I was incredibly disappointed. I've been to five guys in seabrook nh and Peabody ma and neither location is as bad as this one. The burger and friend were both soggy as if they were trying to re sell an old order as a newer one. And the fries were burnt The management was incredibly rude. And the rest room was very dirty. Stopped in for a burger and fries. Was much more expensive than Wendy's or any other fast food, and even more expensive than other burger places. It was good. Reaaaaaly greasy though. Lots of options for toppings. Fries were good, but not overly exciting. They have coke machines with the 100+ options. Didn't get one, but I like they had options. I could get ketchup packets or a cup. The plastic cups are small though...why so much plastic? This was ok. Good once or twice a year. The best "fast food" burger out there and probably just the best fries anywhere. Fries: perfectly cooked fresh cut fries that don't get soggy and squishy after 10 minutes in the bag. And yes, your fries will probably sit in the bag for more than 10 minutes because they give you SO MANY FRIES! We ordered a regular and a little and got enough fries for at least 4 people to literally pig out on and probably still have leftovers. Burgers: the right about of crumble and juiciness is all I can say. Oh, and the bun is delicious. I want to say it almost seems doughy, but in a good, soft but sturdy kind of way. Shakes: all the mix-ins you want for FREE! Can't go wrong. Tried a malted milk and salted caramel shake and it was perfect. Only downside was that we ordered our burgers without mushrooms and both came with mushrooms. The receipt and tag on the bag even said "no mushrooms", but we still got them. I'm on my second day of food poisoning after eating here yesterday at 5pm. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

I ordered online for the Portsmouth location and yet when I got there, they told me that there wasn't an online order. I even showed her the receipt on my phone. I work at a law office, so it was really important that I get back with the lunch as we had clients with appointments coming up. so I reordered. Paid for it AGAIN. Called the number to register my concerns and asked for a refund on the first order. That was on Tuesday, June 11, 2024....still have not seen a refund on my credit card. I called to see if they had curbside, which they do. The person who answered the phone was very nice, helpful and offered to take our order or can place order online. We were not ready to order, yet. We opted to order online. Just follow the prompts. All of the prompts, which go beyond placing your order. All of the prompts made my order, curbside pickup, timing, etc., incredibly pleasant to a point that I was surprised. The entire process was very easy, made to make sure we have our food as fresh as possible and receive it as quick as possible. It's the best system I have experienced during this pandemic. Please remember to add a tip. All of the tips go to the staff. They work very hard and working hard during a pandemic. Be kind and generous. The fries are great! Nothing needed to be added. No salt, ketchup, nothing. The burgers were bigger than expected. While I'm sure the burgers are better to eat as soon as they are ready versus waiting until we got home like all takeout from all restaurants, they were very good and very filling. I couldn't finish my burger! While it's convenient to drive into the parking lot, it's not so convenient to drive out when you have to drive the opposite direction. So, be careful. It's best to drive out by the Market Basket (take right), turn left onto the next road and turn around to head back to the light to take a left onto Lafayette Road. Obviously, this inconvenience is not the restaurant's fault. By the way, the ordering process and the food is definitely worth the exit inconvenience. read more

It's a perfectly pleasant burger, fries, and shake. Staff pays close attention to what's specified for the burger toppings. (I have had undergrads assigned to do literary criticism put less energy into poring over a text.) Try to go before you hit the hangry stage, as the enterprise moves along at the pace of handcrafting your burger, and if they're backed up on delivery orders, you may be waiting a while. They're doing their best on maintaining social distancing for customers in a space not originally intended for it. If you generally adore Five Guys, you'll be happy here. read more

So this Five Guys has been reliably good. I would say a consistent 4 stars, but we went there for dinner tonight and we weren't treated very well. I have hearing loss disability, and it's a real struggle to hear people. With the masks, it's impossible to read lips. With the music up loud and plexiglass separating me from the guy taking my order, it's just almost impossible for me to hear anything being said. When I leaned around the plexiglass and into the cash register, some guy came up and told me to move away from his cashier. What am I supposed to do? Nobody thinks about the hearing impaired. Something needs to change. This encounter was very upsetting. read more

