Went to the ihop in Stillwater. Long wait for food. Then when it finally comes out I find a hair mixed in my hash browns. I informed the manager nicely and he did not seem to care or apologize. My friends and I have been studying at Stillwater IHOP for a minimum of once a week since the beginning of the semester, but after the events of this last week, we will not be returning. Previous to this experience, I'd have given IHOP 5 stars, but no longer. On Monday night, we had been studying fairly quietly for a little while when the manager quite rudely asked us to leave. This happened at two am when there was only two other tables in the restaurant who were also studying and had not had anyone new for at least 30 minutes. Those other tables were also rudely asked to leave. Her explanation was "we don't want to have a wait at the door in case we get busy". We had all gotten food, tipped the server very well, and while we had been there for a while, no one in the restaurant was being disruptive in any way. My entire group is in the restaurant industry, so we totally understand if it's busy, you don't want a table being taken up, but it wasn't and the situation was handled disrespectfully. The next day we went the same overnight manager was very rude to us, but did not make any comments. Last night however, is why we will no longer be frequenting the establishment. We went in to study and got sat by the same overnight manager, sat there for 15 minutes, and were not so much as greeted by our server. When another table was sat and the server went right over to them and got their drinks, we decided to leave. As we were leaving, we saw both the manager and the server sitting on their phones on the other side of the restaurant. On Monday night, we were asked to leave at a 2AM by the new overnight manager in a very rude tone. At this time, there were two other tables in the restaurant who were also studying. Me and my friends work in the service industry so we would completely understand if there was a valid reason, however, there had not been a table walk in for at least 30 minutes. We had all gotten food, and tipped the server very well. We were extremely confused and upset because it is finals week, and we needed to study. IHOP is one of the few places in Stillwater that is open 24 hours, so it doesn't make sense to ask us to leave. The next day we went the same overnight manager was very rude to us, but did not make any comments. Today was the last straw. We went in to study and got sat by the same overnight manager. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one came to our table. During this time another table was sat and the server went right over to them and got their drinks. We got up and left because both the server and the manger were completely ignoring us. As we got up to leave we saw both of them sitting at a table playing on their phones. This is completely unacceptable and I can not imagine why they would think this is okay. I would never treat customers this way, especially when we have not been rude in any way. We will not be retuning to ihop and considering the fact that we have been there nearly every night since the beginning of the semester up until the new management, this is very upsetting. This lady I don't know who she was but told us we could not eat there clearly seeing people at the tables and booths. just went to go eat at the ihop in Stillwater while visiting my sister. immediately upon entering the store we weren't greeted or communicated to at all, just were made to awkwardly stand there and wait. when we were sat we couldn't even hear the person tell us to go to the table, lol. all of this is nothing to make a review about, however when we got up to pay our checks, two of the kitchen staff were staring, pointing and laughing at our group. I stared at the girl in the kitchen and she changed the look on her face but kept staring. I looked away trying to brush it off but when I looked back at them, they were pointing and laughing again. and they were very obviously pointing at us. I confronted them and they said nothing of course and they went back to work. Y'all can dish judgements but get mad when someone calls you out for it, make it make sense lol. I attempted to tell ERNESTO the alleged manager on duty about what they were doing, and he tried to tell me that he's "sure they weren't laughing and staring at us but he will talk to them" even though he wasn't even up there to know?? I understand there's people in the world that complain just to complain, but my family isn't one of those families. If ERNESTO thinks that all of his customers are liars, he needs to be removed from management and customer service in general. I hope y'all can all learn to keep your judgements to yourself. Ate here this morning. Would give five stars but service and getting seated was a bit slow and rocky. I know with COVID seating is limited however when we came in 3/4 if not more of the entire dining area was empty and they were telling people it would be 30+ minute waits.... they were short handed you could tell also so we give the benefit of the doubt and waited our turn. Ended up only being about 20 minutes to get to a table once they started seating people again. Took longer then that to get drinks then it got better. Our waitress was friendly and you could tell stressed. Food was great though. Just need some more staff seems like Will definitely be back. read more

This IHOP is the WORST we have ever been to, we waited the standard 25 min's for a table and then sat for almost 1 1/2 hours for our food - the restaurant was completely empty by the time we got our food, when we asked to talk to the manager we heard him basically tell the waitress no he wouldn't talk to us, he is a coward and should be fired!! So we go in and there is the trashiest 3 some ever in there drunk off their asses. 2 guys and one girl. They were so drunk they didnt realize they spilled their food all over themselves, one guy was throwing pancakes at the other guy and they were grinding them into the floor stepping on them when they were falling out of the back booth by the kitchen (left hand side of the restaurant.) Usually have no problem with service when my children and I have came here. Today was an exception to that. We were seated and waited almost 15 minutes to even give a drink order. Waitress cleaned tables a round us and even took care of a few other customers. Then it was almost 40 minutes before food was served, as we watched others getting food after we arrived. Horrible service from Jacy, not once said thank you. She never checked up on us we went 15 minutes without any refills and we had to call her over to get them. Never got napkins and never gave us a second to ask for anything. We were eating with someone who is diabetic and she could not ask for sugar free syrup. Ihop ran out of hash browns and jacy didn't tell us until we got our food and had small potatoes instead. jacy was rude and very blunt with us, not professional at all! Overall horrible experience! This IHOP is average at best. I have dined at locations that have had amazing food and good customer service. Unfortunately this particular IHOP is not one of them. It's a real toss up as to whether or not you will be served a meal up to standard, or if you are getting something thrown together because the cooks couldn't care to be bothered. I hate to group all servers together as that is not fair to the good ones. Overall the wait staff are sub par. They are either at your table after every bite (what it feels like) or they are completely nonexistent. I can't tell you the number of times we've waited at our table, or stood up looking for our server only to eventually just go up front from never getting our ticket. Avoid going here on Sunday mornings after church unless you want to wait a looooong time. read more

Other than that, the food quality in my experience has been mediocre AT BEST, and I honestly have not had worse hashbrowns which is my favorite part of breakfast. I went in for a late dinner. They told me they did not seat anyone for dine-in after 10:15. I looked at my watch. It was 10:18. They close at 11:00. They refused to serve me 42 minutes before closing. There was only one other customer in the restaurant. They think they can afford to turn away paying customers over 3 minutes. The server never checked on us and threw our tickets at us after eating, couldn't even bother handing them to us like a normal person. The hash browns were so undercooked and scary looking, overall horrible place to eat with even shittier Service. The doors in the bathroom don't lock, shit was all over the floor and it smelled god awful. If your in stillwater, you would be better off eating out of a trash can than this place. It was very apparent that service was short staffed and the manager was running around trying his best to please the pissed customers for the lack of quality in the service. If the server would have simply communicated better during our wait them I feel this rating wouldn't be 1 star. Since she didn't communicate, and we tried our best to work with her; I don't feel this place deserves a better rating than this. I would feel bad if I gave the restaurant a 1 star because my waiter really did work to right the wrong. We went to ihop because I haven't been there in a while, wanted french toast and or breakfast food and just wanted a change of pace. However when I got my food it was ice cold and the hashbrowns were borderline burnt because they were SO crunchy. I informed the waiter and he had the kitchen remake my food.
