Visited 28 Dec.'18. Service was good, after a considerable wait to get seated. Had four Mexican style pancakes and coffee. $12.00. Coffee was good. Soggy, stick-to-your mouth, not hot pancakes on a cold plate. And the waitress gave a perfunctory, "Watch hot plate" Ha. Frozen Pillsbury pancakes are better! My review was recently deleted by the company. Therefore I am restating my opinion of the staff and the my personal experience. I've heard some claims about the General Manager of the Goldsboro iHop being a creep (sleeping with his employees). Being around him made be uncomfortable at times and very bothered. Overall, the food is average. The waiter, Gary, was surprisingly very kind and helpful. Would not go back due to GM, but wish the best for the friendly waiters. Please iHop and Yelp, this review needs to be public. Do not delete it again. Maybe the local newspaper needs a front page article instead. read more

Worst IHOP I have ever eaten at. My order was all wrong when I was served and they brought one thing at a time, I was finished with my eggs by the time my pancake showed up! Never refilled our drinks and overall wasn't very accommodating! I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this ihop for breakfast! The food also made me sick. read more

This place is great. Not sure why all the bad reviews. It's always really busy, but a wait of 15m is not so bad. Have never had to wait longer. Waiters are generally pretty nice and food is fast. French Toast is pretty hard to mess up, never had a bad plate. Husband gets chicken fried steak, always says its good. Will go back. read more

Much better since they fired those people that continued to take advantage of their fellow co workers. Food at this location has improved as well. Mrs Susan is the best and sweet as could be. Happy to see that the staff are in better spirits and more confident in the leadership that is now in place. read more

Waited our turn only to be shown to a table at the end of the row of tables, right in the main path. I was bumped into several times by wait staff and patrons in the 3 to 5 minutes we were at the table. I had asked the gentleman, using that term lightly because I don't think gentleman should lie to perfect strangers, that we would rather have a booth and we could see 2 empty waiting to be cleaned. He told us booths were reserved for parties of four or more, we had three. That was obviously A lie we could see several booths with only 2 to 3 people in them. We ordered but after being repeatedly bumped into I asked a female manager if we could move to one of the open booths, while she was checking 3 people were sat in one of them. The manager who took our name came to the table and I asked if we could have the other empty booth. He said no because someone had requested a booth. Newsflash that is what I had done three times to three different managers. They were seating a couple in another booth as we left after cancelling our order with the manager, who didn't do anything to make us happy. Guess IHOP don't need my money. Well you probably won't like the money of any of my friends on Facebook or people who will read my Yelp and Tripadvisor ratings either. read more

Deeeelicious, everything was cooked just perfect and our hustling wait staff got us our food piping hot. Love IHOP in goldsboro.

Perfect lunch here... Huge BLT, hot fries, glass never got empty. Hubby loved his perfectly cooked, tender steak tips, eggs and pancakes.

Went for breakfast Friday, [3/22/2013] about 10:30am. Bad mistake. My friend and I were seated quickly but the hostess was certainly less than friendly. The place was about two-thirds filled and it was obvious that there was a shortage of waitresses. Waitress finally came in about 10 minutes. It took about 25 minutes to get our food. My friend's omelet was as cold as ice. I had ordered a double-order of bacon and it was half-burnt, half-raw, and I would have hated to have seen how small a regular order was. I had ordered my eggs "soft-scrambled" and recieved them "hard-cooked" and barely- warm. Asked for maple syrup-not available. Used some kinda old fashioned syrup, not good. Sent the omelet back and waited 15 more minutes for that, manager sent word via the waitress that the omelet would be free but it did not get marked-off of the ticket-had to wait 10 more minutes for that at the cashier's station. My family and I have been here multiple times but we won't be going back after our last experience. We arrived at the restaurant on a Sunday and waited about 5 minutes to be seated. It then took 20 minutes (we timed it) before we even saw our waitress who finally took our order. 15 minutes later our drinks finally show up. 45 minutes later our food comes out. My food was cold by the time it hit the table. My husbands drink was empty for more than 20 minutes during that time despite trying to get our waitresses attention. To their credit the manager did comp our meal but we won't be going back. read more

Every year my wife recieves a $25 gift certificate for IHOP. This has been tradition for the last 20 years we have been married. On 09/30/14 we went to the Ihop in Goldsboro for her birthday dinner and the food was cold, considering the 30 minutes it took to get it I wasn't really surprised. After eating the bill was brought to us and it was $25.03. The waitress returned (faster than she had to wait on us), and told us that the "Gift Card Machine" was broken and didn't know when it would be fixed. I went to to pocket and payed cash and told her that if the card could not be used the money should be refunded for it. She explained that had I taken the time to read the back I would have known that it has no monetary value. Useless card, money waisted, a 20 year tradition that will now be broken. I can't say all IHoPs are bad but this one blows. If you're in Goldsboro, try BOJANGLES or THE LANTERN INN, anywhere but here. read more
