First time in this location. Looking for a bite to eat before we go on the highway. Not my choice to go here but it is what it is. Ordered a burger and the lady ordered breakfast. It took so long for the food to come out. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant at the time no idea what took so long the ladies breakfast was sad, the bacon was over cooked and the eggs were dry. The burger I got had the same burnt bacon on tapped and was cooked way longer than a burger should be cooked. Waitress was very nice.

I completely enjoyed my visit. Starting off we had excellent service, our server Samuel made sure everything was perfect for my family and I. Multiple tables came at the same time, it seems like he was the only server working but he killed it!. Food was awesome. Affordable prices. Great music.

To show we were at ihop. Coffee was great!

Our waiter Samuel was excellent. He was also overseeing way too many tables and racing back-and-forth to meet the needs. Requested crispy bacon and I'm not sure what we received. It was scary and we opted not to eat it. They did bring back crispy bacon as requested- the same, no taste and questionable on how fresh. The blueberry pancakes were nothing extraordinary . We are not from the area and we're excited to be able to find an IHOP but we would not go back. The ambience was one of understaffing, overstressed limited waiters, which understandably is an issue wherever you go, but there was not a relaxed feeling in the restaurant which made everything feel uncomfortable.. I wouldn't want my grandson to work there .

Just walk out of ihop after 15 minutes on the front desk no one shows no even a waitress to the tables...

Being here a few time always is something, but today after 15 minutes on the front desk and no even a waitress come to the tables I have to leave... Very disappointed place

We had decided since there are a few restaurants here that we were going to have dinner here first. We got greeted right away by the hostess who was busy but acknowledge us & told us "I'll be right with you." (5 stars for this action) which she did. We got seated right away (great job!) This is a small restaurant with a bar inside. It has a nice, classy decor. It was clean & organizer nicely. We were greeted right away by our server Ryan (5 stars) & we shortly placed our drink order. I got a Truly on draft (a favorite of mine), Tammy got an espresso martini that she said was really good (she ended up having a 2nd, me too) & Janet got a Tito's and soda. Drinks came out quickly (kuddos) We placed our food order. I went with the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and everything was delicious, so delicious that I cleared my plate which is a rare occasion for me because I'm a picky eater & I don't usually finish all of my meals (5 stars for this dish). The girls got the steak tips and they looked horrible. They looked burnt on the outside & not appetizing @ all. Tammy's was way over cooked & too hard to eat so she informed Ryan of this & he offered to have new ones made but she didn't want to wait & was fine eating what came with it. Janet liked her's & didn't' have the same issue. I thought they both looked the same. Burnt, over cooked & not appealing @ all. Janet was jealous of my fried chicken sandwich & wished she had gotten that instead. Ryan was an excellent server & did everything right. (I was a waitress in my 20's). 5 stars for his service & personality. They don't have a bathroom in here but they have a short cut to the one outside of the restaurant. On our way out Tammy & I saw their salt & pepper shakers and found them to be gorgeous. I actually snapped a picture of them & did a Google search & found them on Amazon & already own a pair...thank you! I will defiantly be back here probably for the fried chicken sandwich again. I really wanted a side of Mac & Cheese (they have it as a meal) but unfortunately they don't do sides of it.....bummer! So maybe next trip I will try it. Thanks for a great dinning experience (for myself) & a delicious, just right dinner!

Our drink orders were taken right away but after the drink orders service was a little slow. The waitress explained they were short staffed. I take no stars off for this. Short staff is a common issue including my place of business. Our waitress was very friendly and really good with the children in our party. I really liked the variety on the menu. There were affordable options with some higher priced dinners. There was an option for everyone in our party. I had the stuffed haddock covered with a seafood stew. I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to seafood stuffing so I was a little hesitant to try it but OH BOY am I glad I did. The stuffing and stew were amazing! No leftovers for me. The rest of our party had various options off the menu and all of us were please with our meals. I highly recommend The Old Salt. A nice ambience. Friendly service. Great food. We'll be back on our next Hampton Beach vacation.

I crunched on at least five of them. It's very disconcerting. The latest trend in New Hampshire lately is charging you to use your credit card well, I use my credit card all the time and I'm not gonna pay you extra for any inconvenience. That's ridiculous. What an incentive !wont be back to your place. I don't carry cash so you won't see me there . you are the loser now somebody somewhere will take my credit card and not charge me extra as I already pay finance charge. I don't need an extra charge from you. Thanks though. Good luck. not bad overall .

This casual family owned and operated restaurant cafe serves up breakfast all day and lunch. The place was redone with a brighter and an inviting atmosphere with booths along the walls and in front, table seating in the center and counter seating in the dining area. There are patriotic prints on the walls and checkered floors remain. I've picked up Lebanese and Italian food from the previous restaurant in this space and it's bittersweet seeing a small town breakfast and lunch spot open up in its place. There are a few other options in this area, but spread out. I decided to stop by here for breakfast before work. I got here just before 6:30 and sat myself in a booth which had menus to look at. The breakfast menu offerings include breakfast platters, 3 egg omelettes, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast burritos, Tony The Tiger (frosted flakes French toast), hash (canned and homemade (soon)) and breakfast sides. The lunch menu offerings include fried appetizers, hand cut fries, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soup, chili, salads, comfort dishes, and daily specials. The prices seem fair, most meals $8 to $15 range (in 2024). After I was seated, the server came over and offered a drink and I requested an ice water since I already had coffee beforehand. They did not have homemade hash yet, so I eventually decided to go with the Steak Bomb Omelette ($13.50 plus tax) with choice of toast (I chose sourdough) and one side (I got home fries). My food was served in about 8 minutes after ordering. There was a good amount of hot food on my plate. The omelette was filled with grilled shaved steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese (I chose cheddar) with a folded thin egg sheet. This omelette was pretty good. The home fries were fresh cut potatoes (cube cut) lightly grilled and seasoned, which were potatoey and with the skins. The sour dough toast was firm and had minimal butter. The server dropped off the check as I was almost done eating, no rush. The check was $14.65 with tax and before tip. Overall, this is a good place stop for food and I plan to stop by for lunch next time since I saw they had chicken tenders, reubens, monte cristos, mac & cheese, and spaghetti & meatballs (Wednesdays). The friendly staff knew people by name as they stopped in for breakfast. The service for weekday breakfast was prompt and I was able to make to work on time. It is noted they are closed on Sundays (at the time of this posting).

The nacho appetizer was disappointing as the pulled pork on top was lukewarm and there was hardly cheese/toppings under the top layer. My BLT and fiancés burger were both good. Fries perfectly crispy. This is probably one of the better (if not the best) place to have a meal at Hampton Beach.
