I just ate at this IHOP and I am very disappointed. When I ordered my splashberry and chicken quesadilla the waitress came back and told me that they did not have the meat to make the quesadilla and that they did not have the juice to make the splashberry. I should have left then. But I stayed. When the food did arrive it left a lot to be desired. If you absolutely have to eat stop here, but if you can wait to find a better place please do yourself a favor and do so. read more

This restaurant got 1.5 stars, and that is an over statement. Not that clean, 1.5 hours to get our food. Half came at 1+20 and the other half came at 1+30...and it wasn't that busy. A lot of yelling from the kitchen, but no action. Probably our first and last visit. read more

Should have an option of zero stars!!!!! Don't even...............absolutely awful in every way .. Service sucked, food was ok, no napkins or condiments on table and brought coffee and it leaked all over the table and had to ask every time for more.. Place was NASTY, waiters wiped tables off onto the floor (yes really) ice and all.. And we're very unprofessional. They took trash from tables to trash can at the door and left a trail behind them, Didn't really bust the tables? Bathroom was nasty, no soap, no paper towels.. Worst IHOP experience ever! My friend and I came in at 11 pm. We waited and waited and waited to be sat. The server was very unanimated and acted like she hated her life. I asked for a french vanilla coffee and the server said they were out of flavored coffee. Then she tells me that they are out of creamer, and she laughs about it. I ask for red velvet pancakes and she says they are out of cream cheese icing that goes on top. She never brought the check so we went to the cash register. She hands me the check, when me and my friend were on separate checks. I said we are separate and she had the nerve to tell us to get her manager for her. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Food was okay, but I will never be back. I work in a restaurant myself and know if I acted like this girl I would be fired. Wish I remembered her name. My new wife and I ate here the morning after our wedding. We were driving to Panama City Beach and stayed over night in Montgomery. We usually always go to IHOP when we are on a road trip. This has got to be the worst experience we have ever had. The table we were seated at was dirty and sticky. We had to ask that the table be cleaned off. The woman did 2 swirls and walked away. The seat in the both had sugar or salt in and ask that it be whipped off to only to be responded to with a heavy sigh and an aggressive whip down of the booth. Once I was finally able to sit down the seat had a broken spring or something and felt like I was sitting below the table and had to move to the far edge to be comfortable. My wife ordered the $4.99 special of 2 pancake, eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. I tired to order the special of stuffed french toast but was told they were out. The waitress, that acted like she would rather be anywhere else but there taking our order. said she would give me another minute to look at the menu. I decided to get the Belgium waffle only to be told the waffle machine was broken. I settled for the french toast combo. My wife's hashbrowns came out almost burnt as was her pancakes. She was worried to send them back since we seemed to be getting on servers nerves. My french toast in the menu showed 3 pieces but I was only brought 2, my scrambled eggs were runny and not cooked right at all, and my hashbrowns were also way over cooked. I would not recommend having prisoners eat at this place. read more

I'd give it zero if I could. I called five times and the first two times they hung up on me, the third time they answered screaming "No" and hung up and finally the fifth time I got a response. A crew chief answered claiming to be a manager and then passed me off to her actual manager when she couldn't handle my complaint. They claimed they were too busy to do their damn job cause too many people called out and it was guests answering their phones and if I didn't believe them, to drive down and look at how "tow up" (not tore up) their floor was. Seriously??? Everyone has people call out, that doesn't mean you get to be a shitty boss and let hell break loose. Way to lose business. read more

Horrible. We should have eaten else where. We normally enjoy eating at iHop, but not this one. First, the restaurant was out of ALL soups and then we were told they were also out of jr. cheeseburgers. To top it all off, the restrooms were not clean. We won't be back! read more

While the food is on par with any other IHOP around, the service is where this one falls short. The waitress didn't want to be bothered to check up and see how everything was, bring more coffee or the even silverware until I asked. As someone else mentioned, there is a guy in the back yelling nonstop. Where that is appropriate in a restaurant, I don't know. I'll try somewhere else before coming back. read more

