It is so freezing cold in here. There is no reason to have the a/c cranked up like this. I am literally shivering in my seat. Wasn't going to order hot coffee at noon but I did. Service was prompt and polite agreed with the temp being way too cold and said she'd ask to adjust it. Indeed, about 10 or so minutes later it felt like it was getting more comfortable. I love ihop pancakes and ordered the blueberry. They were quite tasty but could have used more blueberry sauce. Also, have the pancakes become smaller at ihop. They look so much smaller than they used to be. But the prices have really gone up. And a side of two slices of bacon which was smoky and perfectly crispy. Their decaf coffee is smooth and hit the spot to warm me up. They need to check their air handling system. Because of the temp it was set at I noticed lots of condensation and what looks like black mold all over the vent. read more

I've been here a few times now because it's usually quick and easy. The service is on point as they say. We walked into what felt like a freezer! Almost to the point of being able to see your own breath. The waitress said it's either really cold or really hot. It was FREEZING!!! Did I say that yet!? Stopped for an early breakfast on the way back to IL from Ohio family Thanksgiving. By far the star of the visit was the wonderful young lady, Selenia holding down things in the pre-dawn hours. She was pleasant, welcoming, effective and a great ambassador for the brand. My wife got a breakfast fave combo, and was happy with everything. The French toast slice was thick enough to be two slices, nobody got shorted on that one. I got a ham and cheese omelet, comes with a couple standard pancakes, no complaints. There was plenty of cheeses in my well executed omelet. It is a chain restaurant, there will always be good days and bad days. We had a great hostess/server, and a decent breakfast. I remember going to Ihop a long time ago and we decided to check it out again. Not really a great experience overall. I ordered their new big breakfast burrito and ordered no cheese in mine. She responded back with no cheese? I said yes please, no cheese. Well, it came with cheese in it. The sausage on the inside taste rubbery and was not worth getting. I hate to leave a bad review, but I think I'll be good with another 4-5 years, if not triple that, not visiting Ihop. Never got a refill until the check came, so that should tell you why I couldn't address the problem of my burrito, and I went without a drink a long time before the check came. I tried to get her attention and I understand if she was helping a fellow coworker with a big table, but don't forget to quickly acknowledge the table that's appointed to you to serve, in case food was cooked wrong or needing a refill. As I said, I get it if you have a giant party, but I counted 3 servers at 11:30 pm makes me think at least 1 could have at least took a split second to at least ask how's the food once we digged into it like other places, but that never happened. read more

I usually order curbside every Friday. Food is always ready even when I show up early (which is pretty much always). One time they forgot the crispy potatoes and I called to let them know. Debbie said make sure to tell us next time I order. So I called and ordered online. Debbie got me, just before I left she called and asked if I want 2 orders on potatoes which I did. Arrived there and evidently there was a mix up so they made my order twice, I got both free of extra charge... that people is customer service. Great experience every single time! We came for dinner on just a casual Saturday afternoon. The burgers were fantastic, they really could've pulled off the Ihob name. The server, Alaina. She was a sweetheart and made sure we have everything we needed. The kitchen forgot the veggies on my dad's burger and she fixed it for us right away. We had a good laugh. In all fairness I went on a Sunday and we all know breakfast/brunch on a Sunday is going to involve some busy time in any half decent restaurant. Long story short, their advertised "made from scratch, made with love" February chocolate pancakes are horrible. And the "combo" with 2 eggs and bacon will surprisingly run you over $18. Dry, no butter offered, two TINY slivers of strawberry...if you're going to serve food so far from what you advertise, you shouldn't have the picture on the table for me to see when the disappointment of a meal arrives. It's been awhile since I've been to an IHOP so we decided to stop in today as we were in the area. As a pancake fan, I was looking forward to trying their specialty cupcake pancakes, which as advertised are pancakes filled with sprinkles and topped with purple vanilla icing. I ended up getting the pancake combo and for only $8 and some change, you get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of meat, and hash browns. So I feel like I can't be too disappointed that the cupcake pancakes did not have any purple icing and the sprinkles seemed to be not particularly well dispersed. They were still good, just nothing to get too terribly excited about. My eggs, turkey sausage, and hash browns were better than average though. My husband's Swedish crepes were also pretty tasty too. Contrary to many of the reviews the service was fantastic. Perhaps we caught them on a good day or things are getting better. The safety precautions were on point as well. So while we probably won't make this a routine stop. It was definitely worth the trip. read more

