Took over 2 hours to give us our food and then found out that it was just sitting there and our server just disappeared for 45 minutes. The food is pretty good. My favorite is pancakes, hash Browns, and country fried steak. The coffee is quite good also. It's cold in here too. My biggest problem is the waitresses. None of them are professional, quiet, or courteous. They're all either obnoxious, incompetent, or just plain make it clear they hate you and their job. We came in at 11o'clock for a late night dinner, we did not get seated for 30 minutes, there were multiple waitresses just sitting around in the back, wasn't very many customers. It took another 30 minutes just for them to take our drink order, and then an hour to get food. The food was absolutely horrible. IHOP - your prices are to high (average breakfast $11,lunch $12 and dinner $14) and the quality and portions do not match ! Our last visit we ordered a burger with fries and a spicy chicken sandwich with onion rings. Both plates came with literally a "few" fries and rings and the sandwiches were beyond basic - our tab ! $30 with a tip - wow/crazy. Interesting enough as we left we noticed a Texas Roadhouse across the street - for curiosity we stopped and looked at their menu to see what we could have gotten - we could have ordered 2 sirloin tip complete dinners for the same $30 tab !! I feel that this restaurant is good at different times of the day. First off, my waitress was very pleasant and I enjoyed her as my waitress. Next came the food....I was hungry and decided to get a hamburger AND pancakes so that was all sorted and I waited. Once I received my food I started to eat it but as soon as I took a bite of the hamburger I could definitely tell it was those nasty frozen patties...Which is fine whatever but I expected better. Mind you I'm ordering this at 2 in the afternoon so who knows. I ordered hash browns with that because I got pancakes but the hash browns themselves were chewy like gum which was unpleasant to say the least. The only thing that really made the whole trip decent was the lemonade ice tea, aka Arnold Palmer, which was really good haha. You walk into a walk-in freezer and they tell you they cannot turn the AC down so if you are one who loves cold weather you will especially enjoy the climate inside this restaurant, and even more if it's hot outside. After months of a strange bathroom smell, the place smelled much cleaner. But tonight Ihop was heated at a toasty 85 degrees. Three little boys all under 12 years old had the run of the place. Literally. Running from the extra seating section to the kitchen past my booth constantly. One missed and landed in my booth. They wrestled each other to the floor and threw booster chairs. They belonged to an employee who did not corral them for 20 minutes. Then the meal. I ordered salad and soup. Simple. Bearing in mind the waitress was a trainee, it took 35 minutes to get my meal, then in stages. They brought out the salad without dressing or soup. They brought out the dressing 5 minutes later. The soup of the day trailed by another 5 minutes. Guess what, it was cold and I sent it back to be reheated. My loaded country potato soup was anything but that. Very thin yellow base with 10 or 12 1/2 inch potato cubes that were either very mushy or hardly cooked and . . . wait for it . . . one single piece of onion with a few bacon-like bits. The soup was not loaded with anything. Plus it was served with the spoon in it and the handle was covered in soup. For $4, I got a cheap condensed canned soup that had next to nothing in it. My salad was sufficient and the greens were fresh this time. I ordered the dressing on the side and was surprised when it came in a cup instead of the Kraft packets that they usually toss on the table. I keep giving this place another chance but I am always disappointed. Strange smells in the past. Not having items on the menu. Staff that is not well trained. Seriously, how hard is it to serve a single meal at one time and hot. An empty coffee pot always left on the table despite the fact I don't order coffee. Long wait times. More than once, I have gotten a discount for problems without asking for it. read more

I asked if I can substitute my fries for a salad & she told me yes but charged me for a side salad anyway. The kids meal do not come with drinks, that's extra. I wish I could give zero stars. Two of us went in at 2:30 in the morning. At that time in the morning you would expect things to be slow enough that service would be decent, right? Nope, totally wrong. We stood at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes while at least 6 servers walked right by us. One told us that someone would be right with us, but that wasn't the case. All the servers seemed to be concerned with laughing with each other back in kitchen, which could be clearly heard up front. When someone did finally pay attention, she sits us right in the middle of several other loud tables. With the restaurant nearly empty, it would have been nice to be seated away from the drunken club-goers, which we clearly were not. We go to IHop quite often, it is never perfect, but normally pretty close; this time however it was a mess, to put it nicely. We ordered our drinks, the server brought two coffees, we ordered one, she then had to ask for the drinks again. So we reordered drinks, she got them all right but forgot my water, I eventually asked a bustboy for a water, he brought it but the glass had lipstick on it. We got our food, pancake felt like a brick, we had to ask for jelly for toast, the fruit that was supposed to be on my daughter's pancake was not there, so we had to ask for that. The two restaurants next door had full parking lots but this one didn't .... Now I know why. We walked in and there is just one table with people at it and no host in sight. We wait for probably 5 minutes as rap music is blaring out of the back. Our waitress finally shows up to seat us and is very friendly. She takes our drink order and promptly bring them out. She then leaves so we can look at our menus and then doesn't return for a very long time. She takes our order and repeats them to us with perfect accuracy then disappears for a very very long time. She finally returns with part of our food. She's missing my wife's pancakes and gives me my order only it looks like they got stingy with the ham. As matter of fact the photo of the meal shows 2 full oval slices of ham. What's on my plate is a half of 1 slice cut into 2. They were literally 2 bite size pieces. I said something to the waitress and she just said sorry it's really just 2- 1/4 of a slice. Then she took forever bring my wife's pancakes out, which was the main course of her meal. I was almost done eating my meal and she was almost done with everything else she had by the time this happened. It doesn't stop there. I was told to pay up front so I go up and proceed to wait. Nobody came to take care of it and I had to go ask if someone could come up so I could pay and one girl looks at somebody else and says "not me I'm off the clock!" What a disappointing meal! I ate at this location many times im my lifetime . But the last fee times i have been the absolute worst experience ever. A few months ago my boyfriend and i had gone in for a late night "dinner" and our order concluded with a stack of pancakes . Mind you it took 45 MINUTES to recieve these . Last time was a couple weeks ago we went with a friend . I ordered biscuits and gravy , on top of waiting 10 minutes for a drink i had an additional 45 minute wait in one biscuit with some gravy. So long the others ate and i ended up taking it to go , this waitress was working her butt off to get us this meal and by the time we left she was in tears . Nothing she did was bad it was the rest of the environment and service , So i decided why not i will give it one last try. Tonight we go in once again and guess what.... another 45 minute wait for biscuits and gravy? The "manager" looked very unprofessional and he was also not so "sorry" about the wait time . Breakfast at 9:00 am on a Monday, the place is empty. It takes 10 minutes for a server. I order rye toast with eggs. Burnt white toast arrives. Waitress never returns for the "check up". I flag her down and explain the problem. More white toast arrives, this time it is barely toasted. I give up on the toast. People in the kitchen area are yelling at each other.
