The food has always been amazing the times I've been. Service is always great too, and the view is simply fantastic! What pushed me to write this review is this young man, Rooney, I've had serving me twice now. I recently came in this Sunday and the wait to get a table was exceptionally long, so my family and I were already in a sour mood when we sat down. We sat outside at the patio and our server Rooney came along and greeted us quickly! He got us situated immediately and we also noticed that he was also taking care of larger parties inside and outside as well. His recommendations were so helpful and his run down of the menu was greatly appreciated by my husband and daughter. Everything was so fast and speedy with him, but he made us feel extremely welcomed and at home and never rushed us. I've been helped by him before when I came with one of my friends, and the experience never changes. Rodeo Goat is my favorite burger place in Rockwall! They have a ton of options, and there are 2 different special burgers that get switched out every month. There is really nice outdoor seating (+ indoor as well.) The service has been friendly and pleasant every time I have been there. They also offer a gluten free bun, which is pretty good. I will say that there is a bird problem with the outdoor seating, as lots of crows are constantly swooping around. Also, if you are NOT wanting a burger, the only other option is a salad or fries, but as long as you're in a meat-mood, this place is the best! read more

Customer service was wack. Was there for my grandmothers birthday and was not once greeted or thanked by any staff for being there. We had a great late lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Our server was super sweet and made great suggestions on beer and food options. The build-your-own burger I made (blt, mayo, and added avocado spread) was FANTASTIC!! The fries were a hit. Sweet potato and plain were both the most amazing addition to their burgers. Loved the spicy and regular ranch! Okay now to the margarita. Strong and tasted pretty good. My husband enjoyed the beer options (purple haze and dark matter). My only beef with the harbor is the parking. I don't feel the infrastructure here is set up for this much volume of stores and customers. Of course this isn't the restaurants' fault. read more

We were visiting Rockwall and decided to give Rodeo Goat a shot for dinner. This spot definitely leans into its casual, lively Texas charm. It has a fun, loud, and bustling atmosphere with a gorgeous view of Lake Ray Hubbard. I can imagine the patio being a prime hangout in the cooler months, especially with that waterfront breeze. The restaurant operates on a seat-yourself system, which sounds simple enough, until it isn't. On our Wednesday evening visit, the place was packed, and it took a bit too long for servers to notice new tables and get menus out. We also noticed a bit of a lag in getting tables wiped down and flipped for waiting guests. There are a few TVs scattered around for the sports fans, which adds to the upbeat, casual vibe. Now, let's talk food--burgers are clearly the star here, and they do them well. My husband ordered the BILLY F GIBBONS (formerly the Bad Hombre), which came stacked with candied bacon, caramelized onions, gouda, mango pico, cream cheese, and trailboss sauce. He noted the mango pico had a nice kick without being overwhelming, and surprisingly the gluten-free bun actually tasted good (a rare feat for anyone GF). I went with the RAY HUBBARD, topped with white cheddar, candied bacon, blackberry compote, and bourbon mustard. The patty was juicy, the bun soft, and while the combo sounded like magic, the bourbon mustard really overpowered the dish. I was hoping for more from the blackberry compote. It was barely there, which was disappointing because it could've added a great balance to the richness. We split an order of sweet potato fries, which were crispy and well-seasoned. Also, bonus points: they don't skimp on the ice in their tea, which is the kind of little detail I absolutely notice and appreciate in Texas heat. A quick note for my fellow gluten-free diners: they do offer GF buns, even though it's not noted on the menu. Just be cautious if you have a true allergy because fried sides share a fryer, so cross-contamination is a risk. Overall, this was a satisfying stop with flavorful burgers, a high-energy vibe, and fair prices. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to hit another Rodeo Goat location, but this visit left us full and happy. read more

We had lunch here on a Monday afternoon and sat outside on the patio. I thought the swings for benches was a neat idea and the view of the lake is incredible. We ordered the sweet potato fries and they came out hot and delicious. The ranch dressing was excellent as well. I ordered the Levi's Blue Jean Burger and it was pretty decent but the blue cheese wasn't the best, and the burger could've tasted meatier for a double patty burger. Overall we had an amazing experience and our waitress Gianna was excellent and provided amazing quick service. I would recommend Rodeo Goat out of all the restaurants here at the harbor if you're coming to enjoy the scenery and good food. read more