1- No soap in the soap dispenser in the bathroom I thought-then realized it was actually broken. Other bathroom was locked for the half hour I was here because someone "must have been in it." Two customers brought it up during my time there to the staff. Maybe someone should check it out? 2) Waited over 15 minutes for a single cheeseburger with no toppings and small fry, only one other customer in the establishment. 3) The above didn't include that the woman at the front went out back when I was in the vestibule, as the other kept her head down and cooked. 4) This is my first time at a Five Guys-but I find it really inconvenient that trays are not offered for customers eating in. They just hand you a paper bag. Makes the restaurant messier as well for clean up I'm sure-the floors were covered in fries at 3PM. Counted 4 employees out back chatting it up. However no one was cleaning. 5) The fries were overflowing and more were in the bottom of the bag than in paper cup they give you as a holder. Best Five guys burger I've had in a long time, I consider myself a burger expert and RARELY get fast food, but this was great, the meat isn't heavy and dry like your standard drive thru. and the curbside delivery is executed very well, they recognized my car from my order when I pulled in, brought it out in my bucket contact free, and even told me (by name) to have a great night. Now I know my name is on the receipt, but being on a name to name basis is a great way to make someone feel welcome, and not feel like another burger order. Four stars only because I can't get myself to ever rate chain fast food places as five stars. However, considering they're fast food, I love these guys. This particular franchise is friendly, accurate, and as prompt as Five Guys ever is (meaning slower than your run of the mill Burger King or McDonalds, but still very reasonable). My first Five Guys experience went really well. The burgers are cooked to order, so you have to wait a few minutes. The fries are really good. They're way better than standard fast food fries and they obviously came from real potatoes. The interior is about as nice as any fast food place, and by the end of the lunchtime rush, the floor is ready for a really good sweeping. The people working at Five Guys are friendlier than I expected and the woman picking up the dining room asked me if everything was okay, so it's pleasant. For a fast food place, it's above average so I'll give it four stars. But I have to say that I like homemade burgers better and doubt if I'd ever be a regular customer, even if I could just walk to a Five Guys. It's also chaotic when it's busy, more so than typical fast food. I'd go here before I'd go to BK or McD's, but when I'm looking for burgers in Portsmouth, I'm happier at Lexie's. read more

We love FIVE GUYS! This is bumped down a star for not yelling, "Four at the door!" When we came in and none of the employees looked happy. All serious, heads down. But the food was gggrrreeeaaatt! We all got Bacon Cheeseburgers and 2 large fries for our group of four. Although we came in at prime time, and had a slew of parties ahead of us the service was fast and efficient. When it comes down to chain restaurants I tend to avoid them. For a few reasons Five Guys is on my exception list. Having being an In n Out fan for years I appreciate FG's attempt at recreating that American straight ahead burger joint experience. I'm not sure the employees share the same enthusiasm as In n Out employees, then again I doubt they make as much as them either. There's a nice selection of standard toppings, all free but nothing too exotic. Fresh cut fries help the cause. read more

Yummy yummy yummy!!!. We no longer have to drive to Dover to get lunch at Five Guys. Love their simple, basic menu. A cheeseburger with everything cannot be beat. Fries = fantastic. The cajun ones are just as good. Soda machine = incredible. Where else can I get a Diet Cherry Vanilla Coke?! My toddler was fascinated by the machine, even though he isn't allowed to drink soda. They staff was overly friendly, and it seemed very sincere, not forced or fake. The tables and chairs were clean and someone was constantly wiping them down. I had never been to a Five Guys, but we stopped in at their Portsmouth, NH location and I was pleasantly surprised. The service is no nonsense, but fast and very efficient. The restaurant was very clean. The "customizable" soda machines are a nice touch, letting you choose from many different flavors. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Portions are more than enough. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. To my surprise, there were two perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked patties. Also, the "choose your own" toppings is also a fun idea, with a wide range of options from sautéed mushrooms to A1 sauce, with no additional cost. All in all a fun experience, and for a fair price. Although it is a fast-food environment, the burger was cooked better than some of the burgers I have had in some of the higher end places in the area. We will definitely return. read more

