I had a great first experience at this new IHOP in town. We had two servers who were both attentive and pleasant, I might mention we arrived around 3:30p on a weekday and were a party of 3. We were seated right away, but there weren't many people in there. The service was really fast, the coffee we ordered was hot and when it ran out they brought more creamer and another pot right away. The food was hot, delicious, and swear to god even looked like the picture so I was pretty impressed with that. I got the Classic Breakfast Crepes and the green onions and bacon toppings were both crispy and tasted fresh. The eggs inside were not runny. Bathrooms were clean, except the stalls are fairly small and the doors open towards the toilet (I really hate that in any restaurant or store it's just poor design and I am 9.5mos. pregnant so that was a little irritating but it's not related to the food or staff, just the restroom!) Overall, 4 stars because my personal experience was really good, but as I said we went on a weekday when it was really empty inside, I will reserve a 5th star for seeing how service is handled on a busy weekend :) read more

My portion size was more than enough. I ordered the country omelet which came with three pancakes on the side. The omelet was huge and loaded with ham, onions, and hash browns. Pancakes were nice and fluffy. Stick with breakfast items and you really can't go wrong. read more

We normally love IHOP. We like the variety and are always up for a good breakfast. This location is horrendous. The service is terrible. Our food came out completely cold and we were nickel and dimed for every single thing, even though our server didn't forwarn us. We will never, ever go back to this location. Waited 1/2 hour to be seated after being told 5 or 10 minutes. That was fine I could see they were busy. I order the 55 2x2x2 with eggs over medium, sausage and then it comes with pancakes I got my plate with over easy eggs and sent it back. The waiter came and argued with me about over easy eggs I told him that an over medium egg does not have the runny snotty yolk Since he argued with me more I cancelled the meal and sent the whole thing back. The manager came and said he would make my meal and I accepted. I received 3 eggs burnt with no sausage or pancakes So the waiter went and got me pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were not cooked all the way. I don't complain but this was a very very poor experience read more

My son is a very picky eater. I don't know who the Chef I tonight but that meal for my family was EXCELLENT. I picked it up to go before I could pull out of the parking lot my son ate his sandwich. That never happens. Then he ate all of his hash browns and biscuits. Once again never happens. My omelet and hot cakes were cooked to perfection! Oh and the waiter made sure he reviewed my order and that I had all my condiments requested and a couple of things I forgot to ask for. So disappointed! In the last few years, the prices at all IHOPs we have been to have gone way up and the food quality has gone way down. This particular restaurant was really pretty bad in the food department! Our eggs were rubbery, the hash browns were way oily, the bacon was way too thin, and the toast was atrociously thin! The only good thing I can say about this place is that the servers were very nice. Last point: Bring back griddle cakes and corn cakes! read more

Don't bother. We tried it this past Sunday for the first time and here is my story - came in and the place was not packed. 4 young people standing at the entrance counter helping no one including us. My wife says "3 and a highchair" and they still say nothing but they are looking around aimlessly ... Searching for a clue is my guess - asked for a booth and there was one available but they told us it was not available. The people behind us got it. - we proceed to get the kids set and look at the menu. Tick tock goes the clock ... 10 minutes and no one comes by to introduce themselves as our server. Three other tables seated after and around us are getting drinks ... Including the booth! - I then ask for a manager. He slithers out from the kitchen and asks me how he can help. I say to him "this is my first and last time here" he says sorry and gives me an excuse that he was in the kitchen. I didn't realize he was supposed to be our server. Needless, he leaves and our server finally comes, not before asking the table next to us if they need help. Did I mention that they sat after us and they were already being helped by two other servers. - the confusion between the server broke the straw. We got up and left. - icing on the cake .. I am not kidding .. One of the employees out back in the parking lot buying something from a car. You put it together. What an f-in mess this place is. Don't bother! Deserves a zero. Ate at the New Bel Air IHOP for the 2nd Time tonight. Our first trip was a disaster as it took forever to get our food. Actually the Waiter forgot to put it in the system. After a long wait the manager came and apologized and gave us a card for a free entrée at our next visit. I chalked it up as still learning the system and would give it another try. Now concerning tonight... For the record this is my first ever review if that tells you anything. We asked for a booth and were told it would be a 20 minute wait so we opted for a table. We were the only ones waiting to get seated. After walking past 4 empty booths we arrived at our table. The waiter was courteous and took our order. I showed him my coupon for the free entrée and he said give it to him when we get the check. Here is a list of problems... AGAIN: 1. Food took forever. 2. The waiter said they messed up my Harvest grain Pancakes and Policy is that they don't bring out any food until it's all ready. So the rest of the food now sits and gets cold. 3. The forgot my Turkey Bacon. 4. My wife ordered the Build Your Own Omelet with Swiss, tomato and spinach made with egg whites. She received an omelet made with egg substitute w/ Swiss cheese & Tomato... No spinach. Since the waiter was gone waiting for my turkey bacon she ate most of it since she was hungry... (waited forever) We showed the waiter the incorrect omelet and he later apologized that he incorrectly hit the tomato button twice. He was going to go get the manager to remove the omelet from our check . Here's what happened... He came back with a check which removed an entrée from my bill (this was the coupon from my first visit). Take note that the coupon was for an entrée up to 9.99 and he took off the cheapest one which was 6.99. Then the manager did NOT take off the Build Your Own Omelet. They simply took off the .79 cents for the extra tomato. We paid our check and left.... what's the use in arguing anymore. Hopefully one day this place will get it... There is not really much to be said about IHOP in general. I went here on a Friday morning at 10am to see a friend before she moved halfway across the country. Seeing at it was on a weekday morning, we thought it would be pretty empty, but we were wrong and it pretty crowded for a Friday morning. The food was okay. Nothing really too great - I ordered French toast with eggs over easy and bacon and my friend just ordered French toast. Our server was really, really nice and very attentive. Overall, my experience at IHOP was okay. I would go back if I ever needed to grab breakfast quickly and didn't have any other nearby options (there aren't many breakfast/brunch options in the Bel Air area), but I would not frequent this location. read more