I have no idea why my name was here for Montgomery, as I have only reviewed for the IHOP in Prattville. By the way, if you are crazy enough to eat here after the reviews and think you should go to Prattville IHOP- do not bother. They are as bad. Everyone is in the kitchen, but no one is cooking , waiting, or correctly doing much of anything for customers. The staff outnumbered the customers, hardly anyone there at lunchtime. Horrible service by unhappy people, and waiters who are afraid to speak to customers so barely mumble. The kitchen was out of most of the menu. My daughter's omelette looked like someone threw up on the plate. The toast for a three bread layer BLT, that strangely was not a club, seemed leftover from the day before. I felt so sorry for the people I stupidly tipped well as I usually do. But after leaving, (my bad!), I discovered the charge for the meal we did not get. I phoned from home and was put on hold 30 min. Never came back on line. Went in person, the Assist. manager does not know how to do a refund, nor did he care I was on hold with him so long I was there in person instead. He just walked off and said to talk with the manager. The manager was not there. I was supposed to come back. It would cost me more in gas. Well, it took 3 days before I could, and now can not find my receipt. So I am out $13.00 bucks. But I am wiser. Never ever go here if you value your sanity, either Montgomery or Prattville. These people must own these franchises as it must be hemorrhaging money every day. I don't get it. Prattville is very clean and beautiful however. Probably because everyone can not wait to leave, and never comes back. I will say one little hostess listened to me politely, smiled and said she was sorry. This is by far the worst IHOP I have ever been to. We were seated fast, which was the only good thing that happened. We proceeded to wait for 15 minutes with hungry kids for a server to come to our table. They came to every table around us, but never ours. My husband even got up to ask the manager if she could ask our server to stop by. 10 minutes later, we got up and left hungry. We'll never set foot in this IHOP again. The reviews are exactly as described. We tried anyway and were disappointed that this is the service offered at an IHOP. To begin with, the table was not clean (I overlooked that and just asked for extra napkins to clean up). The waitress was kind, but did not let us know that they were all out of veggies for omelettes (tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.). The food arrived prepares incorrectly. Food was cold and we had to return some items for a remake. The restrooms were worse than a roadside run down gas station. Believe the reviews, they are true! read more

Dying of starvation would be less painful than dining in this dump. It is 100 degrees outside but they have no air conditioning. There was only one other table of diners seated and we waited 10 min before we were seated. We waited another 15 min before our drink order was taken. Now we know why the restaurant was empty. Let me start off by saying that the manager on staff 2/19/17@12:12 pm should be FIRED!!. This has got to be the worst Ihop experience I've encountered. The kitchen was filled with staff standing around talking and laughing very loudly while there were customers sitting and receiving absolutely NO SERVICE. Our server took our order (Tamara T.) and when the food arrived a month later, I took a bite of my omelet and it was ice cold and the strawberry's that I ordered for the top of my pancakes were served in take out containers and they were frozen in the center. I sent the omelet back and asked for another. When Tamara returned with the omelet the cook or whomever, used something to cut and shape it so that it would look like a new omelet when in fact they had merely heated the omelet up. It had some red looking sauce where they attempted to smooze it together. I had it removed from our order and at no time did the manager come over to follow-up, and for those at my table that felt brave enough to eat their food...they never received any type of service to find out if they needed anything. When I looked around the restaurant I noticed that multiple parties decided to leave, while some actually gave the manager whats for. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Corporate should be ashamed of themselves because there are tons of bad reviews for this place, but yet it still exists. read more

What a disaster this was. We've been trying breakfast places all around town, most of which have poor service, but this location of IHOP set a new low. They must've been short-handed because everything ran slow. The kitchen was out of many basics (orange juice, fruit, spinach, cream for coffee, tea bags). It took more than 30 minutes after ordering for the waitress to tell me the kitchen was out of spinach for my omelette. No fresh fruit for the side that went with it, so I asked for it to be replaced with the 3 stack pancakes as listed as an omelette sides option. When only two came with it and I requested the third, our waitress told me only two come as a side with the omelette I had chosen. Not at all in keeping with what the menu stated or considering the fact that the normal side option with my order wasn't available. At one point while we waited our entire section of seats was treated to the spectacle of a giant cockroach scaling the wall, which a patron had to kill. Other guests left before their food arrived because they were so disgusted. Our food actually tasted good when it finally arrived, and we did right by our waitress and left a normal tip, but we won't go back and would caution others based on our experience. read more
