This is a random family they seem to be having a fun time

I loooooove the food for real . The service is so good and the waiter thought we were special bc we were having such a good time (lol) . The ambience reminds me of my aunts house, she died last year after she was burned in a car fire. I miss her sm.

Country House is such a great place for families, their customer service is impeccable! They really make sure that you're taken care of. Everything is delicious . I've ordered their tasty Strawberrry Peach Mimosa and it really "hit the spot." You can really taste the peach in the Mimosa. For my breakfast entrée, I've ordered their Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was delectable. It comes with frosting , but I'm opted out since the French toast is already sweet with Cinnamon Roll dough. Country House has a wide selection of breakfast items as well as lunch & dinner entrées. Their prices on their menu are reasonable.

The atmosphere is great. The restaurant is well lit.... There are a variety of options as to where you want to sit.. I prefer a booth by the window ... I haven't been here in 10 years, or more... I came across this place driving home one day.. Not really sure from where, but I remember that it was memorable the first time. I then came back with my Mom and my Aunt... I forgot about it.. So many years later we were trying to figure out where to eat. I just couldn't put my finger on where I wanted to get something to eat. I was looking in the area and then I was like wait I know a place over here .. I couldn't remember the name, but I remembered Cal Sag Road.. something about House.. I quickly found it with a simple Google search.. Thank God, or I would've drove around for a while.. Years later, here I am yet again.. They didn't disappoint.. To drink we got iced tea and lemonade.. The iced tea was unsweetened which was perfect to add some sugar of my own.. The lemonade was a little sweet.. The price was right the portion size was great.. You don't feel rushed to eat here.. it's a nice change of pace a little bit away from the city... a little Country House away from the city.... The menu is extensive.. Yet everything tastes amazing so far for me.. I'm going to take a picture of the menu and I suggest you do the same.. To get ideas on what to order upon the next time out.. Treat yourself.. This is a place that doesn't disappoint.. My friend got the Greek pork chops.. I got the Cajun pasta.. it was the right flavor for me.. I like spicy so I requested red pepper flakes.. My friend said the pork chops were perfect and the potatoes were a great accompaniment.. The chops were juicy and well cooked.. We got a chicken with rice soup... and a garden salad.. The soup was delicious.. Not overly creamy and shredded chicken with vegetables... Overall 10 out of 10 thank you very much for the food and amazing hospitality. Oh.. We ordered breaded mushrooms, and they were FRESH, whole and juicy.. So good!

No complaints here. Stopped here to grab dinner for my grandmother. Location was easily accessible with parking lot. I opted for take out but was able to enjoy a glass of red wine ($9) while they prepared the food. Food: Pan fried chicken with mash potatoes and green beans (choice of side), Chicken Kebab with Rice and Cucumber Salad with Feta plus Pita. Each dinner came with choice of soup or salad. I opted for cheese broccoli soup and tomato basil. They also placed complimentary bread and butter in my bag. Yum dinner entrees were $20 each. Dinner was good. I was starving and ate all my food but saved soup for later. My grandmother was able to make two meals out of pan fried chicken. I ended up making grilled cheese with the bread and gave my husband my soup since he hadnt eaten dinner. Dessert counter looked so good so grabbed a few sweets. Pound cake $3, Cheesecake $4.95 and Pecan Bar $3.95. Cheesecake was good. Pecan bar was too sweet for me. All in all cute place. Good food. Would try again if in the area. I think they are more known for brunch. People were getting breakfast for dinner.

Excellent breakfast. Started with a carafe of mimosas followed by strawberry crepes and I had the blueberry lemon muffin French toast. So delicious! Big shout out to our fabulous waitress Hope! You are so personable girl

The food was delicious; the service was awesome. A hidden gem in Alsip, IL. We came back to order more food the next day. Delicious!!

Our party of 10 had a reservation so we were seated immediately for breakfast. I started with a Bloody Mary which had tons of green olives, not too spicy. I ordered the saganaki skillet, a dish of potatoes, onions, tomato, spinich, egg, and saganaki cheese. It was quite tasty and filling. Our server was full of sass and fun, checking on us regularly.

I've been to Country House several times while visiting my sisters and cousins in the south suburbs and always had a good experience. I usually order their "Biscuits & Gravy", the best ever. As a rule, most restaurants have a plain white gravy with bits of breakfast sausage but not at Country House they put a sausage patty on top of the biscuit the eggs come next and then they put a generous amount of gravy on top. They even have bits in the gravy in addition to the sausage patty. Somehow I missed the delicious home fries that come with it. Good coffee and service in a nice family atmosphere.

We hadn't been there for a number of years but it made a great Easter day brunch. Prices have gone way up but hey, that's everywhere. Portions were super enormous and the service very responsive. Used to go here with my Mom and it was a nice memorial to her after visiting the cemetery. Our out-of-town guest was flabbergasted at the astounding array of choices on the menu! If you love gravy they bring it! Great coffee.