Me & my boyfriend, wanted something to eat while out & decided to stop by, not thinking a legendary & well known business will turn out to be a horrific dining experience. We arrived inside and it was empty, no one in sight, no one in the front to greet or seat us right away. Walking through the restaurant, we noticed a lot of empty booths and seats. We was seated in the back which we felt immediately a cold drift coming from the window & door near are table. Once seated, our drink order wasn't taken right away, a nearby waitress cleaning up a big mess from previous guests, decided to take our order, which we appreciated. Well another waitress named Misha seen that & taken over her table & our orders, she wasn't friendly and had a nasty attitude, she shortly return with our drinks. We ordered our food, after while our food arrived. Cheese sticks- Tasted like they was frozen & placed into a microwave, no melted cheese inside, they was serve with cold marinara. Cowboy burger-Lack flavor and enough bbq sauce to balance the burger & toppings. French fries was hot as in temperature and seasoned well. Pancakes- They was not cook throughly and I was serve cold syrup, even the syrup at McDonald's isn't cold. To only be told by Misha the waitress with the attitude problem, they always serve cold syrup for pancakes, she did offer to have my pancakes remade. To my surprise my pancakes tasted much better and I received warm syrup. Also there was no complaints with my Turkey bacon. Will I dine in again, NO. That place needs deep cleaning. I wanted so much more from my experience. I continue to give this location chances and time and time again, they disappoint. What's that definition of insanity again?! That last time I sat and ate in this location, prior to COVID-19, they were literally out of 50% (not a guesstimate) of what I ordered. Recently, I ordered dinner for my 93 year old grandmother and I. Please see picture attached of the her Roasted Turkey Meal. The turkey was cut up in pieces as opposed to sliced, the potatoes we runny and the gravy was missing. My fierce, fiesty, tell it like it is grandma was not a happy camper- and guess who had to hear about serving her a "Meels on Wheels meal" (her words, not mine). The mozzarella sticks have always been a favorite of mine on their menu. I order them 100% of the time I go. Last time they were out. This time they were really heavy when I picked them up. I tried to give a benefit because they may not have been accustomed to packing for transport and thought it was just wet from condensation in the box. However, upon further inspection they were grease soaked, hallow and just sad. Inedible. I wish this would have been better. read more

If I could rate lower than a 1 star - I would. My sister & I went in to IHop in Hilliard on Saturday, 6/28. We turned in our orders. 5-6 minutes later they brought my sister her entire order. They brought me my "side". They said my sandwich would be out shortly. I waited, and waited. I finally asked the waitress about it. She seemed annoyed that I asked but said she would check. She kept walking past us and serving others but didn't stop back in to update me on my order. I finally asked again. Again, she seemed annoyed that I asked, but said she would ask. Again, she did not come back to update me. My sister finished her lunch and we finally told the waitress that we would just like our bill. She said she would put my lunch in a bag. Not once did she apologize or offer to take the sandwich off of my bill. By that time I was afraid she had spit in my sandwich so I paid for it and then threw it away. read more

My wife and I arrived at 8:45PM to get a late night bite. The place was empty except for two tables. We were seated and then left at 9:00, without even being greeted by a soul! How do you review an iconic institution? By giving it a passing grade. If you don't come here for the pancakes at least most of the time, you have a serious problem. Because IHOP is where the Ley-lines of value and flavor cross. A veritable Stonehenge of breakfast, it calls to the throngs of humanity looking for a solid morning serving of calories without breaking the bank. The closest competitor I can think of is Bob Evans, but really, I think IHOP skews more towards Waffle House whereas Bob Evans goes towards a more sit-down formal demographic. So, the elephant in the room. 3-Stars, right? "What's the deal, Brent?" I hear you ask in semi-snotty, expectant tone of dismissal, "IHOP not *good* enough for you? Not every place can be Fox in the Snow, you hipster!" Okay, first off, I don't like your tone, questioning-type-hypothetical person! I'll have you know that I am a patron of the legendary Honey-Dip Donuts (check out my review!), Jack & Benny's Barnstormer Diner, and any number of hole-in-the-wall (literally for J&B's) greasy spoons. I'm no elitist, despite my preferences and predisposition towards exposition! Furthermore, I gave SuperChef's one of my more harsher reviews, so check your expectations at the door, good DAY to you! Secondly, I think we have a few expectations of IHOP. We expect a modicum of efficient, if somewhat streamlined, service. We also expect a degree of timeliness in getting our flapjacks to our table. Neither one of those expectations fully hit the mark. Combine that with the usual full court press of humanity that tends to be a hallmark of the waiting vestibule (unless you come a bit earlier to bit the rush), and this location doesn't particularly jump out at me as a top-of-the-list option when thinking about where to loosen my belt. I mean, realistically, Cracker Barrel is *right down the road*, so...yeah. But unlike some of the single stars I've seen for this location, I think it's deserving an emphatic A-OK becasue it's clean, the servers are nice, the food was hot, if a little delayed, and I came out fed for about $20. Where do I begin. We were 1 of 3 tables in the entire place. Ordered our food and thought would be fast. Nope!! 12 minutes after we ordered the waitress told me they were out of the kind of pancakes I wanted. Then she proceeded to stand there with a dumb look on her face. I told her just remove it and bring the kids their food. 25 minutes later...the food arrived. Was burnt and mediocre at best. We visited this ihop because we had always had great food and service in the past. There were 3 of us eating this evening. I ordered the Monster Burger because it looked amazing in the menu, my boyfriend and mom ordered breakfast combos with pancakes. It took us over 30 minutes to receive our food and there were maybe 7 other tables if people, with 3 servers total. We finally received our food and my burger was awful. It tasted like spoiled beef. I asked for the manager and it took her almost 20 minutes to help us. She offered to take it off the bill, and make something else. Because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for food, I just had her take it off My boyfriend said that his bacon was terrible as well. I settled for eating one of my mom's pancakes and left hungry. I will not be going back. I'll drive to Denny's from now on. read more

