I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately. The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive. The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility. Service was also excellent. So good. Honestly I have no notes. The Mint Room is everything I would've hoped for and I'll be back so many more times. The food is fresh and flavorful without being heavy or overly buttery. My first time here and I tried the lamb chops. I did a to-go order because I was honestly just passing through the area and decided to go in and try it out and I'm sooo HAPPY that I did. The lamb chops were meaty, and seasoned just right. The lamb chops came with a salad and I ordered rice as well. Ordered the chicken jalfrezi to go. It was completely unlike any jalfrezi I've ever had before. This had no bell peppers and only 1 slice of an onion I could find. There was most likely tomatoes in the sauce but no actual chunks. Instead it had a bizarre mix of green peas, lima beans, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, and green beans. The quality of the chicken was also mostly connective tissue sections of dark meat. There was only 2 chunks of chicken that were just meat. There was no consistency to the amount of each veggie either. It was loaded with green peas, lima beans, and carrots, but the other veggies you would find little pieces of it or just 1 chunk. The zucchini was a few small pieces that hidden among the rest, the cauliflower was just 1 huge piece and nothing more, and the green beans were just a few. Just overall a very bizarre, inconsistent, and unappetizing dish. It's supposed to be a stir fried dish, but all of the veggies they added were things you'd use in soups and stews. Great food and drink on a cold snowy day. I've been eyeing this place for a while for the buffet style line up advertised online but I ended up trying a few dishes. I enjoyed the wide array of drinks including a mocktail list. I tried the blueberry sparkler which had the perfect amount of sweet with a few gummy worms to garnish the top lol. My server ( it says mani on the receipt but I'm sure it was another name) was funny and attentive, checking on me every so often to see if I needed anything. Starting with an appetizer of Panni poori/ Golgapappa I've been seeing on my fyp I just had to give em a try. The crispy shells you fill up with a cold mixture the raw onion and spices gave it a full flavor with a mixture to pour over gave it a refreshing kick. My main dish garlic naan (nice full pieces for one serving)and the curry goat that was delicious and fell right off the bone! I love that you have the option to pick a spice level (mines was 8 and I loved it). Overall everything was great clean bathrooms and family style seating for big groups. We came in for dinner, I will say they keep the buffet containers set up all day even though the buffet is only offered during lunch time. We ordered drinks: I got a regular lemonade while my husband got the spicy special lemonade drink (can't remember the name). My lemonade was good but his drink was .... interesting. He liked it but he is more adventurous than me...it was too spiced like gingery. We ordered the samosa, they were okay nothing to write home about. They tasted freshly made. Then we got our entrees and the bread basket. For $15 they give you A LOT of naan and bread. I think this is only worth it if you have 3+ people. I ordered the paneer tikka masala. It was absolutely delicious. A little sweet and at a 4 spicy I could have done a little spicier. They give you a generous portion of rice with your entree which I also appreciate. I really like this place but I took a star off cause I felt like at the end I got hounded to do a review. I really dislike when restaurants do that. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. I cannot believe how INCREDIBLE absolutely EVERYTHING was! My husband and I were not familiar with Indian food at all, and we had the best service who was able to recommend perfect dishes. We started with the sampler appetizer. Loved everything on the plate and getting to try multiple things. Then for our entrees, we split three between the four of us and it was the perfect amount. We got the king shrimp - suggested by our server and it was amazing and slightly sweet. We also got a lamb dish I don't remember the name of, and butter chicken. This is the perfect place for people who love Indian food, and also the people who have never tried it and are willing to try something new. The restaurant was not crowded so we were sat immediately. Appetizers arrived quickly, and the main entrees also did not take a long time. We were excited to try our food because the smell throughout the restaurant alone was satisfying. Atmosphere was great. Restaurant was quiet, clean, and had well lighting. The quality of the food was phenomenal! Very flavorful, aromatic, colorful, and