Came here on a Sunday at 1pm and was able to get a table for two right away. The food was good but the coffee was lukewarm. The staff was super busy so we waited a long time for everything. Not unheard of for a weekend, I'm sure. Overall a good time.

Came to the Skillet yesterday after a beautiful morning in Asbury Park , glad we opted to eat here ! We were seated immediately upon arrival (party of 4 at 11:15 on a Saturday!) and ordered a variety of menu options. Loved the variety of the menu , there was truly something for everyone's taste ! The Lemon Orange ricotta pancake was phenomenal and I love that they offer a single pancake (plain or specialty!) as a side so you can have your sweet treat post meal - more places should do this! The Fried rice under the coconut shrimp wasn't cooked super well; this was probably the most disappointing menu item. Their iced coffee can also be ordered to go; I had a black iced coffee so not much to review but the coffee itself was tasty! Loved the decor of the restaurant but it was very noisy and chaotic. Need something to absorb the noise to make for a much nicer experience. Overall definitely would return, especially if eating outside on a warmer day!

Came here on a Sunday for brunch around 1pm. Seemed like peak time . No reservations . Waited about 30 mins for a table of 2 They have many options for coffee drinks and specialties . It's a BYOB in case you wanted to have mimosas Lots of options on the menu I tried the farm skillet which was good but I couldn't eat the whole thing Friend had the chicken and waffles . She likes this place . Full disclosure- My appetite was off since I lost my dog a few days ago . But I would come back sometime to try something else

Best breakfast in the area. Really nice on the inside and staff is incredible and super attentive. We loved the breakfast burrito and really recommend the french toast. Their freshly squeezed orange juice was also fantastic!

Ferrero rocher nutella pancakes. Would've been nice to have Ferrer rocher there was no hazelnuts lol

Few pros and cons: - parking on weekends can be tough in this lot - the wait will be at least 30 minutes on a "holiday" or day off - when it's packed the servers will miss some things, for example - not getting some of the order correct. - not baby friendly, they don't allow strollers or carriages because of the limited space they have. Food: - veggie omelette was delish, veggies in every bite and all my favorites! Asparagus, spinach, broccoli and zucchini. I asked for whole wheat toast and they have half of piece of white bread? lol all good. The potatoes are delish! - banana foster French toast, a must get!! These are def a sweet treat and make for a good sweet side for a savory meal to share. - sweet potato skillet, the potato's were hard and the dish all in all was kind of bland. - avocado toast was good! So happy they season their potatoes with more than just salt and pepper - coffee flight was great! Extra .75 per drink for alternative milk $18.95 for the 4 drinks. - Ferrero rocher Nutella pancakes were a miss, I'd pass. There should be a Ferrero rocher on top or something. There was no hazelnuts or anything. Very below mid pancakes. They should just be called Nutella pancakes lol.

I was out of town and my friend brought me here and I was not let down. Is it weird that you can tell if the food is going to be by the quality of their fruit salad? I don't think so. It was very clearly not fruit cocktail from a can but good fruit. The hot apple cider was so delicious as well as the whipped ricotta and prosciutto toast. My mouth is watering as I am typing. The restaurant was packed for a Monday and we still were seated within a few minutes. It was lovely inside and very clean. The waitress was very friendly and even though the restaurant was loaded I didn't feel rushed to order and leave.

This was such a fun spot that our friends took us to! They have a big variety of breakfast and lunch items to choose from and it is definitely hard to choose! Not to mention they have a separate specials menu. The offer coffee flights which was tempting but I settled for one of their specials, the butter cookie latte and man it was fantastic! The BLT was exactly what I wanted and the truffle fries were the perfect thing to go with it. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodative! We got to sit outside cause it was such a beautiful day so I unfortunately didn't get to see the inside but it sounded packed!

Unfortunately, I feel The Skillet is kinda mid. Like many eateries of this generation, many try to seek clout by having Instagrammable items, and what I find is quality goes down as a result. Like one of their selling points is their coffee flight... but their coffee products are just slightly better than okay. Cold brew? Not strong. Now their food? I know the draw are the skillets... like duh, that's the name of the place. Yet we've always opted for the pancakes and French toast, because of course the Instagram clout makes good pics. So far we've had the cannoli pancakes, funfetti pancakes, cinnamon roll pancakes and the strawberry cheesecake French toast. They're all very pretty... but gave us several agita. Maybe I'm too old? Always a wait. Even on weekdays.

Our second visit, because first ome was so good The outdoor seating is wonderful casual, with live singer , no less. Inside is bustling with energy too We had bistro choice 4 iced lattes and each one was super rich, delicious and sugar high Breakfast egg rolls are giant and yummy Meat lovers omelet comes with hash,, apple pork sausage and bread- highly recommend I had noodles with stir fried veggies and honey glazed grilled chicken. It was good, not great! Word of caution: portions are HUGE, a mecca for big eaters !! Loved it, will definitely come back again and again The servers are the politest, sweetest we've met ever!!

