Our kids live IHOP and this one is truly amongst the best in the nation. As one who has traveled 50,000 miles around the US, I have been to many IHOPs, and this one rates THE BEST. Why? From fresh squeezed orange juice to whole grain bread, REAL Nutella on crepes and REAL eggs and hash browns, we appreciated the CLEAN food and courteous staff. Truly as good as it gets! I've been to the East Windsor IHOP location 3 times now over the last several years for breakfast. Every experience has yielded good food and decent service. The pancakes are always good and the eggs prepared well. The value for breakfast here is much better than other surrounding brunch places. I don't frequent IHOP often, but with rising prices and if looking for a satisfying breakfast, IHOP fits that bill. read more

We stopped here on an evening for dinner. The service was very slow despite there being one other group of guests. The restaurant was very unclean. The bathrooms were horrific. There were ants crawling around the syrup bottles. The food honestly made us all sick. Never again will we come back or give this place another chance. Had a 2nd fantastic experiance at IHOP in East Windsor/Monroe, NJ! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the sausage was full of flavor. Service was terrible. I had to ask the hostess to either sit us in another section or send a server over. Food was average, eggs were not cooked to how I had requested. Finally got to this location since it changed over from a diner. Nice atmosphere, we went here for breakfast. The food was decent the service was a bit slow for basically an empty restaurant. In a word Nasty. Turnpike exit gas, probably expensive. Only restaurant with $7 glass of juice, the same. Mostly empty except for occasional retirees and lost travelers. We would go once a week since Covid for that 'big dinner out'. No more. The last draw was being ignored for 10 minutes while the gen-z staff (hostess included) joked and giggled in the booth by the toilets at the old geezers as the only customer (79 year old ) left the place. There's not a more maddening and uneven chain than IHOP. Oh, the food is slightly better than average but the service at The International House Of Poltergeists can either go bump in the night or simply be nonexistent. And please don't play the pandemic card with me, IHOP has always run on fumes when it comes to the basics of customer service. I love their pancakes but they should just hand every guest a spray bottle of Windex and a few paper towels and let them clean their own table. I don't mind... really! And when it comes to paying the check, I'll keep a running tally in my head and leave the honor system cash on the counter when I depart. No need to wake anyone. Ordered breakfast to-go from here. I ordered an egg-white omelette with bacon, American cheese, and hashbrowns with side of pancakes. They got it right, EXCEPT: they put broccoli in the omelette. What the actual F? What illiterate imbecile read this ticket and saw the word broccoli typed somewhere on it? I hate broccoli and I had to rip apart the omelette to pull out the pound of broccoli that was added to it. I wanted to give this ihop another try. Bad bad idea. This Ihop needs to train their servers better. Some are amazing, some should be fired. Three ridiculous up charges that our server did today: 1. We ordered a poblano omelette, requesting to switch beef to chicken - they charged and addition $5 for that, server did not mention when he took the order. 2. The omelette comes with 3 pancakes - we asked to switch to French toast. He said it would come with 1 French toast, any. Additional would be an up charge. I said okay. He charged a full $10.99 for that additional 1 french toast. I'm okay to pay the additional, but he should have gotten us the whole plate then!! 3. All up-charges added - total came to $65. So he charged an additional 18% gratuity. I left ihop with a very sour taste today, just because of the server. Tall hispanic guy. First off I was already aggravated from my GPS giving me directions to an IHOP that didn't exist, so had to turn around and search for the correct location. While I'm glad for any places open during 'Covid', I think they may have anticipated it being way busier than it was because when I walked in there were literally like 10 employees standing around,I thought I walked into a company meeting or high school cafeteria! We've been to good IHOPs, we've been to bad IHOPs. This is one of the good ones. We were heading north on the NJ Turnpike, looking for a place that wasn't an overcrowded, overpriced, understaffed rest area. We decided to get off at a random exit, where we were sure we'd find a place to eat. After an unfortunate choice of which way to turn, we ended up here. The food was standard IHOP, which I like and Pat tolerates. But the service was quick and friendly, exactly what we needed. We left happy and will certainly be back. One tip: when you come out of the exit, all the hotel signs point to the left. You might assume that the restaurants are in that direction too. You would assume wrong. Go right. read more

I've been going to this IHOP since they opened. The service in the beginning was just ok but has gotten much better. They had a help wanted sign in the door about working in the restaurant with a typo. Being in advertising I redesigned it and gave it to the manager with a letter to speak with the owners about helping them. They did use the sign and it seemed it helped because service is better. Slow service even though there were hardly any customers in this place. Pancakes tasted okay but we're only about 5" in diameter. They supply packets of "breakfast syrup" instead of the various flavored syrups available at other locations. Spinach mushroom omelette made my wife run to the bathroom. The hollandaise sauce tasted sour. Waited a while to get a coffee refill - but they were really quick with bringing the check to the table. This new Ihop is so nice inside, super clean and feels spacious. I've dined in twice and food was hot and exactly as ordered. Coffee was hot and not burnt. No wait both times which was nice. They do seem to be out of things at times though. Both times they didn't have something we originally ordered. Menus are QR code's which was great! We did order take out once from here and the entire meal was cold and we only live down the road. I Can't fully blame them as it could have been the delivery service. It's a nice location. Went thereon Thursday, 10/29/20 and was very disappointed. the server could not understand me after I gave my order 3X. she has to bring over another server for verification. I ordered the 55 + 2x2x2. The food came in 1 plate. Pancakes, eggs, sausage & bacon. It was no-good. PERKINS in East Windsor gives you a much better plate and its less money...IHOP won't see us for a long time. read more

My wife and I were looking forward to going to a new IHOP in East Windsor, our first Breakfest since the pandemic. We decided to go during the week as it would not be busy. I use to work at IHOP cooking, clearing tables and washing dishes. The IHOP in East Windsor was the most disgusting, the bathrooms were not clean, spiders walked on the window sill which also had used napkins. Went to this new IHOP in East Windsor, NJ Stay away. The pancakes were tough to cut into and the butter was very greasy. My girl friend had scrambled eggs with hash brown potatoes and whole wheat toast. The hash browns were like a brick. You couldn't cut into them. The eggs were cooked in grease and oily. The toast was crap. Their coffee was horrible. No taste and very weak. They play music very loud in the morning and play a lot of Spanish music. Not what I want to hear at 8 AM!!! We went here for Mother's Day and gave ourselves an hour as we had to be somewhere after. The place was busy but we got a table without waiting. However the food took over 45 minutes and we had to eventually get a manager on the order status. We then had to shovel the food into our faces to leave on time. They seemed to be taking a lot of online orders too in addition to those waiting inside for their food. But restaurants have had a hard time and it's not as simple as assuming they should limit their orders on a high demand brunch day. Ordered twice from this restaurant and both time they forgot my cream for my crepes. Tried ordering today and was going to ask for extra cream so it wouldn't be forgotten, but the rude worker who answered the phone just lost my business which is a shame because I was excited for this location to be so close to me. I had not even ordered my order yet and the worker had a serious attitude problem with me. I asked to place an order for pickup and she asked for my name and I told her 'Kelsie' she then with an attitude asked me to spell it and I did and then she asked if I wanted a beverage and when I answered no, she had a rude way of saying 'mmhhmmm'. I hung up. I do not want someone who is this rude to me other the phone putting my food order together. Really upset and will be letting everyone I know not to come to this location because of how rude the workers are to paying customers! read more

The IHOP is insanely bad and they're not new anymore so no excuses. Poor service or none at all, food is cold and staff is oblivious.
