Another late night run for food. Went to IHOP and ordered breakfast. There were a lot of people and 2 waitresses. They did a fabulous job of trying to get everyone's food in a timely manner. The kitchen kept messing up and the customers were extremely rude to the waitresses. The amazing part is we didnt see the manager until we asked for items to be removed from our bill because several people never received their food. I recently went in on graveyards. I can't stress how amazing the food is the new cook is amazing. George is on top of his game. Went in on a different time and the food was horrible. I have noticed that since George has began working at IHOP late night the business has picked up I am having to bring headphone while studying now. However, the only disappointment is the clear lack of respect this man is given. He should be given a raise and given all the hours he wants because I am sure I wont be coming in if he isn't there. A waitress by the name of Jaira was so rude to our family. We were a party of five and the refused to let us sit at a half table half booth. One in our party is handicapped and they did not accommodate. The waitress complained about us to another waitress and after 20 minutes, still no one came to take our drink order. Two tables that came in after us were given drinks and gave their orders. It's sad that a family favorite refused to serve our family. Well sad days have arrived for this classica americana venue. My wife and will not be going back any time in the future. My wife and I decided to visit one of our more frequented eaterie on a slightly later time than usual. What started as a fun idea turned horrific. We got into the resturaunt about 7:30ish on friday (the day after Thanksgiving -this year) and it was quiet and slow so it would figure that it would be my favorite situation - in and out. Sorry, didnt happen. After ten minutes elapsed i asked my wife if the idea of coming to this resturaunt was a bad idea. She said maybe a minute more. After twenty minutes and as we were starting to leave, the waitstaff finally decided we had waited and we got placed at a table where the waitstaff had brushed the last customers on to the seat and tried to wipe that up before we sat down. Finally allowed to sit down at the table we were finally asked what we wanted to drink. We gave our order and waited. Ten minutes later they finally brought our coffee which by the taste had been sitting for a very long. We were asked what we wanted to eat so we ordered. After drinking two cups of decaf coffee and chatting our meals arrived. The actual time whiched had passed was an additional 25 minutes and there was only one small order ahead of us at that time. The food for the most part was just warm. I called another waitstaff as the one that had waited on us was busy in the service area. Our pancakes were quite cold and we wanted to get pancakes which were hot. The waitstaff figured we were either on another planet or deaf. And proceeded to tell the cooking staff that we were not very happy with our meal and to make it quick by putting the meal selection in to the microwave oven. When we got our pancakes back from our regular waitstaff, i asked her if our meal selections had been microwaved and the answer was "No." the butter we put on the pancakes never melted so either way it was colder now than it was earlier. Neither my wife or myself could not finish the meal because it was not edible. I asked my wife to pay the check as i was afraid i would have not handled the situation very well. After a short time she returned to the vehicle and we drove away. Having been in the resturaunt business for many years, there are many things that that were done which should have never been executed. 1. Dont make the customer wait on you! 2. Once the customer arrives at your service area make it your job that they are happy and comfortable. 3. Dont forget your customers are in Your area make them feel welcome to your area. 4. When a custom brings something to your attention - dont wait; take care of it! 5. Never assume that the guest cant hear you and how you interact with the cooking staff, like telling the cook how to prepare the returned meal. 6. When at or in the service area - be professional! Guests generally can see whether your filling up a decantur or playing game. Above all. The waitstaff are the direct line of communications in a resturaunt. The result in good communications are good tips. The more you professional you are the better the tips. The customers dont have to give you a tip and will show you just how well youre doing your job by the tip you receive. And yes there are those who will NEVER give a tip but thankfully they are spread very thin. The key is to have people come back because they like your professionalizm, the accommindations, but ruin it and that one person can start a domino effect because customers also like to communicate about their visit to others. This IHOP is the epitome of garbage. Customer service is TERRIBLE, wait time is ridiculous, and food is almost always cold or just unpleasant. Tonight was the last night my family will ever visit this location. The hostess named Amy was disgustingly rude and shook her head with so much attitude when I simply asked her how much longer our wait would be. She even resorted to SCREAMING at me in front of a lobby full of people. If you want to eat somewhere in Hobbs, I recommend the McDonald's down the road before I recommend this IHOP. Terrible service. Went to his Ihop with a couple of friends and we didn't get our food for over an hour. We asked the manager what was going on and she very short with us. We never saw our server after we asked about our food. Manager was the one who delivered our food and as we left, we over heard our server talking about us (said nasty things) to other servers behind the cashier counter. Everyone was just rude to us even at check out. Needless to say, we will not be coming back. :( read more

I live in lubbock but travel to hobbs to gamble. I stopped here because I just wanted a sandwich. I haven't written a review in awhile but this needed a review. I ended up ordering a turkey sandwich. Before I placed my order I asked if the bread is toasted ...which you should be able to pick up on costumers wants. The waitress should've just picked up on that. She didn't which js fine. Second I asked if there were fries, again there wasn't so I opted for onion rings, still fine. I'm not picky.....the sandwich came and I don't know if it was old turkey, thanksgiving turkey, canned turkey, garbage turkey, or all off the above. I wish Yelp did half-stars. IHOP would get 2.5. The good: Open late, food is on par with other IHOP locations, service is sometimes good (when it is good, it's usually very good...but inconsistent). The bad: SLOW, often they lack the staff to use the full restaurant (they will have a long wait, many empty tables, but not enough servers). When the service is bad...it's BAD. Where do I start... So we sat down at our 2 person table ( there where 3 of us btw, 2 adults and a 5yr old child), ordered drinks and about 10 minutes later we received 2 drinks without straws and a coffee pot without a cup or any creamer (awesome right lol). Then 15 minutes later when the waitress appeared and asked if we where ready to order she seemed dumbfounded when we asked for straws, creamer, and a cup for the coffee that was ordered 25 minutes prior.... Then when ordering our food the waitress then said that they didn't have BBQ sauce ( they have disgusting mustard but not bbq ), although she was such a horrible waitress already it's impossible for me to believe her since they have had it every other time I have been to IHOP for the past 15yrs. Food was ok I guess, but we where all extremely thirsty since all our drinks had been empty the entire time that most of it wasn't eaten. I will advise everyone to pass this place, don't go in unless you would like to waste your money, ruin the rest of your day, and have to drive home for condiments and a drink to go with your meal. read more
