The staff was excellent, extremely attentive. The food was fresh abd came w bug portion sizes! Great way to start your day!

Definitely a middle-of-the-road experience here. Service was great, but the food fell short. Our waitress was attentive and great at conversation, even offering us an extra basket of beignets! Disappointingly, most of the food was pretty bland and dry. The fried pickles were especially bad, and tasted a bit freezer burnt. We were surprised by the biscuits, though, which were warm and buttery.

An old country store and more When you enter this Cracker Barrel, maybe any Cracker Barrel, you will find yourself in a store full of clothes, knickknacks, souvenirs, toys, sports items, just a bunch of things. Their interpretation of a country store. Head to the back left and there you will find the restaurant. The restaurant is large, has a fireplace, a décor of a lot of miscellaneous things. Cracker Barrel is a unique place. The menu is also somewhat unique. Many dishes include grits, they have cornbread, gravy. Many chicken dishes. Their interpretation of southern cooking. I had a Country Fried Steak, that's certainly southern cuisine. Got it with sides of whole kernel corn and a loaded hashbrown casserole. I definitely liked my food. My fried steak was topped with their sawmill gravy, only a few less eatable bites, and the loaded hashbrown casserole with all that cheese is the way to go. This was a great choice for lunch today. Service was friendly and fine, the food took about 15 minutes to arrive after ordering. No cold food here. When you finish you pay for your meal at the cashiers in the store part of Cracker Barrel. Experiencing a Cracker Barrel is not just a traveller's oasis, we have one right on Cortez just west of 14th St W.

It's like hit or miss. Sometimes great sometimes not so great. I will never order their pork chops again.

Service was good but the food seems to have gone downhill. The price is fair, ambiance is cool. Better than Dennys it ihop.

Dry roast beef with no gravy, lack of condiments, stale cornbread, barely warm food. A real disappointment.

Same smell we know locally. My wife told me that she witnessed the manager spraying something near the other bar patrons behind me as he went toward the kitchen. She knew I would be so upset about it that she did not point it out at the time. I just curled my nose and thought about another seat or to vacate the premise. It dissipates quickly so we tried to be forgiving. The tab was inflated by a drink never ordered and they charge extra for Tajin on the rim of your margarita without notice or justification. So we needed the owner to approve the corrections of the bill. We were told that it became a "flavored" margarita when Tajin is added to the rim in place of salt or no salt. Then we got the "costs are up" story that we have not heard before while ordering my margaritas anywhere else. The waitress did manage to get in a few "I don't make the rules, I just work here" clip that we read here in other reviews. So my wife was pissed and our return visits are now very unlikely. I am not happy either but was looking forward to coming back for liver and onions with our stepfather very soon. Doubtful now. Poop stench in the face, spraying chemicals in the dining room during service and nickel and dime issues make it hard to justify taking our family back here. That is what disappointed me the most. I know this place had a real chance with us at first. Probably not now. ‍

Walked in during middle of lunch after observing a mostly empty parking lot outside. One occupied table of 2 in bar area and only 3 occupied tables in dining room. Are you kidding? Our food experience was very disappointing. Clam Chowder - bland and mostly flavorless. Ranch dressing on the salad was gross. Tasted like a mouthful of preservatives. Pasta was average but probably the best item we tried. Biggest disappointment was the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Surely they will be yummy as usual? Nope! Dry and lacking much of its popular flavor profile. I recall that they used to brush melted butter (possibly garlic butter) on the finished biscuits but not on either of our baskets of biscuits. Not very good compared to how I remember them. Service was friendly and prompt so that's really the only positive. It's clear to me why it is that they are struggling. This was likely my last visit to a Red Lobster

I generally like ordering food that is named after the restaurant, thinking it's an item they are particularly proud of. It wasn't hard for me to decide to select their The S.O.B., a smoked bacon and blue cheese sandwich. In under 10 minutes our food arrived, and it was super good. With a brioche bun and all the toppings this was a tall burger. While I tried their natural cut fries from another plate, very good, I had ordered their coleslaw. That was an outstanding side with red cabbage, a bit tropical, a bit sweet. Service was wonderful, she was friendly and willing to chat while it wasn't busy, and did an excellent job with drink refills and handling the check stuff. They do have a service charge for using a credit card but that was easily removed when I paid with cash. The décor was rich, in that the walls were covered with $1 bills. Gives the place character.
