Tell me what you need to know about a Waffle House. It's WaHo and you're going to go and get it smothered and covered like it's going out of style. Or not. Sometimes you go and they have a protein bowl to try out. Annnnnndddd then you get the covered and smothered again anyway because while the bowl isn't bad, it's not why you went there to begin with. The AM staff was so sweet and efficient, even though they weren't so busy on a Wednesday morning. It was a great stop before heading to the cruise terminal. WaHo is always the way to go. read more

We came here on a Sunday July 2023 about 5:00 p.m.. We needed a place to eat after driving 2 hours because we were going to the Foreigner concert at the amphitheater. Every other restaurant around the amphitheater was packed. So we went over the bridge and found the Waffle House yeah! It was only about six people in there and then our party of 3. We ordered our food and it came pretty quickly everything was hot and fresh and delicious. I had the bacon and steak and cheese sandwich on Texas toast and a side of pickles. My friend had the chicken sandwich and my other friend got a double hamburger. Everything was good. And we spent half the money we would have spent on a meal up the road. So the money I saved I got a Foreigner t-shirt at the concert which was fabulous. . We come to Tampa a lot for concerts so this might be our new spot to eat before the show. Live it up..! read more

I've been to a lot of Waffle House restaurants before but this one is no good! Server couldn't care less! One takes the order for another doesn't write it down, tells the actual server and of course it's wrong. The servers were either on their cell phones or chatting when each other. The person on the grill was the only one actually working. I'd never stop at this location again, horrible! read more

Very loud on a Monday morning, probably because the number of crew members was higher than the number of customers. Two were in training - one cook and one waiter. So it was not as good as experience as I would have liked even for a WH. Fortunately, I wasn't dealing with the trainee so my waitress got my order ("All-star, eggs over medium, city ham, hash browns with cheese, wheat toast dry") easily and she kept the coffee flowing. Plenty of parking as they share the lot with a local motel and there are several truck repair/sale spots nearby. read more

Consistently solid Waffle House with friendly, fast service. Food is fresh and cooked well too. Pecan waffle is always golden brown. Eggs are perfect, never over, never under. Coffee is always hot and poured whenever you need a refill. Waitresses take orders accurately and quickly. Service is as good when it is slow as it is when it is busy. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean and well-kept. Parking is plentiful. Take it from me, this is definitely a better Waffle House than the norm. Most of the poor reviews are from 2015/16, and clearly a lot has changed since then! read more

WH is losing its touch. ThIs is definitely an after party restaurant because you're too drunk too know what crappy over price food it serves. The hamburger patty looked like a burnt chip. 8.20 for the smallest hamburger I've seen in my life and a small serving of hash browns. In other words $4 bucks for the smallest hamburger in the state. $4 bucks for small serving of HB. Definitely going to McD's next time .. The waffle is still a hit tho. Everything else 2 small pork chops with a handful of hash browns To the steak dinner .. the " steak" looked like the one you buy at dollar tree for a buck. No lie !! Lol! So far worst experience at a waffle house EVER. Water was dripping from the ceilings on us. Staff really doesn't seem to care about anything. Food was wrong. Over medium eggs we're severely undercooked. Coffee was cold. My cup was empty for 15 minutes. Instead of asking to refill it...they brought the check. Just terrible. My husband says never again. Ok- i don't know what yelper George K is on, but this place is not that bad. The service can be a bit slow and the service won't win any prizes, but the waffles are awesome! I also enjoy the cardiac enducing reuben sandwich piled high with pastrami. My niece had the grilled cheese and gave it a thumbs up. I would recommend you eat the waffle in the restaurant and not take out because it will get soft by the time you get it home. You'll want to appreciate eating it nice and slightly crispy with warm butter and syrup - i had mine with pecans and whipped cream soooo good! read more

Four people, four cups of tepid coffee. Cold waffle, cold egg, cold grits...lots of employees standing around gossiping. Coffee is not what I remember from Waffle House. Very bitter and served cool didn't help. Won't return and management definitely needs to step it up. read more

Wouldn't go here. Every one works here looks like they are on drugs and just rolled out of bed. I waited 15 mins before I even got offered a drink then the person put their thumb in my food while serving it sense I was alone I had nothing to do but just watch and watching these people work will make you sick gloves or no gloves they touched every thing. They handled the food. I watched one person touch the trash and go back to making food which was absolutely disgusting. This place rocks! Just last year was the first time I tried Gritz for free! The manager was shocked I did not ever try it so he gave me a small bowl with butter! It was solo good! Open 24/7 these cooks work very hard to keep all the late night munchies satisfied! read more

Nice, inexpensive breakfast... Just a bit loud. Servers are attentive. The tables and benches are clean.
