    Veggie omelette

This is the second time I've been to this ihop. The service is so slow. Not enough help to get around to the customers. We waited so long to order and then again for our coffee and then again for our food. I had to stop the server to ask for something because no one checked in once during our breakfast. The food was tasty though. And there was ample parking. We tried the waffle, pancakes and the veggie omelette.

On a scale from one to ten. Service 3 Cleanliness 5 Food 3.2 The restaurant was nearly empty and they sat us right by the kitchen. Waitress thought she was doing us a favor taking our order, when she finally made it to our table. The food came out 25 minutes later. It was ok.

The beer cheese was tasty, and the pretzels were soft & salted. I had a bit of guidance with the menu from my waitress who was very attentive. I ordered the flagship tattooed dog, and upgraded my fries to have the carnivore toppings. It came out and WOW. I didn't know how to eat it. I ultimately ate all of the fries to clear up some room to handle the hot dog. Ended up using a knife and fork because i was making a mess. But both the fries and the dog tasted great. My waitress got me a box before i had to ask, and brought me the check. It was a quick, tasty, pleasant experience.

On our most recent experience, things appear to have slipped off. The service was still good, and…read morethe relaxed atmosphere works, even though the booth I sat in was getting a little worse for wear with a hole in the back, and a lack of support. An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.

The inside is the same layout from when it was originally grotto grill with booths lining one wall and tables in the other side. I was bummed to find out they were only serving regular margs and only in single plastic cups for the day as I probably would've went elsewhere. The margaritas were not full pours (including with ice) and batch made which was disappointing. I would've rather paid more to have the flavor and size I wanted. For food we ordered the chicken quesadilla, carne asada tacos, and the quesabirria. I think it's weird that the quesabirria doesn't come with a side of rice & beans so you have to order them separately if you want them. Overall the food was good! I highly recommend the quesabirria it's the most flavorful and well proportioned I've had in the area so far! Once we got our food our waitress seemed to disappear. We finished eating and waited an additional almost 10 minutes before being able to stop a random server to ask for boxes and the check. This meant we were unable to order more drinks and if we did have an issue, would not have been able to get it fixed. They also gave out free shirts if you spend so much money on that day so I thought that was a unique and fun parting gift! I'll be back in on a regular day to try their margaritas because you can't truly know if it's your new fav without good drinks to go with the food!

It's my first time here but my friend has been here a few times before and she's always had a good experience. Service is friendly and efficient considering how busy it can get in the mornings (especially on a Sunday). Some dishes can be a little greasy (the hash browns) but that's expected. Looked online ahead of time gave him my order to find out that they don't have an up to date menu on website. That's fine, so I pick an alternate. Food, pretty good.. hashbrowns crispy and portion size nice. The issue is that my husband is not white and the staff working ignored him and gave him unreasonable trouble. First, seats him for a takeout order. Second, takes and brings food to three other patrons who entered after him. Never provided a menu to him and once other patrons food arrived he decided to go to the checkout to place our order. We will stick to other restaurants in the area as a racist establishment is not where I will spend my money or time. Have the day you deserve, Village Cafe.

It is a cute shop with friendly staff and they were knowledgeable about what they offered. I got a maple Bacon donut which was amazing! Truly the best Maple Bacon donut I have ever had. Also a raspberry pistachio which was also delicious. The donuts were the same except the toppings but they aren't heavy cake donuts. They were light and airy and broke apart easily kind of like a cinnamon roll. I had the top part with the toppings and dipped the bottom in their maple dip. The dip was delicious but the donuts were coated in a sugar... not a glaze but granulated sugar so if dip is not your thing you would still have a nice sweet donut throughout. I also got the Mango passion refresher which was so good. What amazed me though was my mother who isn't a fan of sweet things even liked the cinnamon donut she got. That says a lot to me because she is picky lol. Also the staff was friendly enough to give a mini donut to sample and that was extremely kind and I Chan say the minis are just as delicious as the full sized donuts. They do not skimp on quality here which is nice because they are a bit in the pricier side, but for the size of the donuts and the quality especially I didn't feel overcharged. Can't wait to try other flavors and even their savory donuts !
