Pros: lots of selection on the menu. Something for everyone! Hash browns were my favorite part of the meal. Server was good, although you could tell he was covering a lot of tables. Cons: coffee wasn't very good, especially given it's $4. This place is always busy, so food takes awhile to come out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is also popular with children and booths are pretty open; it was very noisy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I prefer some of the other breakfast spots in Mississauga but would come here if I wanted something other than pancake and eggs.

$10 breakfast special during the week

I was looking forward to trying iHop locally and not driving to Buffalo! We started off my daughter's birthday by having yummy breakfast at iHop. Initially service was lacking and no background music was playing as there was only one staff working. However, after we placed our orders more staff were working and there was background music so that's why I was able to rate iHop 4 stars. I got the breakfast faves combo (only $10 during the week), my husband got the new avocado and bacon eggs benefit, and the birthday girl got the kids happy face pancake meal. Food came out relatively fast and everything was delicious. The pancakes were nice and fluffy! I'm glad the service improved early on as it made the overall experience better!

The service is not very attentive, we were seated and told to use the qr code for the menu. We picked our items and not one waiter decide to come back to take our order. We had to flag down a waiter, to give in our order. When the food arrive, they weren't even sure if it was for our table, the staff never came back to check if everything was okay. We had to also flag them down to get take out boxes, and again for the bill. The food: the appetizer, we ordered the calamari it had good flavours and were crispy. Slighly more oily but still delicious. The jerk chicken had good flavours and was very tender. The veggie upgrade is NOT worth it and extra $3 for 5 carrots and 3 broccolis. The rib eye steak was okay, the cut is not the best. The hot stone makes the table very hot, the plate holding it was cracked and hazardous imo. Fries in general were tasty and the 3 different sauces were good. In general this place needs to step it up a little, atleast with service since it's the easiest thing to change. The decor can come after..

The vibe of the patio was great and super lively. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even brought out a water bowl for our dog. We got the burrata Fresca appetizer which was really good. For my main I got the truffle mushroom ravioli, it was good but got a bit too salty towards the end. I also tried a slice of the pepperoni which was good as well. I come here all the time for dinner and the food never disappoints. I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation for around 7pm, and they took us to the patio outside. I personally prefer being seated indoors, as it can get either too hot or too cold in the winter, but it is quite nice when the weather cooperates. The tables are also personally on the small side so keep that in mind if you're planning to order many appetizers. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and served us quickly. We ordered beef tacos to start. We usually get the fish tacos (which are some of our favourite tacos in the city) but we wanted to try something new. These tacos were great and the sauces were amazing. We then had the Burrata Fresco. It was our first time having this as well and we were quite pleased with it. The cheese was super creamy and went super well with the bread. Usually, the mains take a while to come, especially if you come on a weekend night (this was Father's day weekend, so it took a bit longer than usual) Finally we got to our mains. He had his usual, the Chimichurri steak sandwich, and I got a fish and chips, which i had never tried before. His steak was great and cooked really well. I've had the steak sandwich before as well and it was super well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Do keep in mind they only serve it with one slice of bread, though you can add an additional slice to make it a real sandwich. My fish and chips were good as well. The fish was thickly battered and was a little on the oily side but it wasn't bad. It went great with the truffle fries I ordered. The slaw was purple cabbage, which I think I prefer to the green cabbage kind. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a free cheesecake on the side with a cool flame sparkler for me and my boyfriend's anniversary. It was quite good and we thought is was quite generous of the restaurant. Overall, Taps is a great all rounder place to get food with your family or friends. They serve great pizzas here as well and I haven't had a dish I was disappointed with yet. It is on the pricier side, but if you have the ability to splurge, this is a great place to do so.

Unfortunately, the experience behind the scenes tells a very different story. The biggest issue isn't the staff as they work hard and do the best they can under difficult circumstances. The real problem is a lack of support from management. The restaurant often appears understaffed, and scheduling doesn't seem to provide employees with the help they need during busy periods. Even more concerning is how management handles abusive patrons. I've witnessed customers become verbally abusive and borderline physically intimidating toward bartenders and servers. From what I've observed, this has contributed to high staff turnover. On more than one occasion, I've seen employees leave in tears while managers were nowhere to be found or appeared to avoid dealing with the situation. The fact that loyal regular customers have had to step in to calm situations and support staff speaks volumes. Employees should never have to rely on patrons to help keep situations under control or to feel safe at work. This business has tremendous potential because of its prime location, but "location, location, location" will only carry it so far. Dear management: it's time to step up. Support your employees, ensure they have adequate staffing, and create a safe, respectful environment for both staff and guests. Your team deserves better, and so do your customers.

It caters more to the sports crowd however, there were some tables off to the side in which were catered to those with smaller children, which was where we were seated. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a kind server, that brought us to our table, and allowed us ample time to choose our menu items. I had settled on the butter chicken with rice and naan, while my son had the mini sliders with fries, my daughter had the kids' mac 'n cheese, and my mother had the fish tacos with nachos. I really enjoyed the butter chicken; the taste was excellent however, there were too many onions. I found that most of the butter chicken dish was overpowered with onions, which I didn't like. However, after scooping the onions away, it tasted great! I loved how the dish included rice and naan, such a great addition, and there was a lot of it as well! My daughter's mac 'n cheese was straight from the box, and was a tad expensive for what was given to her. We found some of the food items to be a bit pricey, especially for the children's menu however, the food was quite delicious, and the service was top-notch! The only issue was the parking, as there are many condos in the area, and finding parking is hard, even early in the morning. I will definitely give this place another try however, I may park at Square One and walk the next time.

I was staying in Mississauga to catch an early morning flight on Friday. I craved Swiss Chalet. This location at Meadowvale Town Centre was a seven-minute drive from the hotel. I place an online order for the following items: - Quarter chicken dinner with a baked potato and butter - Loaded baked potato soup with chicken (cup) - Diet Pepsi (can) - Festive special add-on (Lindt chocolates, scratch-and-win ticket, cranberry sauce, and stuffing) The quarter chicken combo with the drink and soup was $19 using a coupon. I added the festive special because I love stuffing, cranberry sauce, and Lindt chocolates. I got an estimated time when my food would be ready. I waited patiently in my car. When it was time to fetch it, I walked over to the eatery. Swiss Chalet is next door to Jersey Mike's, which I also love. I headed to the former's takeout section. There was a screen showing prepaid takeout orders. My name was on there and it said that my food was cooking. A man called out my name, who was looking at the food in paper bags on an open shelf. My food wasn't cooking. It was ready! He handed me two paper bags with my goodies. I thanked him and headed to my car. I put my precious cargo into my insulated bag and headed to the hotel to check in. Once I was in my room, I had dinner. I have been eyeing the loaded baked potato soup with chicken for a while. It was everything that I had hope for and more! The potato cubes were large, but they fit perfectly in my mouth. It had cheese and a lot of chicken. It was hearty and yummy on a cold evening. My quarter chicken dinner was yummy. I loved how moist and fall-off-the-bone tender the chicken was. My baked potato was so good with the butter. I was happy to go with two potato sides. It came with a roll that I devoured. I dipped everything in the chalet sauce. Roll? Dip. Chicken? Dip. Baked potato cubes? Dip. So good! i love the stuffing and cranberry sauce. I love the festive meal and was glad that I could add on the festive part to my regular quarter chicken meal. I inhaled the Lindt chocolates. The can of Diet Pepsi washed everything down. It was cold and perfect. When I'm in the area, I'd return here for more good eats. This store doesn't have direct access to the mall. I do like the separate entrance that you can go in when the mall is closed for the night. (472)
