My mom and I visited your IHOP location at 270 I-20, Terrell, TX 75160 on November 30, 2025, arriving at approximately 10:50 AM. We waited around 20 minutes just to be seated, which was already longer than expected considering how many empty tables we saw. After finally placing our order at about 11:15 AM, we noticed a couple who had been seated 10 minutes after us receiving their meals by 11:38 AM, while we were still waiting with no update. At that point, my frustration grew, and by 11:45 AM, my mom and I decided to leave since our food never arrived. This experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, poor time management, and obvious oversight by both the staff and management were unacceptable. My mom and I left hungry, frustrated, and completely dissatisfied. I will never return to this establishment again, and I hope management takes these issues seriously for the sake of future customers. read more

Terrible customer service. Placed order at 7:45 AM and went to pick it up at 8:30 and the order was still not ready when I inquired about ETA. They told me five minutes. I was told five minutes four different times equate to 20 minutes at that point I asked for a manager one of the waitress came to take payment and I refused until I seen my order at that point the way stormed off and said not today I requested a manager again the GM came andl came and apologized and gave me her card and said next meal would be on her as if I would be back after this experience if it wasn't Valentine's Day and I hadn't promised my family breakfast. Absolutely the worst IHOP I've ever have the misfortune of entering. As both a customer and a DoorDash delivery driver I have had nothing but sorrow trying to get food from this place. It doesn't matter if there's one customer there or 50, you Can guarantee that you will be ignored, shunned, you will not get customer service and your order will be wrong every single time. Please let me save your time and money, this place was horrible. We entered at 12:10 and did not receive our food at all, we ended up leaving 1hour and 30 minutes later. Service was horrible, barely checking in on us and no updates of our food at all. Not only that, she brought in 2 dirty mugs with lip stains of previous customers. Customers were leaving because of not receiving their order. Very poor service and horrible food, even the toast was burned!

Ordered the breakfast sampler to go with over easy eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, and hash browns. Received 2 pieces of sausage and scrambled eggs. That's it. Nothing else. 30 minutes of being on the phone and no answer. Goes to an answering system. Pathetic. I didn't realize it was ihops company policy to not answer phones. Looking at the order accuracy I can see why they never answer the phones tbh. My advice; 1. Always double check your order before you leave. They will not get it right. 2. Never call them, they don't answer. 3. Probably just go somewhere else. read more

Took my Grandkids for waffles. NO WAFFLES!!! Then they asked for crepes, NO CREPES!!! And absolutely no help!!!

We just spent an hour here, waiting on our food. The waiter finally came and said the computer didn't take our order. We left. If this was the first time we had an issue here, I might let it pass. This or something else has always happened here. We live close and really enjoy IHOP but this one in particular might be the worst one ever. My husband and I took our 2 smallest grandchildren to IHOP Terrell TX for breakfast. We arrived and the restaurant wasn't very busy. We were seated and then waited. Finally the waitress came up and she seemed very distant. Def felt like she wasn't happy and did not want to be there. We overheard her talking to another ee and wasn't happy about something happening there. As each one of us ordered the waitress just kinda bit back with each question we asked. We had kids with us and we wanted to make sure the girls got exactly what they wanted. Out came our food and my husbands steak was supposed to be med rare and it was well. My granddaughter ordered pancakes, well actually she only wanted one pancake with NO bananas. They brought her out two pancakes with bananas. The waitress finally came back and we told her. She took back the pancakes and we could hear her yelling at the cooks. It was a little uneasy to hear. My husband said fine with the steak and ate it. We arrived at the restaurant, short wait for a table, took 10 minutes to place our drink order, then another 10 for food order. We had to finally ask the manager to get water. A similar size group, with a similar order, that arrived 15 minutes after us were nearly through eating before we asked the manager where our order was. We received some excuse about 2 sides to the kitchen and our order went to a different side of the kitchen. Several groups that arrived after us ate and left before we received our order. We love to stop at this IHOP on our way out of Dallas. The staff is the friendliest of any IHOP i have been to! Especially Alvaro! The place is so clean and comfortable. We had a mix of pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, and more! The bacon was crispy just like i ordered. The pancakes were hot and fluffy. The biscuits were toasted to perfection. One of the worse experiences I've ever had. My family and I wanted to go out to eat before I left for college. We got there early so it wasn't super busy. Our waitress Traci took 20 minutes just to get our drink out (ordered 1 coffee, 2 waters, and a hot chocolate.) Then took our order after we got our drinks. At least 2 tables came in after we got our drinks yet got their food before us. We had a table of 5 so it's not a big party or anything. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door, our waitress was quick, bubbly sweet (at 7:30am) and the food was cooked to perfection. The waitress kept our drinks full and offered to-go drinks. Absolutely the worst IHOP I have ever been to. We were customers several months ago and had a bad experience: slow service, cold food, nonchalant attitude. Fast forward to today: Waffle House had a very long line so we decided to give IHOP another opportunity: horrible mistake on our part. It took a bit over 1.5 hours to have breakfast and we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. I also had to point out to the person seating us that they had skipped a lady and her kids to seat us. They went and took care of them immediately but didn't seem to be bothered by the fact they had skipped the waiting customer. Extremely slow service, food cold (again), sent food back so we could receive incorrect order when they brought it back out, and an even more nonchalant attitude by everyone working there. I asked for a manager but one never came. It was our servers first day which is ok but no one was helping/guiding him to be successful. I observed and heard him ask a fellow server to check on our food but she chose not to. What a great staff they are not. It is safe to say that IHOP will not receive a third opportunity from me or my family. read more

Nice waitress, but cold eggs, cold sausage / bacon & hash browns, warm pancakes. Talked to the mngr and she suggested since the other IHOP didn't upcharge, we should go there. Placed an order for curbside pick up sat in the curbside spots for over 30 minutes while I sat on hold with the store and was hung up on 4 times, this entire establishment is a joke. If your going to offer curbside then fulfill your curbside orders! After being hung up on 4 times I had to go into the store to get my food where it still wasn't ready and had to wait even longer. As a server I understand restaurants get busy but an unrealistic expectations of your food being ready in 15 minutes when it took well over 45 to get my food. I understand curbside is a luxury however if your going to advertise and give the option for curb side follow through with it! read more

Horrible service. Our waitress, Rosie, walked past our empty glass several times without asking if we'd like a refill, and was tricky to flag down. We waited an hour and did not get our food, while a table who arrived in our section at least 10-15 minutes after us was already enjoying their food. We tried to ask our waitress if our food was coming soon, but she avoided us! She quickly walked past our table to serve the neighboring tables and avoided looking in our direction. I understand that sometimes it's slow in the kitchen, but she could've at least told us if this was the case. We were so hungry we had to just leave. Luckily Mariachis was right there and they treated us amazing. Wonderful food! We spent less time in there than we did in IHOP waiting on our food. Noon on a Sunday...about a 20 min wait for a table and another 20 min for food to be on the table. Not bad at all. Justin took our drink order and was very apologetic that they were out of whip cream for the hot chocolate and out of most coffee creamers. Izzy took care of our food order and all follow up.
