Update. We returned at 9:10 AM for breakfast, but it took about five minutes for someone to come up front to seat us ... and the couple who arrived before us. The host apologized, saying there aren't many people there this early and the staff only starts working at 9:00. This time we noticed that several of the back row booths' vinyl seats appeared to have been slashed, to where their yellow stuffing popped through, so we found other undefiled seats (wondering about the slasher). I ordered 2 eggs with bacon and toast from their over 55 menu special, asked our waiter for well-cooked bacon and for the kitchen to please butter my toast (because I don't like having to remove frozen pats of butter from wrappers and then try to spread them on soft toast), but both requests were either ignored or tacitly declined. On our way back to our car, we noticed various forms of garbage strewn on the sidewalk. Our experience last time was so much more positive than today's disappointment. read more

I've had only good experiences at this branch (Compared to the branch that rhymes with Festbury), and the trend continued the other day when I dropped in for a pancake combo. I was seated next to the table where drivers pick up the orders for Uber Eats and Door Dash. It was hard not to notice that the Door Dash bags got picked up quicker than the Uber. I've always liked their food, although in this case the crepes gave me the impression that they were cooked in advance and heated up. Otherwise, the order was totally delicious, and the staff were pleasant and attentive. The two Ihops in my area are about equally close, and this one is the clear winner. read more

I never write 1 star reviews. I can always find something redeeming. Last night at IHOP, I can't say there was anything. Restaurant was poorly staffed. Came close to walking out because no one was in the front. One of the waitresses, who wound up being ours, saw us but didn't say anything. Someone came out of the kitchen with some takeout bags. We were seated right after. Another table was seated after us. A minute or two later, the other tables waiter came and took their orders. A few minutes later, our waitress showed up. I think there were only 2 of them serving. They were both very young and apparently not ready to be alone. We ordered our meals and drinks. Presentation was decent. Food quality was decent or below. I had the new Wonka burger. It was fine but the burger was like one you would get at McDonalds. My daughter said her eggs were runny and she thought the strawberry cheesecake waffles were terrible. I tasted hers. The waffle itself was fine. Not crispy but not terrible. The glob of cream cheese in the middle tasted pretty awful. My son's fish and chips were ok. The fish was fried too long so it had a slight burnt taste. Think we should have stuck with the pancakes. We didn't have any utensils, and there was no one for a few minutes to ask. We finally grabbed the other waiter and a few minutes later he brought he for us. Our waitress came back after 5 minutes and my son asked for a refill. She left without seeing that my glass was empty as well and my daughter hadn't gotten her order of fries. I think they were probably trying. At least, that's why my kids said. read more

I hit up a friend of mine and she suggested we do breakfast at IHOP or too far from where she lives. It is a convenient location and she ate here several times. She did say there were some issues but she comes here any way. With that being said we came here for a late breakfast. We were seated by the first waitress who hesitantly greeted us at the door. She was already at the register before she decided to take us to our table. My friend had to use the restroom before she ordered. While she was there the was me waitress 155/Victora came over to me and asked it I was ready to order while my friend was still in the bathroom. I gave her a look and said "Umm, I'm waiting for my friend to get back". I would think any waitress/waiter would realize that. So we gave our orders in and it seemed like it took forever to get our food. We got our food and requested several things after that. Our waitress came up only once while we were eating. After that I requested boxes for our food. We didn't see the waitress for a good 30 min after that to get our check. There was another waitress who eyed our table and when my friend was going to ask her for our waitress, she already knew and said she'll get her. The other waitress must of told Victoria twice and she never came. She was attending to other tables who didn't have food or needed help at the moment because some of them were not hers. She continued to seat people and she look like she was going to walk on by our table without stopping. I caught her attention and asked for the check. I have went to several different ojos and was never treated like that in any other chain. I don't know if it was the skin complex or if she was special but I felt some type of way from out waitress Victoria. Overall the food was good and we had to take home food because we ordered a lot. The tables are separated by partitions and kept fairly cleaned. However I don't think I would be going to this location again. I would hate to think how they treat the minority workers. I really didn't want to take it here but this is how we felt. Not to mention, when they came out from the back where they cook the food. There was an employee/cook not wearing a mask. This made me a little uncomfortable especially now getting over this pandemic. I would like to think that this and every food chain are taking precautions. read more

Was hesitant to come here as the reviews over the years have not been good. After being seated no one came to our table for at least 10 minutes. Turns out all the tables around us had not been serviced yet due to a table of 12 adults & kids and the rest of the tables were all filled too. Eric finally came over to us and the rest of the time there was great! He was attentive and pleasant. He took our drink and food orders. Brought the drinks right away. The food arrived promptly. The coffee was not as good as we remembered it to be. It could have been stronger. The staff were cleaning the tables right after each left. The only critique we have is that the seats and floors need to be cleaned in between patrons too especially the one with kids. read more

Ordered food to go last month, As I ate into my omelet (which was only suppose to contain cheese, spinach, and mushrooms) I realized I'm chewing on something that clearly wasn't food. It resembled some sort of cloth material, though not exactly, as it was dense and extremely fibrous or even "hairy". First time at this IHOP. Everyone was nice and greeted my husband & I when we walked in. They were practicing social distancing as well as enforcing masks. We came on Sunday around noon, which is a pretty busy day/time usually for IHOP. we put our names down and were told to wait in our car & we'd receive a message when our table was ready. Waited at least 10 mins in the car, and then was told we can come in to be seated. Although it was very busy, our waitress came and checked on us often and always asked if we needed a refill. I always order the breakfast sampler with no Ham, extra bacon, extra sausage and over medium eggs. I was happy to see that the condiments were personal/individuals. Food was really good! read more