2 Eggs any way

My server and all the servers were amazing and have great attitudes. My coffee was watered down by the time I received it but it was super busy so I can understand that. Food was 10/10 so good and filling. I do feel like the coffee is overpriced for what you're getting .

The food is amazing, so many options. The staff is so kind. We even waited about 20 minutes for a table and in that time we were given free samples of their cinnamon buns. It was SO good we ended up ordering a plate.

This seems to be the hot spot for brunch. We arrived around 11 AM on a Saturday and only needed a table for two. We were placed on the waitlist and thankfully only had to wait about 10 minutes. The restaurant is very rustic barn with a modern twist style. It is a very open floor plan, with that being said, it is very loud in here. With no walls or structures to block the noise everyone's conversations are just super loud. I decided on the main street skillet as well as the Nutella Espresso Latte. I was super happy that my latte came in a large glass considering the price was $8.50. I loved my latte, it had the right blend of nutella to espresso. As for my skillet, it mostly consisted of potatoes. I feel like there wasn't an ample amount of spinach or mushrooms. Plus only half a slice of toast, not even a full one. I was a bit disappointed considering the majority of my dish was potatoes but everything was seasoned well. My husband got the salted caramel waffles with a side of hot honey & bacon. He loved his dish but wasn't really a fan of his white chocolate latte. He thought my nutella one was better LOL We may return again to try some new things.

This was an excellent restaurant. We came here on a Monday around 11:30am and it was very busy. A party of eight; we were seated almost immediately but noticed that many of the tables were occupied. Four children under 12 ordered from the kids menu. The cheeseburger was nicely sized and the chicken tenders and fries were a hit. The adults ordered a variety of skillets and eggs Benedict. I ordered the smoked Lox Benedict and it was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hollandaise was excellent, and the pickled onions and capers were a nice contrast to the richness of everything else on the plate. Their regular coffee is also pretty good. We did not order any speciality juices or drinks, but those looked tempting too. The interior looks clean and fresh and the restrooms were very clean and modern. Our server was very friendly and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we were taken care of. A very excellent, breakfast/brunch spot.

Walking in felt like going to a carnival--bright, lively, and full of energy. I initially expected a simple diner, but I quickly realized it's much more; there are so many menu options that it was actually a bit overwhelming in the best way. My daughter ordered an iced vanilla latte along with a California omelette, which came with breakfast potatoes. I had a regular coffee and a croissant sandwich with bacon, ham, and cheese. They also have a great kids' menu. My granddaughter had a blueberry pancake with scrambled eggs on the side, and she absolutely loved it. The service was fantastic--our server was very attentive throughout our visit. The ambiance was also perfect for a mid-Friday morning: lively but still comfortable. Overall, a great first visit, and I can see why my daughter enjoys coming here so often.

Definitely not 90 mins.. My daughter just had to have Brownstone. The worst part of the wait was their system. They do not notify you by text or restaurant pager. They come to the door and yell out a name. If you miss hearing your name or they mispronounced your name, they pass you by. That's crazy considering the amount of names they get and the house doesn't pronounce it correctly The food: All of our order was VERY good. Only complaint. My skirt steak was cooked well, not medium well. But it was not over cooked. Was still tender and delicious. If you can't tell by all the photos. We took a lot of food home. The waitress was really attentive. But it looked like all the staff was attentive. Not over bearing at all. Super busy place. And they only take 1st come, 1st call. But make a waiting list as it gets crowded. The seating was a little tight. And that was throughout the place. Nice menu selections. So we'll be back to try few other items. Clean restrooms which are a plus for me. DEFINITELY would recommend this place.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

When I walked into the restaurant, there were 6 people standing ahead of us at the hostess stand. Tables were emptying out but no one even acknowledged our existence for - no exaggeration- 15 minutes. We made conversation with the people around us that it was almost comical that no one even said they'd be with us in a moment. It was odd and we almost left and walked to The Buttered Biscuit down the street, but we stuck it out. Once we were seated we were given a tiny placard to scan the menu with our phones. Service after being seated was surprisingly consistent after our long wait time to be seated with no acknowledgment from staff. I have a gluten allergy and the online menu did not have specific information showing what was GF or GFA. When I asked the sever about it she rattled off some GF options but of course I couldn't remember all of them, having them marked on the menu would be so helpful. I ordered the Birria Omelette but chose to have the tortilla strips on the side since they were in a shared fryer. The dressing for the side salad was light and tangy. The omelette was supposed to be French style but wasn't creamy in the middle. Birria meat was tender and kind of overwhelmed the overall taste of the omelette. I also had an iced decaf mocha latte and it was good, not too sweet and pretty much coffee flavored chocolate milk. My dining companion had the classic French toast, which looked delicious and he really enjoyed it but I didn't taste it because "gluten." Ambiance is really nice, tables are well spaced and the restaurant is well decorated. Not sure if I'll be back but glad I tried it!
