We ordered from door dash who were AMAZING and on time from the ihop on 14th street in Bradenton online because its Fathers day. First off we got told by door dash that the server, Ryan flung our food around. Than it got worse. My husband got French toast combo. His has browns were not cooked, all white! I got chicken and waffles which were fine. Our side of mozzarella sticks were inedible. Two were stuck together and didn't cook right. Rest I attempted to eat and cheese was hard still like a cheese stick from the fridge. The potatoes which were undercooked as well, soft and gooey. The food is good but the building is crumbling apart! I do not know if this is a corporate or franchise but it is very clear that they are not taking care of this place. There are holes in the walls and ceiling. Not clean at all, either. The caddy that holds the syrup containers is covered in crusted syrup. There was a bunch of dust on the window ledge as well. The servers seem nice enough but service is a little slow. They undercooked our eggs. In the past they have also gotten the order wrong. We called ahead to ask if their cooks and servers wear masks while preparing food and they told us "yes, they wear masks." But when we arrived to pickup, NO ONE was masked. Worst IHOP I have ever been to! Stay away! Server/Greeter never smiled or greeted us. She was on Facetime with her friend when we arrived, and hardly acknowledged us. She gave us a table right next to the front door so that she didn't have to walk any extra steps to take our orders or bring us anything. The restaurant itself needs to be demolished. As we were seated, we noticed it was pretty busy. No complaint there. We weren't asked anything to start off with and were patiently waiting for us to be asked what to drink. Almost an hour goes by, they started to seat new people and asked them what to start off with. Servers passing by and basically ignoring us. We still had our menus on our tables! Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and waited by the door for someone to acknowledge us or seat us. After 5 minutes finally a server took us to a table where we sat for another 5 minutes while we watched the entire wait staff mopping the floor, cleaning tables and folding napkins. Another customer was sat before us and she still wasn't approached by anyone. That was our last visit to this location. We got up and walked by the kitchen and saw plates of food just sitting. Poor wait staff and even poorer management. We drove to Bob Evens where we were greeting at the door, seated immediately and had our order taken timely. I was with a party of 9 with two babies. We waited 45 minutes to sit and it took an hour for the food to come. They had to seat us twice because they couldn't accommodate our table. We waited over 45 minutes to get our food. It was the wrong food orders and our meal was cold. We had a family reunion and we were pissed. We walked out. It was a horrible experience. Came here somewhat early - around 6am. Some first impressions: it smelled like urine. Maybe they just mopped the floors/wiped the counters with some dirty water, but it smelled awful. The waitress was very friendly. I'll give them that. My boyfriend and I ordered the steak and eggs entree along with minestrone soup. It took a good 30 minutes for the food to come out. We were the only patrons at the time....so not sure what was with the delay. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from IHOP, but man this was disappointing. My soup was COLD. Not even lukewarm. Cold. Not sure if that's because they scooped it out early and left it out to cool down, or if the soup wasn't properly warmed before they scooped it out. I don't know. I was hungry so I ate it. We generally like iHop but this one had an unfriendly hostess and no waitress service at all. After 10-15 minutes, I finally turned around to see where our wait staff was. No one was anywhere in sight, but the man behind me smiled and said they had waited for an hour and that it was typical of this restaurant. My boyfriend does not like Ihop for some reason. I find a location on Tamiami Tr next to Barnes and Noble very clean, with good food for breakfast, lunches or late dinner. Ate there multiple times. Love crepes, pork with potatoes, and of course pancakes. Price is great too. Be aware that it gets sometimes crowded on weekend mornings and lunch time. read more

