My wife was understandably upset, and we stood outside for well over an hour receiving inconsistent and misleading information the entire time. Had we been given honest expectations from the beginning, we could have made other arrangements instead of wasting our evening standing outside with our family. What is even more remarkable is that we finally received a text message at 6:22 p.m. telling us our table was ready. That was literally an hour and a half after the hostess assured us we would be seated by 5:00 p.m. upon our arrival. The issue is not simply that there was a wait -- restaurants get busy. The issue was the repeated inaccurate updates and assurances that turned out to be completely false. After all of this, we ultimately had no choice but to leave without ever being seated.