Every restaurant in the country has figured out how to handle a waiting list. Not only has IHOP not figured this out, they have so much attitude when you call to ask. We got our name on the list and sat in our car because there wasn't even standing room in the restaurant. When I called to see where we were on the list, we were told that they wouldn't save our table if we weren't in the restaurant when our name was called. I asked if there was room for us inside, they admitted there wasn't and said they would come outside to call our name. Once we were seated, our waitress was very kind and patient with us. She was a pleasure! I know things are tough right now and everyone is understaffed, but there's no excuse to be rude and inconsiderate. Decided to get out and about to try this new IHOP out in Hilliard for my Bday brunch. Got there about 1:30p and had to wait about 10 mins cus this place was buzzin! Plenty of waitstaff on the floor turning over tables from the time I arrived till the time I left with people still having to wait to score a table. OK, this is a new location, the second to open in the Cowlumbus area after the Picktown IHOP and somewhat closer to me but some folks were in almost religious reverance to be able have a IHOP in town. I was looking for one of my favs their crepes and decided to make a "international" breakfast with eggs, bacon and snausage links. The crepes with lingonberries and lingonberry butter were the awesome. Everything else was warmish and looked and tasted like they came out of a steam table instead of the grill. My "scrambled" eggs were a disc of egg chopped up and served on a oversized plate with the crepes on a seperate small plate. Even with all the waitstaff I still went long periods without drink refills or check-ins. Good thing it was my bday or the tip would have been much less. Overall my trip to this location fits the "Meh" catagory. Had much better up in the Toledo area IHOPs so I hope they get their act together before my next International Pankake trip. Reading reviews for this location had me worried, but I was pleasantly surprised with the speed of service and overall quality of my order. The only question was which syrup is best? Last time we were in an IHOP (Las Vegas is where we used to live before this pandemic wiped out my line of work) was back in August, when things were slowly opening up, and there were empty tables in between tables with people sitting at them. (Still remaining distant socially) but there was no issues with the quality of service. Apparently things in Ohio are different. Well, there wasn't really a wait to be seated as there was only two of us, and about 8:30ish. After about 30 minutes after ordering, the waitress brought us most of our food, but she forgot the side of hash browns I ordered and had to ask for them, after she had to go get us syrup for the pancakes because during this 'pandemic', apparently they cannot leave ANYTHING on the tables anymore, but the syrup she brought was in a little plastic cup with no lid- how exactly is this preventing ANY SPREAD of ANYTHING? sorry- I got off task for a minute. All of every bit of our food was cold,(banana/strawberry pancakes; 2 sides of bacon-one of which the pieces was not fully cooked; 2 orders of hash browns; a side of ham (which LITERALLY was equivalent to about two slices of bacon in size- for $3.19 mind you) and two eggs with wheat toast) my fiance's eggs were actually partially raw- gross. I'm not sure about anyone else, but cold pancakes is no way to start the day. So, we decided to not even finish the meal- only about 15% of my pancakes were eaten of a 4-stack; I only ate two pieces of a 4-piece bacon; and two bites of hash browns, hell, I didn't even finish the apple juice because I was so disgusted with the whole experience. Then the waitress shows up at our table- after not even stopping by to ask "How is everything?" She just shows up ONCE, to hand us the check- I asked for the manager, and she was concerned then. So i asked, "How much is that bill?"- $32.XX (can't exactly recall the change part of the bill) - "Yeah, im gonna pay $32 dollars for cold food??- lets see your manager please" The manger seemed sincere in her apology, but "I'm sorry, our kitchen is short staffed today" is absolutely NO reason for serving cold food. Seems like they were more concerned with seating as many people as possible, no matter how long the wait, nor the quality of food that was being served. The manager did crumple up the bill, and apologized for the lack of service. I realize that 'these things happen'- but in the same breath, you cannot expect customers to 'be happy' when experiencing such a distasteful experience, considering having to wait; and trying to understand what anyone is saying behind these ridiculous masks; and some of us are no longer earning as much as 'before the pandemic'- so really, 'wasting money' is not an option in our life, we chose to go to IHOP because we'd not ate there in quite a few months, and usually have good experiences there, and we were both famished, and remained that way because of the lack of quality control at this restaurant, needless to say- we will not return at this location anytime soon.
