Normally, we avoid IHOP ... but because we had a long wait for an auto service, we decided to give it a try. It was a busy Sunday morning, but they gave us a nice table very quickly. A pleasant waiter brought good tasting coffee quickly. The menu was far more appetizing than we remembered, and we actually had trouble deciding what to order. My wife started with fresh squeezed orange juice which she liked, and I started with a refreshing blueberry Splash, which was great. We finally decided to split an order of crepes and Eggs Benedict ... and loved them both. We were glad to split the crepes, as the were too sweet for a meal ... but made a great breakfast desert. On the down side, the hash browns were not well done, as requested ... and IHOP still does not make real maple syrup available ... which I would pay extra for. All in all a good experience, so we will probably come back. I was happy to rate this higher than I would have expected. read more

IHOPs are very consistent across their restaurant chain and this one is no different. It was a cold Illinois morning and I needed some pancakes and coffee. I like that IHOP places a pot of coffee on the table so you don't have to bug the waitress for more coffee. I ordered sausage and eggs with all-you-can-eat pancakes. The food was average to good. I like their pancakes and eggs, while the sausage is my least favorite. The hash browns are usually good, but today they were not edible. The coffee was good and hot. I would give three stars based on the food, but because of the good service I upped my score to four stars. Jessica was so friendly and provided great service, so she gets one more star. The food was honestly terrible. I ordered an omelette, and the food quality was not good at all. It really looked like they just threw it together and melted a slice of cheese on top. Stopped here with my dad and sister before heading back home an hour away. I got the 2x2x2 and really liked the option of substituting regular bacon for turkey bacon. My father was happy they had an option for senior citizen discount but it was only about a .50¢ difference in price from the normal price, however he isn't complaining and is appreciative of it. Service was pretty good, the girls were friendly but you could tell they were extremely understaffed and overwhelmed. We received our food in a decent amount of time and it was good and filling. $2.50 for one soft drink is pretty ridiculous though.. we were expecting the bill to be less than what it was but we should have checked the drink prices beforehand so that's our fault. A bachelor party turned Hangover style in Rockford is what found us stranded in BFE, Illinois. 2 or 3 am on a Saturday night walking through miles of grass and then finding our way to this area we see this sparkle of humanity in a bright and shining IHOP sign. Thank goodness an eatery was open and with a dining room. The one place it would take more than an hour before employees were fed up enough and we had to leave. LoL. Actually our tab was pretty high, I'd say for sure the highest of the evening and our wait staff were cool with us. It was probably the random couples on date night that found us most hard to swallow. P.s. Why the fuck would you bring a dressy date here? It was late night at the IHOP. A security guard was at the entry doors keeping the peace within. I think he was an off duty Police officer. For the time of night, it was pretty lively in there. 2 or 3 am. Didn't take long to secure a table. People inside were a mixture of teenagers looking for something to do and older folks on a late date night. I felt like a chaperon on Prom night except with a killer buzz and a trunk filled with beers. I wish they would've allowed us to bring it in. The food all arrived made to order. We were surprised. Maybe one or two mix ups with orders, but for the most part everything was good and we all had a great time together. I ordered a cheeseburger with an egg on top. My review is dated since nowadays IHOP now offers a cheeseburger with fried egg on their menu. At the time, it was an addition to my burger. Placed a curbside order and arrived at the time stated per the receipt. My wife and I received acknowledgement that IHOP knew we were there and that our food would be out shortly. 20 minute wait later and still no food. I decided to go inside to see if it's ready and no one was at the front checkin area for five minutes. Once someone finally arrived they ignored me and helped the person behind me in line... when I finally got the workers attention I asked if my order was ready, she went to the back and grabbed it right away. I checked the receipt and it looked like my order was ready and on time but no one brought it out so it just sat for 25 minutes. The food was cold from the moment I picked it up and had another 15 minute drive home. I definitely suggest if you're going to eat here you sit down and eat. The only bad thing that I will have to say is that I was not very happy when I had to return a mug back because it was not clean. The had dry coffee inside. She told the waiter about it and she just said "okay" and brought out another plate. As if she would be comfortable eating after having a hair in the previous ones. We also mentioned that would like to be big enough for us to have room for the plates. When we arrived, they put us at a table for eight and added a chair.
