We were in Plant city for my brother Jonathan's Dr appointment. Afterwards we decided to stop here. We were not greeted at the front right away as our server was eating. She came up and sat us at a table. I ordered the Split Decision Breakfast, my brother Jonathan ordered the Ham and cheese omelette, my brother Bill ordered the sausage, fried eggs and pancakes, my Mom had the bacon, eggs and pancakes. Our food was good. With exception to the bacon, as it was undercooked and fatty. We asked for it to be crispy. The strangest thing was we were still eating and she asked us to settle up the check. They often seem a little short staffed, but the food is reliably delicious. The mushroom spinach omelette is amazing.

The new cookie butter pancakes were good with Biscoff cookie crumbles. I would've like more crumbles since they were only on the top pancake, the bottom pancake was mostly plain. Hashbrowns were deliciously crispy on top while tender in the middle. If you like crispy bacon, order it extra crisp, I did not and would've like a little more snap. Over easy eggs were made well. Our server was attentive and patient. Casual, diner feel. We were seated close to the kitchen and one employee (not our server) was quite loud in his instructions to the kitchen and servers. This is the Call Roasted Turkey Melt, with pancakes (the sandwich was supposed to have extra avocado, the food became cold, and I still didn't receive my Oreo House-Made Milkshake until my sandwich came out (I ordered it before the sampler platter and sandwich). Our server Walker was very unprofessional and had bad hygiene, he kept "forgetting" about us but was seen talking with other customers. Came here for our traditional no school because of hurricane breakfast and decided to try the new chicken sandwich. It was AMAZING!! You just have to get extra gravy. My kid who is very picky and doesn't like anything. Loved it!! Our waitress was very nice, and very accommodating. The restaurant was not very loud today and the music was the perfect level. So I had the pleasure of eating this Jalapeño kick steak burger and it was a knock out. IHOP have recently been promoting thier burgers and at least this one turned out to be decent tasty burger. Spicy blend of sauteed jalapenos, serrano and onion with hickory smoked bacon, pepper jack, lettuce and tomato. I just added the avocado and man... it came out good. The IHOP place in plant city is your average restaurant. Nothing fancy. The waitress who attend us did a good job. I know its always full in the parking lot. I sure don't know why. Half the menu has changed. Now they offer no soups, I really loved the loaded baked potato soup. They offer buffalo sauce on the chicken strips but no blue cheese dressing. The food taste mediocre at best. Plant City has changed. Back in the day if you served mediocre food the business didn't last long. This is the fifth restaurant that has been where IHOP is now. I hope they bring the food quality up soon. When you drop the amount of food you have to choose from then the small amount you offer should taste very good, not mediocre, especially at the prices they charge. We went at the perfect time! Not too busy and quiet inside. We got breakfast for lunch because why not!? Food was hot and delicious and they even gave me 2 additional pancakes! I was on cloud 9. Not happy with IHOP in plant city. I am vegetarian and was a single for extra hash browns as a substitute for the meat (sausage, bacon) and the manager told me that I would be charged extra for that. That made no sense to me since if I ordered ala carte the meats were $3 and the hash browns were $2. Horrible, worst breakfast around. You can even witness old people being rolled into ambulances this place sucks so bad. I nearly had an accident in my pants on the way home because I got food poison from the bad ricotta they put in my blueberry pancakes. My husband had to send his food back cause it was cold. My son will eat anything and he thought it was gross. My mother in law was not happy at all and she at least got out of paying for my meal. I hate the overpriced crap they call food.
