Up until Covid, our family would go out for breakfast to IHOP probably once a month. Always had great service and delicious food. The last few visits have been by order pick up. Each time something has been missed in the order or the service itself has been off. Today, was the worst visit by far. We had ordered the family breakfast. 3 chicken and waffles, one french toast and sausage. Over the phone, we had asked for one sugar free syrup and butter pecan syrup for the rest of the plates, plus an extra. When I got there, I paid & left a pretty decent tip. Double checking on the butter pecan syrup with the girl at counter. She said yes. That there were 2. I politely said that we would need 2 more. Since we have 3 plates that had requested it and one wanted extra. Without a word, she went in back got the syrup, put the bag on the counter and said "HERE" . Then turned away and proceeded to have a conversation with a coworker. I waited in disbelief for a moment before I started walking out. Before I reach the door, I stopped and asked for her name...but! What I should have done was corrected the tip amount to reflect her attitude. read more

We had an IHOP here in Bremerton for years, but eventually it gave up the ghost, couldn't compete with the less plasticky Family Pancake I'm guessing. So Silverdale's is the nearest. I've always rather liked the place, it's existed throughout my life and I've never left any branch feeling that that wasn't any good. That can't be said of many chains I fear. read more

The service was fast. Almost too fast. We got our meals about 3 minutes after we ordered. I don't know, but I think most of the food is just sitting, pre-cooked in bins waiting to be put on a plate. The eggs were hot, but everything else was just warm. I don't think we were more than 4 bites in when the server brought the check. I ordered the Swedish crepes, which I have had before at other locations and found delicious. The first plate came out with cold crepes. I asked the waiter, Joshua, to take them back as they were cold. He then informs me that the lingonberry sauce on top is cold, as is the butter. I still sent it back. They came back hot but with absolutely no taste. The lingonberry butter was ice cold, in chunks and impossible to spread. I ate three bites and gave up. I ordered my infant daughter 1 scrambled egg and it was so greasy you could see drops of grease on the plate. I come to this restaurant once or twice a month. Always good food and good service. However, today the food still tasted good. My chicken fried steak was cooked well and was hot. But my pancakes were Luke warm at best. I don't know about you, but pancakes never taste good when they are barely warm. We saw the pancakes sitting on the counter in the kitchen for over 5 minutes. If anything, they should of just brought the pancakes out when it was still hot instead of worrying about bringing everything at once. I really enjoy the food here and the customer service but quality control needs to be a higher priority. So I went to I hope for there .60 cent pancake special for their anniversary. I have gone the last couple years and know they get busy usually. It was surprisingly fast service for the event, that might explain the flakes of burnt junk on the pancakes. With my meal I asked for a chocolate milkshake since it was a very hot day. This is what really got me upset about this visit. I could taste strawberries guess they don't clean the machine between shakes. They used a lot of milk in this shake that tasted like it was about to be bad. (Close enough in my appion.) Both of these tastes where stronger than the hint of cheap chocolate syrup that they apparently use. Bottom line don't get shakes here. read more

On Dec. 11, 2017 I went for dinner at the Silverdale, Wa IHOP restaurant. I ordered a senior dinner, turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and garlic toast. The dinner was served right away, it was barely room temperature. I asked the manager to heat it up. It came back a little warmer. After I started to eat, I saw the broccoli had brown spots on it. The turkey tasted "old" and dried up. There was very little gravy on it. After eating a couple of bites of turkey I became afraid I might get food poisoning because it tasted old, like maybe left over from Thanksgiving? The only good thing was a piece of toast. I didn't eat the meal, told the manager it wasn't edible. He made me pay for it anyway, $8.99. I will never go there again. read more

My first experience at this IHOP was far from exceptional. I came in on a rainy day for a light breakfast. It wasn't that busy so I was hoping to be served quickly as I had a meeting in an hour. It took 15 minutes to get a server and it took twice that for my order to arrive. At this point I had already lost my appetite but I didn't want my time to be completely wasted. So I grabbed my pancakes and hot cocoa to go. The hot cocoa was extremely sweet, thick and not even hot anymore. My pancakes were cold as well. It was definitely not worth the wait. Service was good today, food was good. We went in about 10 am on a Saturday. No wait. My son wanted a burger and they served it no problem in the morning. The waiter was Danny, he was very attentive. At one point even the manger came out to make sure our food was good and asked if we needed anything. Prices were average. I wish they could make the hasbrowns crispier, they never can. I wish we had gotten our servers name. We went into the Silverdale store about 7AM this morning. I want to thank our server for great service and being one of the few that asked to check my husband's ID as requested on his Debit card. The banks have made it so easy for others to use cards that don't belong to them, and most of the businesses help that problem by not checking ID's, if a pin number is not required. We sign all of our cards "Please check ID". We go to breakfast here often, and she is the first to verify ID. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wish I had been more diligent in getting your name. I hope IHOP encourages their employees to continue protecting our bank accounts. read more

I give three stars for two reasons. I'm confused on whether i should go to this place or not. One thing that is consistently bad is the customer service. I go on Sundays in the morning so i don't know what its like during the week. The food is good usually after sending it back once or twice. They brought me substitute food and tried to pass it off as what I ordered...when I called him out he said...sorry we have been out of that for weeks and I forgot. So I didn't make a big deal I just didn't eat my pancakes, where I started to get bothered was I continued to see this manager all throughout the restaurant as he was handling money, touching the blinds, sweeping right by customers tables including ours, touching customers on their shoulders, and touching the door to bring out a curbside order all while after I had noticed the sauce on his hand when he brought my food out. I instantly lost my appetite because when was this man washing his hands? By far the worst experience we've ever had at an ihop. We sat for approximately 15min before any drinks or orders were taken, the food came out cold and my eggs had hair. Then we finished our meal and sat around for another 30min and not once did anyone come and refill our drinks. I'd understand if they were busy but they really weren't. Usually, the wait is short and the hosts are nice. This time I was ignored due to having 2 elderly groups behind me. The older groups have disabled veterans, the same as I am a disabled veteran. I went today for Breakfast with my daughter, we had to way for around 10 minuets. When we got our table I saw lots of empty Dirty tables . I work in the restaurant industry too. And we use trays to clean the tables . And make sure costumers don't have to way . All the servers we're taking a few dirty dishes at the time.by hand and the person I believe was the manager was just walking around and around doing nothing.there we're a less 8 dirty tables and around 20 people waiting. Very disappointed due to POOR service. We are a frequent flyer with IHOP so we definitely understand the Sunday rush following church. That being said, we got there and were told 10-15 minute wait, took less then 10 minutes to get sat, took close to 15 to get acknowledged by our waitress. We placed our food and drink order, we ordered mozzarella sticks that actually came out before our server came with the drinks. When the food came, we were missing 1/3 or what was ordered. I asked how many tables our server had, thinking 6-8 tables due to the poor service but she said that she had 4 and couldn't keep up.
