Just super curious as to how difficult reading a ticket has become in the few years that I haven't worked in a kitchen. Because when the website allows patrons to place an order and select a substitution and there is a specific flavored side selected, why is it difficult time after time to honor the order as it is placed? Just read the ticket. Just SLOW DOWN AND READ THW TICKET. JUST PAY ATTENTION AND READ THE TICKET. Because if it can show up on my e-receipt there is no possible way I can think of that the POS system would properly reflect the order...ON THE TICKET. Stopped for a late night bite and got a show with our dinner. As soon as we walked in there was hollering from the kitchen and a customer complaint being put out by the "manager." While we waited for food, 2 servers were YELLING, fighting, and running to the back to continue said fight. Our entire dinner was full of cussing and crashing sounds from the kitchen. Come the end of our meal, multiple police showed up and walked a server out in handcuffs. The "managers" ran around like chickens with their heads cut off after this server instead of taking care of customers. They handled it completely wrong as far as customer service. Last 3 times I've went have been horrible, from waffles coming out soggy with black specks in them, then remade to be even soggier. To waiting 10 minutes after getting your food for a refill or ketchup so that the food is cold before you can eat it. Then there was tonight, seated 20 minutes before being checked on, waitress said she didn't know we were her table, then told the next table that she had the whole half of the restaurant, then only received one drink refill, and waffle came out cold and dried out 40 minutes after she took our order, then took 15 minutes after we had finished eating and placed plates on edge of table to finally get a bill. When we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately, a few minutes later our drink order was taken. When the drinks arrived our meal order was taken. I only gave them three stars because our last visit here was a second try and it failed. Myself, husband and our son came to eat as this is one of our son's favorite places to eat. He ordered an omelet with the three pancakes and ate the whole thing! My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger, but when it came out there was no bacon. He got our servers attention and she said ; "the bacon is inside the burger. If you'd like, I can bring some bacon out to you." That's all fine and dandy, but she said nothing about charging us several dollars for two strips of bacon. Lastly my omelet is out, (it came the same with my son's and husband's), I too had ordered an omlet but it came with cooked, chopped tomatoes. When I gave our server the order to please leave off the tomatoes as I don't care for them, I was told "no problem." Sure enough, when the food comes out, I notice little red pieces mixed in my omlet. Before she can walk away, I ask "excuse me, but I asked for no tomatoes". She asked me what can she do where I responded, "may I speak to the manager." A woman comes over all bubbly with the how is everything today. This was our second negative experience in a row in as many months. I would strongly urge anyone interested in eating at this establishment to think twice and drive further up the road. Our first unhappy trip was the result of being seated and not even having a drink order taken for almost twenty minutes. We ended up walking out and eating elsewhere. Tonight, (02/08/2019 8 pm) we were greeted, seated, and order taken in a timely matter. However, that is where things took a turn for the worse. It took 20 minutes for the order to come out after hearing what can only be best described as an episode of Hell's Kitchen behind me. My wife, seated where she could see the kitchen debacle, became less and less at ease over that period of time. When the food arrived, despite having ordered the same items, they looked no where near identical and missing ingredients. After speaking to the waitress about the missing items she suggested that they could bring them out on the side. Ingredients that were originally to be cooked in the items ordered. It was then offered to be recooked but my wife was not really eager for that as well since, as previously mentioned, she had full view of the kitchen staff prepping the food in an unsanitary manner. Visited the Massillon location this evening and experienced problems from the minute we walked in. We were never greated and waited over 7 minutes to be seated. If it were busy I would underatand this as I personally am very experienced in the restaurant/service business. When we were seated we were placed at a very small booth that we had a hard time sitting at. Another very kind server asked us if we would like to move and was very helpful. Our waitress (unfortunately did not get her name) was not one bit friendly. I had a very minor complaint about the food when it was served and she shrugged with a sorry and walked away quickly, she then come back with the bill and we had to stop her leaving the table again to ask for refills on our beverages as we were not even half way through our meals. The food portions were a lot smaller from previous trips we had made. The syrup containers were clogged and had a very hard time getting syrup to come out. Needless to say after many visits in the past this will be our last. read more

I have ate there 3 times this last year with poor results each time. The first time eating there the food came out raw, eggs and pancakes alike doe and egg whites running everywhere, so I called corporate who convinced me to give them another chance. Well I did and the food and service was good, a manager was walking around making sure everything was good. I then decided to go again. Well this last time the food was ok but the service awful, we sat at the table for 45 minutes waiting on our check. That is after finishing our meals and boxing them up, I then took my kids outside while my wife and a friend of ours went up front to pay, 30 minutes later I go back inside to see what the holdup is, my wife is about in tears and is recording a manager screaming and insulting everyone. I ask what the problem is and an argumentative manager is blaming the day shift manager instead of trying to fix the problem, I asked if ignorance of the system was the problem and he said "yes, like you" the started screaming to call law enforce the on me because I'm arrogant. I might be but I served for my right to be arrogant confident or however I want to be which isn't a crime. We ended up getting over charged by about 40 dollars when it was all said and done. I will NEVER go here again. My son and I went tonight and waited 10 minutes to get waited on then 45 minutes and still never got our food. I got a horrid fruit cup that was disgusting, peelings still on honeydew and tiny bits and pieces that looked like it was odds and ends of what was cut away to prepare food. People around us were even upset they were waiting so long and orders wrong. Finally after waiting45 minutes for our food, I was brave enough to ask waitress for my check for fruit cup and she said she was coming to tell me what was going on...well when you hear the manager screaming at her help the whole time, you knew what was going on. We were at table 25 and the place wasn't even busy just that little box they put us in. I'd say it was just a bad night but this will be the 3rd time we have had bad service from their kitchen. 3 strikes your out IHOP or IHOB whatever your calling it now. We wont be back. My husband ordered a grilled turkey cranberry melt and I ordered a grilled chicken cob salad. Both were horrible compared to what we have had in the past with them. His sandwich had 4 slabs of un-melted cheese with a TINY piece of turkey and the onion rings were rubbery. My cob salad barely had anything in it except lettuce and was just a typical looking dinner salad. The waitress called the Manager Joe over to us which was uncomfortable to us and he did offer to give us sundaes to go but was at a total loss to what to say. We turned down that offer and left hungry. Being seniors we get the buy one and get the other meal free so he reminded us that as if that would make our experience better and he was doing us a favor. We did not feel as if they really cared what we thought or felt about all this. After we thought and talked about it we decided if they don't care then they just lost two very loyal customers - just by the way this was handled. We do not get out a lot and going out for dinner is a treat - this was not an overall good experience for us. Life is short and we wont be wasting it on a place that do not put their customers first.
