The service and the waitress messed up our order and the receipt wasn't matching out to the customers food order

If I could get zero stars, I would. I can't even comment on the food because we never had the opportunity to order any food or drink. When we walked in, we were seated. I knew something was wrong when the party behind us had the hostess come up and ask them if anyone has taken their order yet. Another party was seated in front of us, and after five minutes, a waitress came and asked them for any drink orders, nobody even came to our table for over 15 minutes after being seated. 20 total minutes passed between us being seated and nobody coming over to us, even for a drink order. The establishment was not crowded, but the employees seem more concerned with leaning over the greeting counter, checking their phones, and talking with each other than making sure everyone was served and helped. We gathered our belongings and walked out. We will not be returning, ever. There's a reason why this particular establishment has such a low rating. read more

A good visit. My partner is disabled, and they helped her with the door. They let us pick a table that would be the most comfortable for her. The restaurant was spotless, and everybody was friendly. We each had the 2 x 2 x 2, two pancakes, two eggs, and two protein. We each had one sausage and one bacon, we asked for the bacon to be crispy, and it came very crispy. We asked if they still had the pumpkin pancakes. The server said she thought that they were done for the season, but she would double check. Fortunately, they still did. There was a small upcharge, which we expected. We could smell the pancakes as soon as they brought them to the table. They also had whipped cream on top, which was very good. You could definitely taste the pumpkin flavor, they were rich and delicious. The eggs were done, just right, the sausage was good, and as I mentioned before, the bacon was perfectly crispy. My partner liked her tea, my coffee was good, and we both had a carafe for our refills. Prices were very reasonable, and they even offered a military/veterans discount. I had given my hop a bad review.Just a couple of months ago, today my best friend wanted to go there for her birthday.I tried to get her to go somewhere else.But she insistedid today's experience was no better than my last experience.Actually a little bit worse, they took our order brought us. Our food out our pancakes were raw, told the waitress she took our plates away immediately to get new pancakes made the manager came over and said that he would be taking the pancakes off of our bill, which was understandable considering they were raw. When we got our final bill , they actually only took off 1.50 that is incredible for serving us raw pancakes. Again, I encourage you not to go to this IHOP. It is unbelievably a very horrible experienyes. Ask for cleanliness, yeah. A party of 5 of us stopped in for breakfast. A 5 - 10 minute wait turned into 45 minutes. It took 1/2 hour just to bring our coffee out. The server brought our coffee and orange juice. A different server finally brought our food. He was setting my plate down and knocked my entire glass of orange juice onto me. My pants and shirt were drenched. He never brought a towel. We had to find napkins. They finally switched us to a clean table. The manager was notified, but never spoke to us, which was incredibly cowardly. He knocked 10% off our check and ignored the entire situation. He should be fired. Never again! read more

Our dining experience was excellent from start to finish. We stopped in for dinner. I know, you're asking yourself who eats dinner at an IHOP. The staff was courteous & pleasant. The restaurant was clean & bright. We were immediately seated & our orders taken. Service was quick & efficient. Our food was fresh, hot & very tasty. We enjoyed a Classic Bacon Burger & a Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Both were served with a side of onion rings. our sandwiches, the onion rings & our beverages were outstanding. We've enjoyed breakfast at this IHOP in the past & we're vey glad we decided to try their sandwiches. Our waitress checked on us numerous times & was quick to take care of the free refills of our beverages. The owners are currently offering breakfast specials & a senior evening meal deal when beverages are ordered with 2 entrees. We'll definitely be returning. read more

After waiting 15 minutes for drinks it took 45 minutes to get the food the waitress had no clue who ordered what The food was atrocious worst I have ever had the service was even worse. I saw five waitresses in and out of the kitchen there was literally our table and one other table to be waited on it is absolutely absurd that it took us a full hour to get food they never came back and asked about drink refills I had to ask three times for sugar for the coffee we also had to request silverware to eat the food I will never go there again. Do not come here, one of the worst dining experiences i've ever had. The waiter was offended by us calling him sir, and told us to refer to him as "the fun man" instead. I'm not sure if he was trying to make sexual advances on us but it sure seemed that way. The food is about what you would expect, over easy eggs looked like playdough. We ordered two breakfast meals that took 45 minutes. the sausage gravy looked extremely questionable. My boyfriends fried potatoes were extremely hot but his eggs were cold and had shells in them, I could see a few but it was unacceptable. We went for a brunch today. It started with a nice waitress, Patty. Friendly and polite. We ordered coffees to start. One of the cups had good stuck inside. Did get a new clean one. We ordered a breakfast sampler and an polano eggs Benedict. The food took so long to come out. The eggs Benedict was not even right. Was missing most of what was supposed to be on it. That got sent back. The pancakes came out but nothing else. Everything took so long to come out. The place had 4 tables and they were all eating. The waitress kept apologizing for the delay. Was told there were new cooks. Finally our food came out and the manager stopped by the apologize. While we were eating the food as the manager talked to us a hair was found in the food. That ended that terrible experience. Was not worth the time, effort and gas to go there. read more