I mean, what do you expect from Ihop? Haha. This particular Ihop isn't the best. The service is mediocre and we found ants crawling all over our table. When I tried to order my meal, the waitress said "Oh, ew, no. That's not good." Then tried to get in my personal space to tell me what to order. I'm glad I was saved from a bad meal but it was still rude and unnecessary. When I finally got my food, it was cold and the waitress brought us things that weren't ours and so on. Nothing less than stellar customer service. Greeted immediately at the door with a warm smile and immediately seated. Offered OJ and poured delicious piping hot coffee and food was served hot quick and delicious!!! Obvious attention has been paid to the cleanliness of this location as it is nearly spotless. If I could give zero stars I would. My brother and nephew came in to eat and the receptionist at the desk didn't even say hello or look up at us as she was entering in information into her computer. No "I'll be right with you" or "Excuse me for one minute". Just typing away and acting like we weren't even there. After about a minute of this she finally said that it would be 15 minutes until she could seat us. I looked in the restaurant and most of the tables were empty. She said for us to sit down at the entrance and she would seat us when she could as she was the only waitress working. She was rude and terribly unprofessional. Ordered my food online at 9:50AM and the website said to arrive for pick up at 10:09AM. I got there on time and checked in with the host. It took him a while to find my ticket and it turned out they hadn't started on it yet. I sat down and waited. After exactly 30 minutes I got back up and asked how much longer I would need to wait. He didn't remember who I was but when he went to check on my ticket they still hadn't even started on my order. I asked to cancel my order. They've already charged my card. read more

First off, I used to love this place, but as the saying goes - "it takes only one bad time to turn a customer away." This was that time. Stopped in to have lunch with my friend. First clue should have been when the place was empty other than two couples and the two waitresses left us standing there for ten minutes. Neither were busy at that time. Finally get seated at a DIRTY table and then it takes five minutes to get the drink order put in because as soon as we're seated, our blond waitress disappears. There are only six customers in the place, that number includes us. The drinks are finally brought. A new couple walks in to be seated. We had to wait twenty minutes to have our food order put in, and the couple who came in after us had their food order in before our waitress ever came back. We've officially been in the place for thirty-five minutes and the food order was just put in. Remember, now there is only eight people in the entire place and a third waitress arrived to work to help. At the forty-five minute mark, we finally get the food. The chicken was good, a little lacking in flavor, but the waffles were soggy and not fully cooked. The pancakes managed to be fine for my friend. Glasses get down to empty. Waitresses have vanished. Suddenly, there's a black guy in normal garb helping himself to the drink machines. Our blond waitress (she's very clearly a dyed blonde) starts yelling at him. They notice we're all staring and move further toward the restrooms but we can all still clearly hear them. Very unprofessional! Turns out, their friend works there. The whole lot of them hooting and hollering like high schoolers while customers need refills, food, receipts, and another group of people walked in to be seated. Ignoring all of this for a good five minutes, they continue before realizing "oh yeah, I'm still at work!" By this time, I am pissed and so are the other customers talking amongst themselves. After this horrible façade and nearly two hour lunch that should have been only an hour, finally hunt down the waitress for the receipt. As she comes to pick it up, I ask for a coffee to go. Soon as she comes back only with the receipt, she disappears yet AGAIN! Never got my coffee to go. My friend never got another batch of their unlimited pancakes. This was such a bad experience that I will never return and will ensure my friends go elsewhere during their lunches because how can I recommend a place that is unclean, has soggy food, and the worst service in town? It's even worse than Steak & Shake and I swore off that place long ago. At least those guys eventually get the food to you and it's good. IHOP really needs to rethink their staffing if they want to keep this place open. When the waitresses are stuck up, rolling eyes at customers in between not doing their simplistic job, and are overwhelmed with a half-dozen people in a restaurant, it's time to hand out the pink slips. We came here for Christmas dinner, the ham and turkey dinners specially advertised. While awaiting a seat, we overheard one cook say to another that something would take an hour. When we caught a waitress, we noted this and she said, Yes, it will be an hour wait. She was very curt. Why didn't she tell us this when we arrived?? And the place was far from full. AND they had no ham left anyway. We left and went to the other IHOP in town; mentioned our experience and the waitress there said she knows who we were talking about; she had been fired.