The lunch/dinner menu is a little less expansive than I had hoped, with fairly limited options.. that being said, I had the french onion soup which was pretty awesome, as well as chicken lettuce wraps which were decent - not my favorite, but seemed fresh and a good option for healthier eaters. I remember there was an intriguing 'small plates' menu that was being featured at the check in desk - some things such as an avocado crab toast caught my eye. However, I did not receive that menu when ordering in the bar area.. something to maybe ask about next time! Breakfast was about what you'd expect for a buffet (apparently there's a way you can get a coupon for free breakfast, but I didn't have one, so mine cost $14.95 without tip). Buffet options included scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, yogurts, fresh fruit. They also had an omelette station, which was a highlight for sure. TLDR - probably wouldn't return just to eat unless I was staying at the hotel, but also not a terrible option for anyone who's staying overnight/for a few nights and doesn't want to leave the hotel to eat.

The place was pretty busy and people were having a good time. The dinner was setup for family style which started off with bread and soup, salad, mashed potatoes, veggies then the main courses. We weren't sure if our son who has allergies was able to eat the food so we asked the server. The soup, bread was a no. The salad yes, but not the dressing. They did give him vinegar and oil. The chicken and beef we weren't sure so we ordered him a steak and mushrooms with a baked potato. The server was very helpful with helping us with our questions. When the food started coming out, a new server gave him the soup and the server that helped us warned us that he couldn't have it and I truly appreciated that. They come out with soup in a metal bucket and they ladle the soup into our bowls. The soup was ok but it was cold and the pasta noodles were mushy. The salad was good and the ranch was homemade and was tasty, I wish it was a little more thicker. The mashed potatoes were just ok and were cold as well. The veggies were not good, cold and could use some seasoning. The bread was the star for me. It was nice and crisp on the outside and has melted butter. I wanted to eat it all but I'm trying to cut down on carbs. The pasta had sausage and chunks of the sausage went into the sauce, the chicken and London broils looked good. Overall, the service was good. The bread and salad was good. The soup could have been better is hot and firmer pasta. Mashed potatoes had potential but it was just ok, pass on the veggies. And the meat appeared like it was good. My son's steak was cooked as desired and said it was good but the sautéed mushrooms were missing and we didn't really bother to ask for them. Being with family was great and that's what mattered at the end of the day. But if we were ever to come back, family style is an easy pass.

My fiance and I went here for our anniversary and to be honest, I'd 100% come back!…read more To start, we were seated right away which was great and it didn't take long for our waitress to come over. She was pretty nice and very knowledgeable about the food menu as well as the drink menu. For my meal, I did enjoy the bone in ribeye steak with a baked potato with the added shrimp! You can add 4 large shrimp for an extra charge and it was worth it. The shrimp tasted like it was cooked on a grill and had that smokey flavoring to it. My steak was also cooked perfectly and was jam packed with flavor. It literally melted in your mouth! The potato was also good; their butter made it 10X better. I'm not sure what kind of butter they use but it was really good on that and on the bread they serve at the beginning. My fiance had 2lbs of king crab legs and while they were very expensive for only 2lbs (we get it - market price but this was A LOT), they did taste like they had been frozen for awhile. We were not impressed with them at all and he 100% regretted getting them, especially for that price. We were very disappointed in those. If we do come back, we will definitely stick to steak or maybe another fish. What made this visit so awesome was that our waitress gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house to celebrate our anniversary, which we thought was so kind! They even put a heart around it! We honestly had a great experience here and I loved that the restaurant wasn't jam packed and it just felt very intimate and cozy.

Had a bad experience here…read more First, the food was really good. I had the chicken and mashed potatoes (because the steaks were incredibly expensive). The service was particularly bad. There was only one table seated when I got there and the hostess said to take my pick. I picked a seat on the wall and she informed me that it was reserved (the only table in the entire restaurant apparently). My server was very slow, even with 3 tables. Despite stating several things clearly, she would do things that weren't in alignment with what we were talking about. For instance I said I was interested in the chocolate cake for desert... I asked if they had that and said she wasn't sure. Then at the end of my meal I asked again and she went to check for like 12 mins and came back and said they are out. A good server would have checked earlier. This is just a tiny example of the dozen things she didn't do well. Also the pricing is REALLY expensive in my opinion and they add on an extra management fee (I think it is like 3% and optional and you can look like a jerk to ask them to remove it). This fee is to help keep their already expensive prices down. I think it is tacky to slip this on the bill without telling you. This place used to be better as Louies Chop House. It had a warmth to it and great food and better prices. I know meats are expensive these days, so maybe they should consider something like a sirloin on the menu that is more affordable. The fact that the place was empty (except the bar) basically is a clear sign that whatever they are doing isn't working.