Our second trip to the new IHOP which is the only one in the area. Were there two weeks ago. It was frantic, jammed and service was spotty and slow. They had just opened so we chalked it up to newness. We have eaten at other IHOP locations out of the area and always been satisfied. I mean hey, this isn't gourmet food. It's stick to your ribs breakfast, brunch and American Classics. Nothing gourmet about it. No Gruyere or Camonberre or Filet Mignon. But you do expect a minimum level of competence, especially for a chain. We got to the IHOP in Wilkes-Barre around 8:30. It was a long day so I gathered up my wife and son and said "Let's go grab a quick bite. Nothing fancy. Denny's or IHOP?" My son hadn't been to the new IHOP yet so he made the choice. We got there and the place was almost empty. NOT a good sign. The local Denny's which has been down the road about a 1/4 mile has been there since the 1980's and is ALWAYS busy. The hostess was very nice and attentive and seated us quickly. Our waiter came by not long after and took our drink order. Simple. Sweet Tea, lemonade and root beer; except my tea wasn't sweet and only had three little pieces of ice in it. It was luke warm at best. Nothing near cold. I tolerated it. A few minutes later he reappeared and we ordered. Brian was quick and attentive and answered our questions. He took our order and vanished. About 15 minutes later he reappeared with a helper and our dinner. My wife had pancakes. My son had French Toast and bacon with a side of hash browns. I had boneless fried chicken breast with cornbread stuffing and mashed potatoes.There was no gravy on the menu so I ordered a side. Let's go through this? My wife got pancakes topped with, on the generous side maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of butter. A 1/2 teaspoon of butter on top of 5 pancakes? Really? Is butter that expensive? My son was happy with his food except for the fact that the hash browns were stone cold. I was delighted with the chicken breast! Maybe the best I've ever had! Fried and seasoned to perfection and it was still juicy! BUT.....the stuffing and mashed potatoes were cold and there was no, zip, zilch, zero, nada spec of gravy anywhere in sight. NONE! I specifically ordered gravy! In fact when Brian took our order I asked for a side of gravy. I said, "Any kind will do: beef, turkey, chicken or country." Needless to say no gravy came out with my dinner which was already cold, except for the chicken. So when Brian reappeared with a smile and asked "Is everything ok folks, we said no!" We asked for butter and gravy. Then a pseudo/manager type guy appeared and asked if everything was ok. We said, "We're waiting for butter and gravy and out food is already cold and getting colder." He said, "I'm sorry and I'll take care of that for you." We didn't see him again. A few minutes later Brian, our waiter reappeared with a plastic IHOP "Kiddie cup" with butter in it for my wife and a small plastic, black cup with something that looked like gravy. it was maybe the size of a cup you'd put a Jello-shot in. My wife and I laughed and said "I'll need more than that!" It was was perhaps the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a restaurant and I've eaten all over the world! Brian was stunned. He was at a loss for words and stammered, "Well, well, um, I'll have to ask. You're gonna have to pay for it if you want more than this." My wife and I laughed again and said that was fine. By now my food was half eaten with very little gravy and was completely cold. Minutes later and I do mean minutes, Brian returned with two more little cups the size of those paper ketchup cups Wendy's uses. I thanked him and he went on his way. But this wasn't gravy. What was in these cups looked like hot water with some instant bullion thrown it. It had no body, wasn't thickened at had no flavor other than salt. Very disappointing. I apologized to my wife and son and we gave this place the sign of the cross. Perhaps the highlight of my night was when we first walked in the door. A man and his wife stopped us and he pulled me aside and said, "HERE is a guy I can trust." I was wearing my red MAGA Hat and he too was obviously a conservative or at the very least, a Trump Supporter. You know, one of the deplorables from the "basket of deplorables?" They let us out once in a while. Anyway, he reached into his wallet and said, "Down at the end of this row (gesturing) is a woman who doesn't have a pot to piss in. I want to remain anonymous. Please give this to her. She's in the bathroom right now" It was a twenty dollar bill." I thanked him, shook his hand and said, "You bet." When she returned, I did as he asked and said, "Excuse me ma'am. There was a man and a woman just in here. They asked me to give this to you." Her face lit up like she had won the lottery. She appeared to be homeless or semi-homeless or at least on hard times. God works his will through many ways and I was blessed to be a part of it on my IHOP visit. read more