refreshing. The prices are noticeably higher than other Indian restaurants, so just take that into consideration if you decide to dine here. I personally think that the prices are worth it. The dining experience here is a lot better then other Indian restaurants. Newer building, better lighting, better smell, and better overall feel. We moved from the city last year and were reluctant to try Harford Co Indian, having frequented all the Indian restaurants downtown (for 30years). Well, I'm happy to report that this place is AWESOME! They really hit the mark, as good as any downtown spot (except The Ambassador, of course). We will certainly be dining here in the future. For a midweek lunch buffet, it is pretty good! I will preface this review by saying, I don't like buffets because I like hot (temperature) and extremely spicy food. Neither of those things work well with a buffet. The food was fresh and there were a lot of options. I enjoyed the various vegetarian and chicken dishes along with as much naan as we needed. It was nice because I was able to have dessert and chai tea, neither of which I typically order off of the menu. The people working here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They explained the weekend buffet is even better because they are very busy and can put fish and goat on it as well. I enjoyed that the menu described what each dish was, as I haven't had a chance to eat many Indian dishes so almost everything was new to me. I can honestly say everything I ate was amazing. When you order they'll ask you for your spice level, on a 1-10 scale, which I thought was nice because you can enjoy a dish super spicy or more mild depending and not miss out on something because it's too spicy for your taste. We did not realize there was an Indian place in Bel Air! Saw driving by and had to stop! We were not disappointed! I ordered palak paneer (medium) for myself, and chicken tikka masala (zero spice) for hubby as well as the vegetable samosas. Everything was delicious. Food came out super fast, piping hot. My husband is not much of an adventurous eater, but does like chicken tikka masala. He said it was the best he's ever had. He has never liked samosas before, but also loved those here. A relatively new restaurant in the same complex as Liberatore's, Barrett's, Poke Bowl, Popeye's, and Chili's -- The Mint Room is an Indian Restaurant in the same place where Alchemy Elements used to be. A colleague at work found out they have a lunch buffet, so 7 of us stormed the Mint Room looking for some good Indian food. There is a full bar when you walk in, and then booths and tables. The lunch buffet had many selections, notably: Paneer Masala (instead of chicken tikka masala at most places), Saag, chicken curry, a potato/cauliflower medley, roasted chicken legs, and butter chicken. From consensus the chicken legs (they were very fresh) and the butter chicken were the hits. There are a couple other dishes (white rice, noodles, salad, etc) that rounded out the buffet. Two desserts -- a warm citrus medley/pudding (we couldn't 100% figure it out), and a rice pudding -- were very nice to have. Also included was hot chai tea, which was very aromatic. The buffet comes with complimentary naan as well, as we were given 3 baskets for the 7 of us. Nothing special but the buttery naan is always nice to have. Everything was clean and well organized. The staff was as nice and helpful as can be. For $14.99, I highly recommend the Mint Room for Indian buffet, better than the other options down the street at the Festival area. What a fantastic dining experience...everybody loved their food. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the delicious Indian food odors. The garlic naan was addictive. The paneer tikka masala was mouth watering. The mint margarita was a surprisingly tasty smoky cocktail. The spice range is 1-10 and a 3 suited me just fine! I would return for sure--this rivals delicious Indian food such as Mount Everest in Baltimore. However, for the same prices, Mt Everest does have larger portions. We took my daughter to the Mint Room for her 18th birthday. This was our first time visiting this restaurant. It is located in a strip mall. There are plenty of parking spaces. We were able to get immediate seating, without reservations, for table of four on a Saturday night. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with modern and traditional Indian decor. It appears they kept some of the dining tables from the previous restaurant that was there. We sat in a booth. The manager was helpful in finding a dish for my daughter with food allergies. She had the dinner portions of Murgh Seekh (ground chicken kebabs). It was seasoned with various spices - very tasty. The rest of the family shared the goat curry, lamb vindaloo, Chaap Lucknowi (lamb chops), and the Mint assorted bread basket (variety of naan and roti).
