If you come here, prepare to spend a long time. The servers are nice but very disorganized. Took 10 min for them to acknowledge us (2 seater) and then another 10 before they took our order. They have enough staffing so that's not it. Our food was lukewarm because it took so long to get to our table. When we were ready to leave, it took another 15 min because we couldn't find our waitress. From the moment I arrived, the host Mr Quintin looked like he didn't even want to be there. He just gestured for me to sit anywhere(because it wasn't bussy) without saying a word walking behind me dragging his feet on his thousand pound boots. About five minutes later, he came to take my order. I asked for two hot chocolates and two cups of water, but before I could even finish ordering, he walked away to get on his phone and ignored us completely. When he finally brought the drinks, the hot chocolate was watered down( on a cup to go no whip cream) and he never once asked if we needed anything. This time had to speak louder to just to get his attention before he walked away to place my order.The food came out dry, and still no one checked on us no refills no sauce no silverware no napkins but Mr Quintin on his phone. Then, half way through the meal, he dropped off the check - no "How's everything?" or offer to refill drinks. What makes it worse is that the place wasn't even busy. I was the only table when I arrived, and it only got slightly busy later when two more tables came in. I'd understand if they were slammed, but this was just lazy and careless. I was the only table at the restaurant then two other tables got busy 3 tables you had to tend to really ? Really disappointing experience. Poor attitude, zero attention, and bad food service. The crepes were cooked well and the blueberry sauce was good, but the filling did not taste like ricotta cheese, more like icing. They should've kept the original recipe. my sister and I went to breakfast together yesterday at the I hop at western and I-40. we got there about 9:15 and were seated at a table in the back. The waitress came and told us welcome and took our drink order. When she brought the drinks she wanted to know if we were ready to order and we said no we needed a few more minutes. She then went in the other room and came back in less than 2 minutes and we said we were still looking she turned and walked away. when she came back we made our order and added hash browns onto it. there was only 3 other sets of people in that part of the restaurant. my sister finally asked if the cook was on vacation or what. Then she told us that there was only one cook and they were very busy. Even the district manager was there helping out. the district manger is the one who brought us our food when we got our order the only thing that was cooked worth eating was the 2 over easy eggs. the hash browns were stone cold. and the sausage patty which we had to ask for. the waitress told us it came with sausage links and if we get a patty you only get one. my sister told her we want the patties and we wanted two of them. we ended up only getting one. and she did not offer to refill our drinks--not at all. and I have problems with swallowing so I need a drink with my meals. When the other tables were through eating she was right there taking care of them. But we had finished she was no where to be seen. we sat there waiting for a good 15 minutes waiting on her to come back so we could pay. Then she finally comes and puts her machine on the table and walks away. We have no idea how to work it. My sister tried to put her tip in other than what the machine said and it was not what we wanted to give. When she came back my sister told her the machine had gone off and she wanted to see what was coming out of her bank she told her it was no longer on the screen. My sister looked on her bank apt and it told her it was pending. We were passing through Amarillo and had been driving all day. It was later in the evening when we arrived, so we decided to have IHOP for dinner. The first IHOP we went to, an older gentleman stopped us in the parking lot and informed us that we needed to be ready to wait if we went there, and explained how long he had to wait for a salad. Heading his advice we sought another IHOP, which is how we ended up at this one. When we arrived at this location, there was one other table that had patrons, the rest of the restaurant was empty. We found this to be odd, that no one was there; however, we soon realized why. The waitress was young and apparently new. We had to wait for longer than normal at every part of the process. When we ordered, she stumbled through every aspect of the process, seemingly unaware of what was on the menu. When she delivered our orders, out of the 5 people, 4 of the orders were wrong in one aspect or the other. Some of these mistakes were so far off of what we ordered that we had to start all over. Also, to try and expedite the process we accepted some of the wrong orders, which led to us being overcharged and charged for things we did not want. Since the restaurant was basically empty we could hear the conversation between the waitress and the manager, which the manager said, we are not "going to give it to them". Ultimately, when we received the bill, we questioned one of the charges, the manager agreed to remove a charge. However, when he returned the bill, it was not removed. We paid the extra charge to get away from this horrific experience. I suspect the next time we pass through Amarillo, we will see this location closed with a "for lease" sign on it. If this is how you treat customers and even the locals know it, it is only a matter of time before this catches up with you. It is a shame, because IHOP once was a respected establishment. However, you have turned into an exercise in frustration. read more

This year for Christmas we came here twice since I was feeling under the weather. The morning was packed we had to wait about 30 mins for a table, once we got in the food arrived in about 20 mins, was delicious and no problems at all. When we went back for dinner, we were told by the host that it would not take long to be seated, but it would take an hour to get out food. We sat down and were waited on by the nicest girl, she was ninja like with her refill skills too. She even dropped off candy canes to all of the tables. Horrible food. Service was slow but that seems to be the norm these days. Restaurant did not feel clean. Wish I had read reviews before stopping here. Will not be back. They also presented the tip and before you could change it in the iPad it had already charged you. I see now this is a sneaky tactic that they pull on others. I've had some really good experiences with the International House Of Pancakes. This one, however, was far less than ideal. It was about 11 in the p.m. on the night of June 3rd, 2022. I was watching my favorite movie "The Night at The Museum 2" when I decided to order some Strawberry French Toast. I opened my handy dandy IHOP app and placed an order. It told me it would be ready at 11:28. I left my hotel and arrived at the House of Pancakes around 11:24, prepared to wait a couple of minutes for my toast. However, as I'm approaching the House of Pancakes, I see a worker locking the front door. I quickly approach her and let her know that I had an online order, and that it says online that they are open 24/7. She told me that the cook had left over 2 hours ago, and to have a good night. I sat there in front of the International House of Pancakes for the next 45 minutes absolutely dumbfounded that their trusty app would steal my $10.78. I eventually went back to my hotel and cried myself to sleep. I didn't even finish my favorite movie "The Night at The Museum 2" --that's how upset I was.
