I love going to this IHOP! The waitstaff are amazing, they all seem to like what they are doing too! I have not been in an IHOP since I was a kid! Just love the pancakes and the waffles! I spoke to a very nice happy woman who was working the front of the restaurant, I told her that I remembered more syrups on the tables, she smiled and told me I was right, She said they still had boysenberry syrup- but you have to ask for it! We ended up here after stopping at another restaurant and being treated so badly that we walked out prior to completing our order. ( lets just say a hot dog place in ormond , wasn't our cup of tea ) none the less walking into this location was a fresh of breath air. We were immediately greeted with a smile and seated. While looking over our menu, our waitress came over and took our drink order, and let us know that the 3 of us who ordered tea would have a few minutes wait due to making a fresh brew. This wasn't a problem at all; this way we knew it was fresh anyhow. Our waitress came over and spoke with us asking where were from and so on, making small talk after our order, even though she had a 3 top and a 4 top seated near us. She made it a point to speak every one of her customers. Our food came out in a short amount of time and every single one of us enjoyed our meals. Food was good and service was ok. My husband ordered the blue cheese and bacon steak and substituted the broccoli with fries. But his fries didn't come out until after we were done with our food. And we had to keep asking/requesting for our refill for the drink. I don't know if our server was just slow or we had too high expectations. Glad I'm just a tourist. A friend and I recently stopped in for a late breakfast while vacationing in Daytona Beach. They were pretty busy, but we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant smelled wonderful ... very pleasing aroma coming from the kitchen area. Our waiter was delightful and friendly and the other staff appeared to be the same as we watched them interact with customers and each other. We walked over to IHOP and placed our order. No surprise the restaurant was packed. However a woman named Jess took our order and was so kind and patient. Been to both IHOP's in Daytona Beach and adore both! The service is always fast and friendly, since we're regulars, they always say "Hey, welcome back!" or just a wonderful greeting. They always give never-ending coffee and sodas as long as your seated (very nice!). Love their food - Such a filling, delicious breakfast restaurant! Love going there for a big yummy brunch before enjoying the attractions. Best of all, they cater EXACTLY to my special diet so I can have a wonderful dining experience. Crystal was our waitress. And while she was nice the restaurant was dirty with food and trash on the floor but she was always sitting in a booty with her friends instead of making good use of her time. The place was dead and instead of making sure each person seated had a nice clean table and chair she sat. That made us sad. We were delivered black bacon because it was so burnt and was so greasy you couldn't see the meat on it. The coffee was like warm. I'd pass on this place next time. read more

Help me spread the word about the deceptive practice of the IHOP in Daytona Beach Shores. We planned a family breakfast...and just to be cautious, I called yesterday to ensure that the Kids Eat Free included breakfast. I was told "yes" until 10:00. When we got our bill, they had not deleted the kids meals. We asked for a correction & was told it was for dinner only. I pointed out that I called the day before & their sign does not say p.m. We were told that "someone" must have stolen the letters. If they did, they stole them on both sides of the sign, & re-aligned the lettering to make it centered on the sign. I have a picture of the sign. I guess I wouldn't be as upset, if I had not called the day before to confirm. This is very wrong & I would like to make others aware of this restaurant's practices. Thank you. read more