At first we thought they were a little pricy for burgers, but when we got our food, the servings were huge. The regular burger was $6.29, but had two burgers on it. We brought a group of 130 seniors to a venue nearby as part of our Project Graduation celebration and ordered 140 burgers and fries to be cooked and ready for pickup at the closing hour last Saturday (10pm). The manager I spoke with, Dave, was incredibly easy to work with and provided exactly what we'd asked for, when we asked for it. He could not have been more accommodating. Not one employee complained that, during the hours they usually clean up, we were asking them to cook and pack our order up. As a matter of a fact, when I went in to pay the bill a few days prior, we walked in and were thrilled to see the building, kitchen and tables were SPOTLESS. The dining room was organized, clean and we were greeted warmly as soon as we got inside. My husband was particularly pleased at how we were greeted. One of the employees said, 'How has your day been so far? Are you guys out for a drive on this beautiful day?' It made my husband smile because it was an honest conversation. We both work in hospitality so we spent about 10 minutes on the way home talking about what an inviting place it was. Thank you to your amazing staff and manager. We had an awesome experience. Took some friends to the Portsmouth,NH location yesterday - their first time and their last time as well. The service & food were fine but the dining area was a filthy mess! The floors had clearly not been swept in hours. ALL of the tables were dirty and sticky, we had to wipe down the table we chose. There were chairs randomly moved around the floor and the trash bins were over flowing to a point where you couldn't put any trash in them. There were no lines and the staff did not appear to be exceptionally busy. We were there for about 45 minutes and in that time not one staff member ever came out to inspect or clean the dining area. read more

Wow. How this place has dropped in all aspects since it first opened. I was really looking forward to a great Five Guys burger and hot dog but was disappointed from the moment I entered around 800pm. The place is dirty, including the bathroom. There's at least 6 people behind the counter and grill and the place has only a handful of customers and everyone is waiting. No hot dog buns. And there is "head banger" music blaring enough so you can't converse with the person sitting across a dirty table from you. Some poor customer walked out with a partial order because he had been waiting a long time for 2 milk shakes. Too bad. I travel all over and love Five Guys, except for this one. They seemed to press the burgers down to cook them, as they were crunchy on the outside and dry on the inside. I see Ally mentioned a few responses to not at their standards, but that was months prior. Sounds like retraining is needed for the staff today on 7/5 at 12pm. If you want a good Five Guys, just drive up to Dover, they are so much better and actually great customers as they enter the door, not here. Several people mentioned the ice tea was not working, but guess what, not one single staff person took time to look at it. Now let's talk Fries or lack of. We ordered a regular and seemed to have gotten a half order and most of the fries were tiny. Another standard for Ally to look at as this was not standard for Five Guys at all. One more standard Ally is to look at cleaning the floors as they were greasy and slippery and the staff did not come out once, to clean any tables in the time we ordered, ate and cleaned our own place since the rest were still dirty. read more

I was really excited to see 5 Guys move into town. Nothing like a great burger and fries. But I was really disappointed. Asked for Bacon Cheeseburger - got a Bacon Double Cheeseburger that was greasy and too big to eat. Gross. Then there were the French Fries. I asked the woman taking my order how big the fries order was. She shows me a large cup. Thinking that I was buying lunch for a few people I elected to go for two orders. I'm standing waiting for the order and I see the french fry guy fill two of the cups and then take two other containers and fill them with fries and dump them in my bag. I had like 5 pounds of french fries when I got home. Most were wasted. Overall, I was grossed out and now every time I drive by 5 Guys, I start to gag. I don't understand the attraction - isn't that the same hamburgers you used to get at the greasy spoon? Sure tasted like it. I will say though that the service was excellent. Let me preface this by saying I indulge in Five Guys once a week, but usually at the Seabrook, NH location. All I have to say about this location is "yikes!" I believe it's run by the same franchisee but you wouldn't know it. I couldn't believe how dirty and sticky things were in comparison to Seabrook (which I believe is an older store) I noticed before I even opened the door that the concrete sidewalk was stained with grease which seemed odd, then I walked into the store and it looked beat, the faux wood grain chairs appeared to be scrubbed so heavily that the wood grain was coming off, not in a good "we clean so often we wear everything out" way but in a "we let this place go so long we basically had to have the store sandblasted" way. There was no one immediately at the register, apparently they were out back doing god knows what but the two gentlemen working the grill were extremely pleasant and my food came out very quick. read more
