#56/2024 Still an excellent IHOP Located in the TA travel Center 24 hours as of the 18th of December 2024 That much to say too much about really it's like any other IHOP it's full service got the same rotating menu. I came in wanted dinner they limited some of the dinner menu though but I found a fisherman's platter Which is basically two pieces of battered fish and five shrimp and your choice of a side. They use haddock. Attic is a really good white fish one thing surprised me has more of a sweet taste unlike a Alaskan pollock. And the nice thing is it pairs really well when you batter it and fry it gives it a really nice taste. Kind of like that old classic English pub style And I had the fries. The five shrimp were very good I lucked out they came out so no more shrimp until tomorrow till the truck comes I got the last order hey hey! And I had Diet Pepsi. Servers were very cordial. Friendly and outgoing still a good solid IHOP. Definitely above average. Hence the four stars read more

I came to this IHOP late in the evening. I'm a veteran with ptsd, and I wanted to be seated away from people. Apparently, store policy does not let that happen. I don't see any reasonable reason where I sit. It should matter to the staff. What matters greek me to me to stay away from people as much, is that possible. With management like this, I would stay away from this establishment. read more

We got seated pretty fast upon entering andour waitress tracy came to ask our drinks. She gave is a very welcoming feeling and was quick and efficient without being rude or anything like that. She brought a smile to me and my Nana face with her kindness and humor. She then took our food order within the next few minutes (we already knew what we wanted so we deeply appreciated this). Drinks come out first, and then about 5-10 minutes later our sampler plate appetizer comes out, I genuinely expected the wait to be longer from experiences at other restraints, but it wasn't long practically at all. We drive a bit to get here and often like what we get there. Twice now my wife ordered the fruit salad and they had run out of the fruit. Now if that happened once in a blue moon then hey that can happen. But, we asked why and the waitress said we always run out by the end of the week. That tells me it's an ordering problem. We were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. Then it all went downhill from there. Loud wait staff, bantering back and forth about what the term assault meant? I was a little worried they were going to get into a fight! Someone else was loudly talking about getting a mean text from another girl. The staff was just loud and crude. The waiter took our order (someone else brought us our food), checked on us once then brought the bill. The restaurant wasn't that busy either. The food was a bit greasy so we didn't eat very much of it. Unless you're starving to death and need gas, I wouldn't waste my money here. To bad because everyone loves IHOP. read more

We went to iHop last night 7/12/22. Took 15 min to order drinks, another 15 to get drinks and then another 25 min to order dinner. Dinner took almost 40 min to be delivered to table, all the while we sat in a dining room that was 62 degrees and blowing on us the whole time. A/C blower never turned off. We had a 2 & 5 yr old with us. We were all freezing. I bought a throw blanked from the TA Gas station store attached to iHOP to help with the coldness. The manager had no key to unlock the thermostat. The food was ok. Not great. The "Rich & Creamy" mac & cheese was Kraft mac & cheese. Looked nothing like the photos. And hard to eat it fast enough with the a/c blowing on it. The staff was nice but did not seem to grasp the temperature issue. You never know what you might find at a truck stop but this TA IHOP was great. We stopped here rather than fight the crowds on a Saturday night on the way through Pigeon Forge. Very clean and updated. Food was better than I remember having from an IHOP. I had the turkey club and substituted the bacon with turkey bacon on grilled sourdough with fries. The turkey was white meat turkey, not lunch meat. Everything was hot and fresh. The truck stop bathrooms were nice and clean too. I highly recommend. read more

The staff at this location have always been incredibly patient, helpful, clean, and friendly. My family and I much prefer this location to the one in Johnson City. Even during Covid, their curbside pick up was easy and the food was well placed in the containers. They also kept their tables spaced to protect their customers. We will be back. We love it. The waitress here are very friendly and helpful. Steak tips was a really good choice but I have tried lots of meals here and haven't been disappointed yet. The cream crepes topped with peaches make for a good meal or dessert which ever way you prefer they are great. May I add that the more helpful these employees are to the elderly (hard hearing, ect. ) the better your company looks, as this should be 1st training rule Be Helpful ! The food has always been good every time I have ate there and the waitress have always been excellent. However, the employees are treated poorly by management. This is the main reason they cannot keep those good employees. They need to stop taking temperatures of customers as they come in the door. This is a ridiculous practice that does not prevent anyone from contracting Covid or any other virus. Should have known from the start of our visit that this was going to be bad when our waitress brought us the wrong drinks; it's okay because we ended up helping ourselves to what we asked for.