Friendly server, but so slow on drink refills. Had the omelet with beef, sausage, ham, peppers and onions. It was decent, but I neglected to look at the price (my fault). $12.99 for an omelet? Yes, it had 3 meats, and not that much inside. I can go down the street to a local bagel shop and get a loaded omelet for $7.99. I have not tried anything els on their menu. read more

In general I have a really good impression of IHOP from the past. Since I had a bunch of kids visiting we decided to eat out for breakfast, I thought "IHOP" pancakes, and tons of other yummy breakfast foods to enjoy there. Little did I know aside from the horrible customer service the food was for me not even considered "good". The wait time for drinks ran about 10mins, the waiter couldn't figure out what kind of a cup a 5 year old kid would drink out of (brings an adult glass). During this time I wished I had a straw for my water but that did not happen until another 13 minutes of waiting... (I wish this was an exaggeration). Finally able to order something, and that actually did not take very long to receive the food after ordering. It was about another 12mins, the food looked fine but that first bite was the biggest let down. Order a foster banana French Toast combo with hash brown, one sausage, a piece of bacon, and scramble eggs. I will include pictures, by the look of the food one would think the look would reflect the taste but no not this food. I may be expecting too much but when you pay money for something that is suppose to be edible it, should be edible in the slightly. Even getting the check and paying took forever, the plus was that they did military discount. Will not return to IHOP in belair unless I am starving with no other alternatives or free. read more

My husband and I drove from the PA line to this ihop and it will be the last time we visit. They screwed up chocolate chip waffle. The place was empty and this girl decided the table behind us was the best table to put silverware together at. We only saw our server once in a half hr time period, he didn't even bring out our food (why am I tipping you if you're not the waiter the whole time?) And I got to listen to 3 employees bitched about some other employee calling out and causing an inconvenience to other people. Yes... that's what we drove a half hour for. Luckily the general manager was there that night. He was nice, offered us gift cards and to cover our meal. We didn't accept the gift cards, why would I want to come back so they could spit in my food? However the girl who was putting silverware together behind us got up very shitty like and tossed the tub on the counter behind her. She needed to be fired. You don't act like that to customers. We started making breakfast at home for dinner. Best Belgian waffle maker I've bought was to replace going to ihop. Would not recommend this place. read more

I've eaten there when every table was taken (free all you can eat Pancake Day} and we were waited on promptly, with freshly cooked food, and a very clean restaurant. I've been to other I Hop restaurants in the next city over, and this one stands out by far, every time I eat there. read more

Messy with their prep. Granddaughter ordered a lunch sandwich and had jelly on her plate with several of her fries stuck in it. My toast had a long wavy blond hair in it. I'm vegan and ordered grits with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and onions cooked in oil. After a few bites, I realized there was a chunk of ham (or bacon?) in my veggies. I returned my meal. It's upsetting to a vegan to eat anything from an animal. The server was great however and they comped the meals (although I offered to pay for my two grandkids meals), and they were apologetic, but I had to go home and eat something there because I was still hungry. Restaurants need to be more careful as this is the second time a restaurant has contaminated my food. The other restaurant had a shrimp in my veggies which had I been allergic would have been dangerous or deadly. read more

The service at the bel air plaza IHOP was horrible!! They were slow working and server very rude. The food was fine but service there was a no go. When we got the check we paid for the food but didn't tip her yet. We were going to tip before we left out but when she saw we didn't tip yet she said " don't forget to tip girls I don't work for free " in a rude tone making us not even want to tip her at all! She was standing over top of us waiting for her tips which made us very uncomfortable. We tipped her 15% but she really didn't deserve it! We ended up calling the manager after we got home and spoke to them. IHOP needs to work on the servers attitudes, next time I visit IHOP I will not be dealing with this. read more