if I could have given this a no star I would have. my family and I went when it first opened, and we thought it was good but then we went back a few months later and the service was slow and bad the food was bad chicken tenders weren't cooked all the way they were still raw, fries tasted like they had been sitting all day, my wife asked for a very well-done burger and the outside was burnt but the inside was still raw. When we told the waitress you thought we had said she messed it up she got defensive and mad and made it seems like it was a chore to take it back. First, I want to say that the second star is because our waitress was very friendly and attentive, otherwise this would have to be a one star review. (I believe her name was Crystal, at least that's what the receipt said). When we walked in we saw multiple employees milling around and the place was practically empty. All the booths were dirty when they went to seat us. The floor was dirty. Employees were complaining about how slow it was, so if you have no customers why are you not cleaning up? We didn't have to wait long for our food, but our hash browns were missing. Our waitress came back with fresh hash browns quickly, which was appreciated. The employees (cooks included) need to better familiarize themselves with the menu. The eggs were undercooked and looked like plastic. There was a hair on one of our plates. I managed customer service all my life and typically I will not take the time to write a negative review as life is filled with too much negativity and people are quick to point them out. Positive feedback is less common so when I have a good experience, I will go out of my way to write a positive review. This is not one of them: My 88yr old Aunt has been very Ill and pretty much bed ridden for over a year now and it is very hard for her to get around anymore between multiple surgeries she has had to have. Needless to say, she does not get out much and when she does it's for the Doctor, tests, or surgery. Today she had an important test at the hospital as she has potential life-threatening situations ongoing. She decided for the first time in a very, very, very long time that she wanted to go somewhere to eat on the way home. We were thrilled to be able to get her out. We knew it could not be anything that would potentially upset her stomach like Mexican or Italian which she used to enjoy. She has mostly eaten only rice or breakfast type foods lately, but it was too late for breakfast in most places, so we thought IHOP! As they serve breakfast around the clock, and it will be easy on her stomach. There were many restaurants on our way home that we could have stopped but she was hungry, and up for the stop. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences in our lives and you never know if this was her last. We arrived and sat for 10 minutes before anyone came over and then had to wait just to get coffee. At 11am on a Friday morning. When they brought our coffee in their serving container there was only enough coffee in there for 2 and a half cups but there was 4 of us. It also appeared to be cold and the bottom of the barrel or something. They then got us a full hot container. We did not have enough creamers at the table and no utensils. When we asked for utensils, the waitress told us they were out of spoons. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time??? So we said, " we needed something to stir our coffee". She then brought us 3 forks and 2 napkins. 4 of us??? We gave our order to her and a trainee. Reminded them that we will also need another fork, napkins, and knives to cut our pancakes and waffles. We sat and waited, and waited, and waited. We waited at least 45minutes for our food. Simple breakfast items!!! When we finally received our order naturally neither one of them could remember who got what, so we directed them. The strawberries were frozen, no, I'm not simply complaining that they serve frozen strawberries over fresh but the strawberries were icy cold and therefore the pancakes and waffles were also cold. My poor aunt had to have Her's warmed to eat it and the rest of us were so hungry by this point that we just decided to eat ours as is but could not even finish them as it was awful. Now my poor Aunt had to fast for the tests, and we were all up early and out the door rushing around to care for her and get her to the hospital safely. Nobody had the opportunity to eat prior so we were all starved. Yet, we could not eat. Not one of us could finish our breakfast that we waited so long for. My Aunt asked the waitress if they were going to knock something off the bill for having to wait so long. The waitress stated she could give her a senior citizens discount but that was all her manager would allow her to do. I realize it is quite obvious these days that my Aunt is a senior citizen but it was still a put off way to say it. Almost like adding insult to injury. My Aunt who can't sit too long and is so disabled that it takes 4 of us to transport her, endured all this and never even finished her breakfast. As they microwaved her pancakes to heat them from the Ice strawberries and the pancakes that she had to wait extra for tasted like a sponge from being microwaved. Not edible! My Aunt then asked the waitress to speak to the manager. A woman with different attire came out from the back and told us hastily with an attitude that she took $10.00 of the bill. Mind you the bill was still $58.00 not including the tip for Breakfast! Well over $60.00 and we could not even eat it!!! What a waste! A waste of time and money! The money is not even the point. As we were paying, a man representing himself as a manager then had the nerve to ask us nonchalantly how everything was. My Aunt told him honestly, "awful". He then said that he would give us one free meal on our next visit. My Aunt said, we will never come here again. I helped my Aunt to the car. While my husband was paying for the food that manager had the audacity to ask my husband to leave them a good review. My husband told him that he'd ask his Aunt. So, I felt it necessary on many fronts to write this extremely poor review. Please consider when you are providing service in a restaurant even an IHOP that it may be someone's last meal or first and potentially last time out in while. read more

What a shame. Can't believe how businesses are affected by loss of workers. This IHOP appears only has 2 workers waiting tables. During the very long wait for food you notice just how dirty the place is. The floor besides needing a mop also has pieces of paper littered about. This store really should be closed. I found hair in my hash browns then I found more hair in the new Bach they gave me. The milkshakes made my brother sick.