I didn't mind the small disagreement that broke out among servers as soon as I got in. I didn't mind the wait to be addressed I didn't mind the other customers that were openly frustrated about a server getting back to them. I did mind my chicken Florentine crepe coming out with more than oil than french fries. My dish with grilled chicken, tomatoes, mushroom, and spinach was dripping oil/butter as if it were overly sauteed. I poured some of the oil in a separate dish there was simply too much of it. This is no fault of the waitress. She did a decent job and was very polite. I had them remake my order. It was brought out in 10-12 minutes and the problem was corrected. Overall I wont come back. This will forever be my go-to IHOP after my experience today. My 2yo son threw up after swallowing his food the wrong way or something and everyone from our waitress to the cleaning staff were so caring and attentive. Bringing us napkins and wipes and a bucket and checking on him after. You don't get compassion like that anymore and I honestly was so amazed by how concerned everyone was. My new favorite IHOP location! I went with 16 of my family members on Sunday for brunch and they went above and beyond for us. I called ahead and spoke to the manager, Kalynda, and she let me know what time to come for such a big group. The table was ready within 5 minutes of us arriving. Since we were such a big group, she assured us that our server, Justin, would have no other tables so we could have his attention. He was so sweet to all of us and constantly checked on us to make sure we were happy. If anything was wrong, he went above and beyond to fix it. The food was great and we had such a great time thanks to Kalynda and Justin. Our experience at a different IHOP location a few weeks ago was absolutely horrible, but this experience made us love IHOP again. We'll definitely be back to this IHOP!!!! read more

This was my very first time at this location and it was incredibly frustrating. I ordered through GrubHub around 5:30 PM and my order wasn't ready until 7PM when it was estimated to be done a little after 6. The hostesses were visibly overworked and stressed, though trying their best to put on a happy face, and I had to witness 2 grown men yell at them and storm out because of the long wait for their take out, leaving without their food. It was incredibly stressful to watch. People coming to dine in were being seated, fed, and leaving within the span of time I was standing there waiting. Finally after an hour of standing by the front, I got my order from a very nice worker right before an UberEats driver was about to blow up at her. As I left, I heard her explain that everyone in the kitchen were new trainees, which is why things were so delayed. I find that unfair and ridiculous, not only to the customers, but to the poor workers. I doubt they're getting paid well to work under these conditions and pressure. I began entering this business on one of their first days after opening. Now that I'm here for a third try, I can see that many of the service issues are starting to abate. The wait on Sunday mid morning was not at all too long and service (including cooking time) was quick and fairly good. As for the food, it's classic IHOP. We all know what to expect from this American original. It will do great business on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekdays for lunch and dinner are not going to be great here. My big suggestion to ownership: try going to 24-hours on the weekend evenings. Folks will definitely pack this place after evenings of frolicking. read more

My friends got the colorado omelette and the spinach and mushroom omelette. The food was typical ihop quality, i felt like my omelette was lacking a little in the steak pieces but it was still delicious especially with some hot sauce and salsa. I got waffles with strawberry, whipped cream, and a disgusting cream cheese icing. got the "New Waffles" with scrambled eggs which came out watery and not very good, has browns that were good, but oily and didn't stick. Listen, it's IHOP. You already know everything is fattening and will cause your blood sugar to shoot through the roof. But you go anyway because hey why not or hey endless pancakes is going on. I'm not a pancake person myself, however, I do come here from time to time to have some sort of egg/combo breakfast meal. The wait on a Sunday at noon was 25 minutes. It actually went faster than that, which was appreciated. Our waitress forgot to bring over a few items and only asked if we needed anything else after a different waitress brought us our food. My 2 combo with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast was okay but had very little flavor. I still ate all of it once I loaded it up with black pepper and ketchup on the eggs. Parking lot is shared with a bunch of other stores (this location is where Bally's used to be) so it can be touch during peak times. The restaurant itself is a bit on the smaller side compared to other IHOPs in the area. No place really to wait except for a bench or 2 so if your wait is over 10 minutes, you may just want to sit in your car. Overall, not a bad location. Could be better but at the end of the day it's a chain breakfast-spot known for their pancakes. read more

Nice facility, albeit a huge waste of space. Frankly, I think the design is terrible. They're paying for SOOOOOO much space, and yet, there are relatively few tables? Why do I care? Because there's a wait all the time. Check out the tunnel in the back near the bathrooms. Hopefully they don't use that place to store illegal pandas or something. It just doesn't make sense to keep that free. They could instead use the space for a small airport. We need an alternative to JFK anyway. Oh yeah, on a more relevant topic. The food was ok. Would have been better if they brought me the black coffee I asked for instead of the pre-made, albeit delicious, high-calorie mess of a drink they actually brought me. Or if they replaced it within ten minutes of my asking AGAIN for the right drink. Overall, the food was okay across the board, nothing great, nothing terrible. It's a nice place. Very spacious. I had a waitress that when my husband ordered his omelet he had a request for how it was to be prepared, the waitress put in the wrong order and argued that my husband asked for something different. "Poor customer service." If you are near this location avoid it. When you have a taste for something such as I did for IHOP and the service sucks, it puts a nasty taste in your mouth before you can enjoy your food. read more

First time at this IHOP on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown NY. Got here around noon on a Saturday...the wait wasn't too bad (about 20 min) considering it's lunch time. From what I've noticed, restaurant is pretty efficient. Once a customer leaves, the table is cleaned and next party seated right away. Always ordered breakfast food and never been at IHOP for dinner. This time they the King Hawaiian breakfast combo special...King Hawaiian French Toast with strawberry and bananas, hash brown, two eggs, bacon and sausages. Our waiter was efficient, came back with our drinks/food quickly and occasionally checked to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely come back to this IHOP location. read more
