The food was good. The service was good. Didn't have to wait long. The restaurant was clean.

Restaurant is dirty, table was sticky and there were crumbs all over the windowsill next to us. Our waitress looked disheveled and had stains on her shirt. Waited over 20 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant, at which time waitress said "I think your food is ready." She was running around chatting, and had already messed up another person's order we overheard. Then come to find out they hadn't even started making our order. She did not even care when we said that we were going to leave, and none of the other employees acted surprised. Walking into this homey restaurant for some good fresh food. This trip I ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch. Started off with a cheddar potato soup which was hot and a great starter followed by farm fresh eggs and French toast. I highly recommend the French toast for breakfast lovers. read more

The food was excellent however the service left a lot to be desired. Dora was our server and it took 6 and a half minutes to get a refill of water there was absolutely no pre bussing was well. The overall the atmosphere was nice and the cashier Donna was super sweet and friendly! Also i had gotten the honey butter chicken and french toast which even though was pictured to have powdered sugar none came with it. read more

Stopped at the Horace Ave. Location this afternoon. 2 booths away a couple had a white toy poodle in the aisle, apparently "service dog ". We ordered and I went to the restaurant. When I returned, "service dog " was on the TOP of the table eating cut up food! Definitely NOT something a "service dog" is trained ti do! Mentioned this to our server and later to the supervisor, as it certainly is a health hazard! Apparently there isn't anything they can "do" because it's a "service dog" Rubbish! We got one of the family meals and it was more than enough food, 6 bacon biscuits that were double the size from any local fast food, with authentic and higher quality food items. Fast and easy breakfast chain. This was a breakfast of opportunity we yelp-found while heading north on 75. Plenty of parking, but a little difficult to navigate to; down a dead end road. Service was great - food came out quickly and the refills were always there. My wife had the French toast and I had the Border Scramble Omelet. Both were good, not necessarily great. I stopped by to get some fresh banana bread. I was very disappointed when the lady told me that there was one loaf left that was freshly baked, which meant I couldn't get a deal on two loaves for eight dollars and pay the five dollars for one. I proceed to pay for it take to bread home got home it was warm but it was very DRY and not very good. Unlike like the previous loaves I had purchased from Bob Evans in the past....My husband absolutely loves banana bread and he was not very happy with this brick that I brought home we didn't even eat the other half we tossed it in the trash. Let's face it, this is diner food. But there is enough variety for anyone. Their grilled chicken is pretty tasty. And I enjoy their chicken noodle dishes. I think the pot roast dinner is the standout. Banana bread is always delicious and so are the rolls. Obviously the pies are pretty good. My son (who isn't a salad lover) likes the chicken tender salad with the wildfire ranch dressing. I personally feel it tastes a lot like a bagged salad but the dressing is very good. My fiancé works nearby. Twice I bought her lunch there, the first time I thought well maybe this place was having a bad day. The second time, to give you an example, got her a BLT. A Beacon, Lettuce, and Tomato (BLT) sandwich with chicken noodle soup. I stressed strongly that she wants extra crispy beacon. Like nearly burnt. My exact words. There wasn't any lettuce on the BLT. No Mayonnaise on the BLT. The beacon was semi firm at best. The BLT had what she thought was a slice of turkey that she described as being like jerky dry and toughness. Like a slab of dried out leather-like meat. The soup had zero flavor, even after she added a lot of salt. How do you screw up canned soup? The name of the sandwich pretty much explains what to put on the sandwich. Why would one put turkey on a BLT? Needless to say, Cracker Barrel will be getting any future breakfast or lunch business but not Bob Evens. read more

