Two stars might be a little generous but the wait staff was very nice and polite. Me and my boyfriend were coming back from Santa Fe heading to Arizona and wanted to catch dinner before shoving off on the road. Once we sat down, we were informed that they only had traditional coke and Pepsi as sodas, which we just ordered water and a tea. We both decided what we wanted to order to find out that a majority of their ingredients were not in stock. They didn't have lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, fried chicken, and steak. This is just what I can remember and these were pretty much everything we wanted to order. Unless you wanted only pancakes, they didn't have it. The young waitresses were nice, but we decided to leave to go somewhere else. In my opinion, if this amount of ingredients weren't available, close until you can provide full service dining or put a sign up on the door that says "only serving pancakes" read more

There was a family of 4 ordering their food when we got there--no one else in the place, around 5:30 pm on a Saturday. We ordered 2 breakfasts and waited...and waited...and waited...and waited. The waitress never came near us again. After about half an hour, when she finished serving the others, my husband flagged her down (even though she never even glanced toward us. She then claimed they had no pancake batter. Why didn't she say that when we ordered? We got up and left. Customer service everywhere is terrible, but this was the icing on the cake. What a JOKE. We waited over 2 hours for part of our food, and nearly 3 hours to get the rest -- and even that wasn't right. At least we had time to memorize the menu and question our life choices. Worst ihop I've ever set foot in. Had to ask server for every little thing, such as silverware. Server hid in back, sending someone else to tell us that they were out of hash browns. Went 15 minutes with an empty cup of coffee and not a single server on the floor. Ended up leaving without eating and going down to dennys where they seemed to value my business. Went for breakfast with family for my daughters bday it was a couple of us. Waitress was friendly. They were out of ham for 3 of our orders. My sister in law ordered some sort of grill cheese sandwich when she opened it there was a hair in her food. We all kinda got grossed out and couldn't finish our food. My buddy and I walked in, as the host walked up, but instead of seating us first, he cashed out a part of 6 or 7, with individual checks. Wait about 10 min. Got our water quickly, but that was it. We waited for at least 10 minutes just to have someone come take our order. A salad, breakfast dish, and two milkshakes. The milkshakes came out quickly, but werent all that cold. We then sat for 30 min for our meals. We ended up walking out. Talked to the manager on our way out. She was not apologetic, but did comp the two milkshakes. I will not be back. read more

Although New Mexico has reopened in location dining there aren't a lot of places doing it yet in this town, including Wendy's and Arby's. So we stopped in here and were pleased to see they were doing a limited sit down. The waitress was very pleasant and the food was fresh and fast. I'm Kevin, I live here in Deming. I don't have a clue why these people are bashing our local IHOP. I come for breakfast every Tuesday, with a group of motorcyclists. Our IHOP isn't closed, they do have a problem with workers not wanting to work after the pandemic and they got free money from the government. But the pancakes are good, the poblano omelette it darn tasty, and coffee never tastes stale. Sometimes the supply chain does run out, but that's due to the pandemic, not IHOP. The staff has been wonderful. When in Deming, stop by the IHOP on Pine, near Walmart. read more

Do not eat at this IHop. We stopped for breakfast from a road trip going back to San Diego and waited for more than an hour before we finally decided to leave. We waited for more than 20 minutes for our coffee when we arrived. The cooks were arguing with each other in the kitchen. This is not a good place to eat. read more

Surprised by this location! We were traveling thru NM on Christmas & needed food. IHOP was the ONLY thing open. I usually don't patron IHOP, to be honest but there was nothing else open & we were starving. We were gladly surprised! Our food came out fast, fresh & hot. The service was great & the facilities were VERY clean. I peeked inside the kitchen too, it was SPOTLESS. It's hard to screw up pancakes & hashbrowns but it can be muddled with poor quality service or dirty establishment. Neither of those was the case here & we enjoyed our food & service thoroughly. This might be the worst IHOP I have ever been to arrive at 7:45. My order was taken at 8:05. My food was forgotten at 8:32. Only for the waiter to come back and tell me that they were a little busy at the back of the kitchen when I was there fifth customer there, and the other three were already eating. It's Christmas 2021 in Deming. Knowing some businesses would be closed, I called Ihop at 3:30 pm to see if their hours were adjusted. The lady on the phone told me they would probably close around 8 pm because the place had been dead all day. We arrived at 5pm and found the restraunt closed. A staff member told m e that they were waiting for a reservation at 5pm, but the party hadn't showed up and that the Ihop would be closed unless we wanted "something simple". Two other customers were turned away while we were there. Went straight to Denny's which was about half full. As empty nesters, we usually eat at Ihop in Deming on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Was really counting on a nice dinner from Ihop. oh well. read more