What makes the Rockwall spot stand out is its incredible outdoor patio, complete with swinging tables and chairs and a beautiful view of the lake. It's one of the best patios around. The burgers themselves are wonderfully creative, often featuring unexpected ingredients--like strawberry compote. On a burger? Absolutely. And it works. I can be a pretty picky eater, but at Rodeo Goat I've learned to trust the menu. Order it the way the chef intended, and you'll be glad you did. You can't go wrong with any Rodeo Goat, but the Rockwall location is especially worth the visit for the views and the outstanding burgers. You won't be disappointed. read more

The bbq sauce was sweet with a hint of spice from the jalapeños paired well together with the crunch from the onions. I ordered mine with 2 patty and it was so delicious I ordered it twice. Came here for lunch with a work group around 12 in the afternoon. No wait to be seated and no reservation needed. Restaurant is over Looking a waterfront so there are options to sit outside or in. We opted for in due to this Texas heat! The burger selection is one of the best I have seen. There are loads of varieties of toppings and specialty burgers to choose from. My group we each ordered a different one so we could all try multiples and we split a large side of loaded fries. Every burger we tried had different flavor profiles with the toppings and we ordered without the buns. We also ordered the two burgers that were their featured burgers in competition with one another. Every burger we had was good and after eating I was stuffed! We went ahead and ordered the goat balls which is brie cheese deep fried and covered in powdered sugar and a jam drizzle - great full bite and one order was enough to satisfy four of us. I left this restaurant full and satisfied with the equivalent of one burger a side of fries and a small dessert. Good service, great view, and a laid back atmosphere it has been a long time since I enjoyed a good burger like this and unfortunately I was too preoccupied by the food to remember to take photos- which is a good thing! Always clean. Service attentive. The BL-TX whisky drink always amazing. Tried the Cow Patty ( chocolate & pecan TX sheet cake, served warm with vanilla ice cream) for the first time. The cake was very moist on its own and the pecans and ice cream on top were perfect. VERY SADLY had to take off a star for the dry overcooked Nanny Goat burger. That being said it is the first and only time in many many times that I have been to multiple locations that this is ever happened. I would typically give the nanny goat a good 13 out of 10 but today's sadly it became a six and a half to seven out of 10. Everything about the rest of the visit was absolutely wonderful. I came in February and the food was absolutely wonderful. The server was super kind. But on their menu they have this tater tot appetizer that doesn't state it has gluten in it as a binder. I have celiac disease and ate it not knowing. I eventually asked and they said it did. I asked for a shot of tequila quickly because it's been said it's an antibacterial and anti microbial so it helps people with gluten allergies to not wreck their stomach and lessen a reaction. The upsetting part was the manger even came over and didn't offer to comp the shot or appetizer knowing their customer ate something that wasn't properly labeled. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with celiac disease because they don't label that there are binders in their food. read more

We love this place! Food: my kids love the sliders, the fries are good, the ranch is delicious. I got the American royale which was great and my husband got the spicy burger (hot bastard it's called I think?) which he liked a lot but it is def super spicy. Ambiance: I love sitting outside as there's a great view of the water and there's also a little fish pond that my kids love looking at. Someone who works there saw the boys looking at the fish and brought over fish food so that they could feed them! So cute and a great way to kill time (the wait for the food can take awhile if it's busy). Service: pretty good, I tried to order my kids food first so that they could start eating before us but all of our food came at the same time so idk if the server forgot to put theirs in or what. read more

I've been to this location at least three times. It has a great indoor/outdoor vibe. You choose your seat-inside or outside. The outdoor seating consist of long long benches, bar stools for a possible party of two, or a swing for two with a table bench. The ambiance is a chilled atmosphere for parties, friends catching up, or solo for those who would like to dine with some pretty awesome cocktails and good but expensive burgers. During this visit, my waiter was busy with another table and another waiter and several waitresses came over to take care of me while my waiter served others. We were attended to pretty quickly by the server since it was right when they opened, but I appreciate the friendliness of the staff. I got the D.C.C burger while my other party had the Chaca Oaxaca with fries for each. It was all delicious! Although, the fries were overly salted and left me feeling dehydrated by the time I finished my food. One of us had a cider which was good, but I had one of their margaritas and it tasted awful.