Definitely down hill on food and service. I asked my server why she was so hard to find and she said she was helping out other stations that we're over burdened. She said they had a bus of people she up unexpectedly. Sausage and cheese omelet had a small amount of burnt sausage in a clump on half, no sausage on the other half. Toast was burnt. Coffee cup went empty for 15 mins. I could go on, but you get the idea. I have been coming to this location for many years, and today was my worst experience. First for the record, they close at 9:00pm and not 9:30pm as the internet states. We've passed by this place plenty of times and never stopped to try it until yesterday. We got in about 8:30pm and were greeted and seated quickly. The hostess/cashier told us that Nicole would be our server so we waited patiently for her. About 15-20 minutes passed and no one had come by. I was starting to get irritated and a lady pops out and says, "Oh!" and returns to the back. I usually get the same breakfast, a "Rise and Shine" which includes eggs and hash browns and biscuits and their terrific sausages.Today's meal was a little greasier than usual and was somewhere above warm but not hot when it arrived from the kitchen. I'm not one to send food back though. Service from my waitress was good, but she seemed a little overworked. Dealing with a family member in the hospital with Covid this year and without Bob Evans, we wouldn't have gotten the comfort of Thanksgiving food this year that we so desperately needed. From ordering, to pickup, to instructions, to the meal itself, our Thanksgiving went flawlessly. The food was wonderful, and we were able to doctor some of the recipes to taste like our own without all the effort that goes into making it from scratch. Ordered takeout breakfast, so so so bad! I have eaten at other Bob Evans before and really enjoyed it but this experience was terrible. The only food item that was decent were the pancakes. The sausage patties that came with the pancakes were almost burnt, flat and hard. I ordered a side of hashbrowns and the order was very very small (looked like someone's leftovers). I arrived at my hotel next door (La Quinta) a wee bit early for check in (7 hours early.. lol) but I'll go into that in that review. I felt bad eating the free breakfast when I hadn't checked in yet so I decided to walk next door to Bob Evans. I've never eaten at a Bob Evans so I didn't know what kind of food they served but I quickly found out it's like Cracker Barrel and Denny's had a baby. Like Dennys, you get your check and pay upfront. It also has the same layout. But like Cracker Barrel their food leans to the southern/comfort food style. They even sell candy at the front like Cracker Barell does. When you walk in the server seats you and within no time the waitress is there to take your order. I've got to say she was the friendliest, most enthusiast waitress I've ever had. Our drinks and food came out within no time as well. My boyfriend ordered the Sunrise skillet, which had eggs, homefries, sausage and a bread item (toast, biscuit, pancakes, etc). He liked it. I got the rise and shine with two eggs, homefries, and bacon. Simple but good. What I loved were the biscuits, made fresh daily. My daughter and I had brunch here last week. When we ordered two cups of the "Summer Special" flavor of soup, tomato basil, which they are promoting heavily, the waitress told us there was only one cup of soup available and one of us would have to choose something else. It was 10:30 in the morning....before the lunch rush....and they were already out of the "special" soup? A few minutes later she brought out two cups of soup and said they were "able to find another one." I wish I'd been given the alternate soup I had chosen. I normally like tomato basil soup, but this was just awful. I'm wondering if they threw together a quick batch after we ordered it. To me, it tasted like just-opened canned tomatoes, raw garlic, and fresh basil that was heated to the boil and served. Any tomato-based soup needs to simmer for a long time for the flavors to blend. This was overpoweringly tasting of canned tomatoes -- acrid, bitter, and pretty unpleasant. Oh, and so, so, so salty. I'm not one to send food back, so I added a pack of white sugar to my bowl and stirred and stirred until it was palatable. That really cut the edge of the bitterness off. I also got a loaded baked potato, which was excellent, and my daughter had half of a turkey bacon melt, which she loved. The restaurant has plenty of parking and was clean (restrooms, too) and well-staffed. I'd like to try one of their breakfasts sometime when we're on the road (no locations near where we live in SC.) read more

Great service from the waitresses at Bob Evans I ate the baked fish which was delicious and my drink was decaf coffee with creamer. Overall experience here at this Bob Evans was top notch inside of the restaurant was very clean and up kept. The waitresses are very nice and they loved my Koi fish tattoo on my right shoulder. The drink refill was really fast and our food order took about 10 minutes to prepare and come out to our dinner table. This is my forth time here for dinner and both experiences were great nothing to say that is bad. This Bob Evans does get busy during the morning time breakfast rush since it's next to the interstate, hotel and gasoline store. I know this restaurant has mixed reviews some good and some bad but what other restaurant has great everything about it? Trust me when I say I been to some of the very nicest restaurant's and some wish I never went to eat there all the way from west, central, south and east coast. Hello. We went to the #469 in Tampa. And it was a horrible experience. We had to wait over 1 1/2 hour to get our food. There was on big table and a few small tables if 2 or 4 people. Not packed! There were people going up to fill up or refills of drinks. We ordered eggs, bacon, sausage and French toast. 1 1/2 hours!! Our meal came to us not even hot without French toast. Our waiter who didn't really wait on us said French toast will be right out. Sorry for the wait. We finished our food and waited again! My husband had to go up to the counter to ask about our French toast and my husband brought it back to the table. We have gone several times and had good service. This was horrible. We got up and paid our bull and told the lady behind the counter what happened. She said they didn't tell you there would be a 30 minute wait? No it was and hour and a half!! We paid our tab $31.36! Then I asked for the managers name. I will do a review. That's when she said Xavier do you want to talk to him and maybe he could do something! We said too late. The single tables maybe 3 or 4 with 2 or 4 people were waiting on food. There was No we are sorry from the manager while you wait Here is some banana bread?? It was horrible!
