About then I assume it's the owner and inquired about my request. He simply had them run off additional copies for me to take home. The food is good don't get me wrong but it can be a hit or miss in the sense of what you get. Last time I ordered brisket Mac and cheese and it was good and with bbq sauce and full plate. I was on vacation and I was spending about a week in Crosby, Texas. With this being my first time in Texas, I thought I could not leave without trying some Texas barbecue. I asked around and some locals pointed me in the direction of La Cruda. In my last night in town I decided to grab an Uber and give them a try. Now I've never had Texas bbq before so I had nothing to compare this too, but if all Texas bbq is this good I would consider moving out this way. La Cruda absolutely sets the bar high. Let me start off by stating what I noticed when I first arrived. Parking lot was empty and my first thought was this was a bad sign and my thoughts worsened when I walked inside. There was only a young lady and her child ahead of me. I prepared myself to be disappointed, but little did I know it was going to be some of the best food I have ever eaten. The counter could be a little misleading with the menu on the left side but you have to order on the right side. I noticed several people after me made the same mistake. I decided to try a brisket quesadilla and a pulled pork sandwich. After I ordered I poured myself a Coke and picked my seat. I have to say they do have a really big tv in their dining area, great if there is a game on. My food came out really fast, served by a young and polite gentleman. Before I had a chance to take a bite another gentleman came from behind the counter and brought me another slice of brisket and said he had cut too much and set it on my plate. Now up until this point I thought I've had some tender meat but I was wrong. I tried to pick the meat up using two fingers but it just fell apart. It melted I my mouth ALMOST like cotton candy. The brisket goes really well in the quesadilla because the cheese helps hold it together. The flavor was on point, not bland and not too much salt. I think they found the perfect balance. Now on to the pulled pork sandwich. I tried a little piece of the pork before I took a bite of the sandwich. The flavor was amazing. They give you bbq sauce on the side but I really don't think the sandwich needs it. Pork was extremely moist, tender and full of flavor. The portions of meat they put in the sandwich and the quesadilla were extremely generous. I would highly recommend La Cruda not only to those visiting Crosby but to anyone in the Houston area. If I had to say anything negative about La Cruda it would be they aren't open long enough. I believe I went on a third day and their ours were 5:30pm to 8:30 pm. Once again I absolutely loved this restaurant and plan on visiting again, you should too. read more

Came home to Crosby to see a new BBQ joint had opened, and I am amazed by how wonderful this food is. We ordered the Elote Tacos and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten!!! I cannot recommend enough. The restaurants atmosphere is great, wonderful view of the ponds. Customer service is amazing as well. I will look forward to coming back on my trips home. read more

New place but they need to improve- start by educating the servers/behind counter on food handling- multiple instances of cross contamination seen in 1 visit - like rubbing mouth then touching the food glove or playing w pants closure then handling items. The ONLY place I get my bbq! Tender and flavorful, haven't tried sides yet but I will.
