I was starving after a beautiful hike to Cougar Hot Springs and didn't want to wait to get into Springfield to eat something. Should we try that random pizza place we saw on the side of the road? The one with the Broasted Chicken sign? Sure. What a funky, quirky, random place to eat lunch but it made for some good memories and filled out stomaches. When you enter you'll see a fish themed bar, a Big Foot themed dining area and another small "Simpsons Museum" room right off of that. We were greeted by a very friendly lady working by herself and ordered a medium Mediterranean pizza. The prices are a little high here but it's understandable considering they are the only restaurant around until you drive 20 more minutes into Springfield. We laughed at the silliness of the large Simpsons characters and posters all around and a HUGE Big Foot statue looming over us. They sell Big Foot shaped cookies and fudge as well. We weren't very impressed with our $2.25 peanut butter cookie but oh well. It was still a good experience. read more

Ike's is awesome! I saw a post on here about the customer service being bad. I couldn't disagree more. It's ran by a guy who works there full time. It's a small outfit with local employees. It's not fast food so expect a wait. They hand roll the pizza crust with each order. I live across the street and go to Ike's often. Still haven't got tired of it yet! After many trips driving past and wondering if the pizza was good, I finally stopped to give it a try. First thought walking in was that it had an interesting interior with a wood workshop feel and a large big foot standing in the dining area. The pizza is reasonably priced with the usual popular toppings to pick from. Overall the pizza crust was nice and crispy, sauce had a good flavor although there was a little less sauce than I usually like. Good amount of cheese and toppings on top which overall made a slightly above average pizza, not the best pizza ever but far from bad. What they did well: pizza. I had to come here because on the way to Bend I always pass this place and it is usually packed. So I figured it must be really good. Overall I was pleased. We got a pepperoni jalapeño pizza. I saw another yelper post a photo of it and it looked good. Definitely reminicient of an Abby's pizza. Areas of improvement: service and price. A large pizza was $28.00. They used a pre-made crust and skimped us on the jalapeños. For the price I would expect quality ingredients proportionally covering the pie. It also took a good ten minutes to get our order together so we could pay. The cook was attentive and started our pizza while we waited to be serviced. Had we waited longer to get our food I would've been more disgruntled. All in all, I'd go there again but there is certainly better elsewhere. read more

We have eaten at Ike's Pizza for many years now. It has changed owners over the years. It's always been expensive but we used to love their pizza so much that we would not mind paying more. We had their pizza recently and feel that its not as good as it used to be. It was not even warm when we picked it up. The employees are not that friendly either. I went to Ike's on 8/17/13 with a rather large group. We ordered several salads and pizzas. I ate the barbecue chicken pizza, but ordered it with no onions. Let me tell you...this is the BEST barbecue chicken pizza that I've ever had! And I've had my share of pizza. This place is about an hour from my house, and I sometimes had driven by, as it is on the way to travel destinations. I am now sorry that I haven't stopped there before. I think it was so good that I would probably drive out of my way directly to Ike's when I get a craving. It was that good. The salads were huge and very fresh. We ordered 2 salads, which fed the 6-7 people at the table. The staff members were friendly and efficient. This is a great place, a bit rustic inside, and a bit out of the way. We stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered the Bigfoot pizza and mozzarella sticks. Both were served fresh, hot and delicious! The place had everything a pizza place should have- big containers of Parmesan cheese, pepper flakes, ranch and of coarse foil for leftovers. The manager is a TYRANT! He was fake nice to customers when facing them but when he had his back to you, he be an absolute monster to his fellow co-workers. He didn't even care that customers could hear every word! Shouting at them to go faster and threatening them even though it was clear that they were already working extremely hard. I understand that rushes can be stressful but that is no excuse to forget that your employees are human! SHAME ON YOU! 2 stars is as high as I can go on Ike's due to the horrible service I experienced there. As soon as I came in the lack of professionalism was apparent. Several groups stood at the counter waiting to order while staff in the kitchen just looked at us awkwardly. Eventually a young girl came to the cash register to take our order. It was her first day, but that is hardly an excuse for the way we were treated. She texted and appeared disinterested while waiting customers stood across the counter from her. I had plenty of time between my friends' order and when I was finally asked about what I'd like to think about my order. I watched the girl get my friend's beer order wrong and heard the bartender complaining about my friend asking for the beer he ordered. So I asked if it would be easier if I ordered my beer at the bar. I went and stood back there for 5 min before giving up and going up front to wait another 15 min to order my beer from her. A beer was poured and the older/bartender lady walked around the restaurant looking for someone else who ordered one. Eventually she gave up and put the beer down on the counter. The girl had moved on to the next customers so I loudly asked if they were going to pour me a beer--at which point they gave me the other guy's. I then waited an hour for my pizza. I went inside and saw my pizza waiting in the outfeed of the oven. After 10 min someone asked if they could help me. I pointed to my pizza and asked for it to go at which point the new girl tried to charge me 0.50$. Another worker said I would not be charged for a to go box since I had to wait so long. I ordered a giant size McKenzie Special for $30. It was good but not worth the headache. ... Or $30... What pizza is? Though I agreed to pay that up front so I can't complain. read more