Came here specifically so my wife could get gluten-free pancakes. A few minutes later, we're told they're out of glutin-free. She can't eat glutin, so asked for hash browns to get the carbs she took insulin for. They "upcharged" her a buck and a half to switch to potatoes because they can't provide what she ordered. Very disappointed. Will not return or recommend. We were seated immediately and waited a few minutes for our waitress. I ordered decaf coffee and a water. My husband ordered a Doctor Pepper and we ordered our breakfast. It took sometime for our drinks. She forgot my water. Never saw her again until our breakfast came. When she brought my breakfast, I ordered a split decision so it came with a bit of everything. Again I requested for water and more decaf coffee she stated she had to brew some. My pancakes were cold, the butter never melted on them. And it wasn't cold butter. The French toast was cold and so was my bacon which was precooked. The eggs were warm and so was the sausage. She came back after we ate the breakfast with the bill. I stated "I'm sure the coffee is brewed by now". She returned with some and we ended paying the bill and leaving. This has to be hands down the best IHOP I've been in in a very long time. The food was fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly. My bacon and waffle were cooked crispy but not burned as they usually are when I order them crispy. The waitstaff was friendly and the wait time was at a minimum. The staff was even friendly to each other. The building is clean and well-kept. I don't know why they have such a low rating! Yes, it's a chain, but I haven't been to an IHOP that nice in a long time. read more

This restaurant was clean, however service was lackluster. We came for kids eat free from 4-10 pm. The server didn't seem to know which sides came with kids meals, seemed a little overwhelmed with our party although the restaurant was hardly full of patrons. Everyone's food came out fine except for mine. I ordered the "fundue" with 5 silver dollar pancakes, strawberries, bananas, and Nutella. I got maybe 4 thin slices of banana and 3 strawberries that were borderline ready for the trash. I was bummed. When our check was brought to us we were told that only one child qualified for a free meal and mine didn't count. That was the whole point of us eating here, which the staff knew. I just don't feel like this waitstaff really cared about their job, just trying to get through the shift. If good service is your thing, pick another restaurant in Deming. read more

ZERO STAR ...The worst place to go.we was traveling thur hoping for the best pancakes ever it been like 10 years send we had IHOP the worst part no waiter to greet us. then rude waitress come outta the kitchen then run back to the kitchen then another waitress took the order. It took over 45 minutes to make strawberries banana French Toast and plain pancakes with eggs and bacon and they forgot our drink orange juice and milk. So far so good. Cops hanging out here so I feel safe. Our server Kia has been very nice. Checked on us a couple of times now. Alrighty.. We've been sitting for 30 minutes now. It's just my boyfriend and I. We ordered 2 pancakes each with eggs and sausage..there's only one other couple here and they haven't ordered yet.. What's taking so long??? Lost one star.. They just came and asked my boyfriend if a different flavor of pancake was okay.. That means they haven't even started them. WOW. Just WOW. Lost another star. We asked our waitress where the food was and we heard her go to back and started correcting the cook with our orders.. She came out with the manager and the the manager discounted our food and explained to us that the cook wasn't following the ticket. My pancakes were supposed to be blueberry but came out plain with 9 blueberries on top. My boyfriend asked for egg whites and had regular eggs with the yolk in them. He asked for turkey bacon and got regular bacon.. But we were so hungry, we didn't care. The waitress informed us that she took another co-worker to a different job so that's why our food didn't come out. Her co-workers didn't help her out while she was helping someone else. What a shame. Seems to me this place needs a better cook. read more

My husband & I went to this IHOP since it was the only place we found close to the motel. We had a long drive & wanted something quick to eat. We went in around midnight, there were a couple people there already. We ordered to go, the wait wasn't too long (hence the two star rating). When we got our order, we had no plastic utensils, or a plastic bag to carry the food in. I ordered a sandwich and it did not taste very good, the fries tasted old & over seasoned. My husband ordered crepes with raspberries, the crepes were plain with just raspberry jam on top. Nothing like it looked on the menu. The waiter seemed like he had better things to do. I got shorted 46 cents on my change (not a big deal). I'm too nice of a person to speak up. Maybe that's on my part, but still not acceptable. Stopped here on Thursday morning after visiting the doctor. Had a number of new people working there and believe it or not after ordering my hot tea came cold ! Between the 2 of us nothing was correct for our orders , since we normally visit here often , we know just how bad our last experience was there. I really like the ambiance here, they have excellent food and choices specially for kids meal, and I love the servers we had. Excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had Anthony and Oscar as our servers, they gave us excellent service and was very accommodating in answering our answers and requests specially since we have a toddler with us eating. Would definitely ask these two (whoever is available) to be my servers the next time. Would definitely come back here for more. read more

To begin, iHop is not the place you go for fine food, just good fast food. Many are pretty good. This iHop opened in Deming a couple of years ago and it was terrible, really terrible, but new management arrived lately and things got better. So we decided to give em another try, and to entice us iHop offered a 2 for one promotion, lesser priced dinner free, must order two drinks. Ok, so we ordered two T-Bone steak dinners with two drinks. But a few minutes after we ordered our server returned to tell us "we don't have any steaks". You judge for yourself. I'm not sure I'll give them another chance. How hard is it to stock what you sell? read more