I've normally had a good experience here but lately the customer service sucks and the owner doesn't care to improve it at all. The owner sits back and watches the cameras as she lets a bunch of rude, selfish people run the place. They close at 8 which seems crazy because everytime I have been there close to 8 a ton of people stop in and the employees seem super put out that they are getting extra business. You'd think since they get very little business during the day that they would welcome that extra business. The vibe is yucky. My mom has lived close by since 2013 and ever since then, the welcoming atmosphere of that place has diminished. This place offers the best damn pizza I have ever tasted, and you gotta trust an Italian from New Jersey on this one. My friends and I ordered the fried ravioli and were very disappointed with a whole count of 4 ravs. We kinda thought we might be stiffed because of our smelly sulfur odor (we had just soaked in hot springs for hours) which doesn't speak so highly for the semi-rude service from the female employee. The folks at Ike's Lakeside Pizza make it right. Starting off with a great selection of pizza choices along with an outstanding selection of micro brews! Ninkasi is one of my favorites. All of the people are friendly and will greet you with a smile. It's located on Hwy 126 about a mile west of Vida, Oregon, which is really just a wide spot along the road! This place has changed over the years, I don't know how many different owners or operators there have been. This last experience was a call in order and it wasn't close to ready when they said (not to big of a deal for me). We were charged 3 times for our meal. My husband is now driving to Ike's Pizza for the second time today because Betty, the owner could not solve the issue over the phone. When he went to Ike's earlier today he was told that he needed to talk to the owner, Betty. This is a mediocre pizza at best and you do need to be prepared to wait even when there's hardly anyone in the restaurant. When we've eaten there, I've preferred to sit outside. I had eaten at Ike's two previous times and wasn't impressed, but it was over 20 years ago and because I live only 2 miles away and needed the convenience, I gave it another try. One small cheese 10 inch pizza and one 4 topping 14 inch pizza was over 40 dollars so I admit I was a little angry even before eating it. If it was good I would have still been disappointed with the prices. Well in addition to my disappointment with the cost, I was also shocked at how truly awful their pizza is. The crust is really thin and I would bet that it is pre-made and not from fresh dough. The texture is like cardboard has me believing they are pre-frozen. Also they scrimp so much on the pizza sauce that you actually cannot see any red on the pizza. There is a hint of tomato paste but nothing more. I had heard that they changed owners more than a couple times so was hoping their food was improved but it was actually worse than what I remember. Yes I am a local to this area and a sucker for coming back. I doubt even any starving travelers passing by would ever return to Ike's a second time. We stopped at Ike's on the way back from Sisters. I had read some Yelp reviews, and was a bit leery about trying it again, as it sounded like it had gone a bit downhill over the last couple of years since I'd been there. I'm thrilled to say I shouldn't have been worried about a thing. The service was prompt and courteous, and our pizza was amazing. Hot, fresh and loaded with cheese; we had half an Iket and half Chicken Ranch, and I highly recommend both. I asked for a side of ranch, and received an entire bottle...now that's service! :) So glad Ike's remains a fixture in Vida. read more
