Mini pizza with feta, Kalamata olives and mushrooms

I have an allergy and they were very careful to ensure the kitchen did not cut the ingredients of my pizza with my allergens. Service was fast and friendly. Pizzas were tasty. Iced tea was really freshly brewed.

Really enjoyed coming here for dinner when I was staying at an Airbnb near the Cougar Hot Springs. The staff were very friendly with lots of charming Christmas decor! I also really enjoyed my food which was a BLT on focaccia bread. There was a variety of side options but opted for tator tots. Definitely recommend eating here and checking out the gift shop!

Very much a local gem loved by many! During my visit to Oregon, this spot was probably my most memorable dining experience. We sat outside because it was nice out, but the inside was very cozy. For food, I tried the prime rib daily special, marionberry cobbler, and a combination pizza to-go. Everything was pretty good! I will say the prime rib was more of a beef stroganoff which was a little disappointing, but it was a comforting meal and rather filling. Couldn't leave Oregon without trying marionberry, so I got the cobbler! I liked the vanilla ice cream and the warm, sweet, and tart cobbler. It was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste. The combination pizza was delicious and held up well for takeout! This is a family owned restaurant that's been open for quite a while now. I was lucky enough to meet one of the owners! She was so sweet and personable. Everyone who served or interacted with us were nothing but nice. Such a wonderful spot!

My only complaint about Takoda's is that I didn't discover it sooner! I've driven by it a million times and never stopped. I'm not even sure where I saw it talked about recently, but I wanted something different than Ike's Pizza on my way up the McKenzie. My husband and I stopped in here last night on our way back from Sahalie Falls. Side note, it was still snowed in and we couldn't stop. So we turned around and headed to Takoda's to grab dinner. We were immediately greeted and given the choice to sit inside or outside. I'm sooooo glad we picked outside because it was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect. It was such a relaxing dinner. Our server, I didn't get her name, was fabulous. Super friendly and attentive. Checked on us at all the right intervals, and made sure we had everything. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start with, I had the prime rib French dip, and my husband had the Sasquatch burger. I may never poop again from the sheer volume of cheese I ate, but I can live with that because it was so delicious. My sandwich had the most amazingly well toasted bread, so it soaked up all the delicious au jus when dipped. My husband's burger was over cooked for my taste, but he didn't request a specific temperature on it, and their menu says they go for medium-medium well unless otherwise specified. But the fried egg on it was legit. The yolk was perfectly runny. I'll be the first to admit that I judge every restaurant on their French dip sandwiches and how well they cook an egg on a burger. And I am always irritated if either is less than perfect. I was so happy that both were completely perfect here. Add in the perfect scenery, and it made for the most amazing and relaxing dinner I've had in a very long time. Would I return? Yes, yes, and most definitely yes! I'm already looking forward to going back. Plus, since Sahalie Falls was snowed in, I have a reason to go. I'm still just irritated that I hadn't taken the time to stop in here before. But I'll make up for that with return visits.

Post Covid menu is back in action, which means they have my beloved Mac and cheese again. This is my favorite thing in the menu and I get it once a trip. This time they had marionberry cobbler for dessert. Marionberries were fresh and delicious. The cobbler was more like a cake though (no crumble insight). Overall still good! For lunch I also enjoy the tuna melt, which is simple but hearty. Service is still very good. One complaint/request - pleeaaaase bring back breakfast!!!!!

Lots of great beers on tap! The pizza was great. I ordered the garden but added green peppers, regular tomatoes and mushrooms. The crust was very tasty. Other items at our table were Shepard s Pie (yum) and a turkey sandwich (yum). The highlight was the marrionberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. The patio is lovely....with a waterfall and pond. I also loved the little shop upstairs.

One of my absolute favorites spots. I love the lodge feel and the food is fantastic. The service is spot on and being out on the McKenzie is epic. Especially with a boat of the best Macaroni and Cheese, ever...and a Chocolate Porter. I always come back.

I can't for sure say but when we were ordering at the bar the staff was trying to figure out the system and it took a while then by the end I had to remind them to poor our beers. The prices are quit expensive a smash burger for $18 for example and 12 wings for $24. The smash burger was about the size of an in and out burger and was very dry, and honestly not a smash burger. They did have it encrusted in cheese I think but it was hard to tell. I choose fries for my side and asked if they offered Cajun and they said yes. Look at my picture and see if you can find any Cajun. Very light dusting. Not surprising when those making your food are high school kids. Sadly the bummer part was we are got so few fries. The order was messed up a bit in how it was delivered not a big deal but when we bit into the avacado for the avocado burger it was literally hard avocado. Not sure how you even serve it but again see above comment. There was inside and outside seating so that part was good but not a lot of ambiance. I literally broke out laughing when the delivered the wings as on the menu it says comes with carrots. Well that is true not sure what I'm suppose to do with shaved carrots? Maybe I should have asked for some ranch and turn it into a carrot salad. I guess in the end you eat there if you're golfing and hungry. Otherwise don't make the trip on the food occasion.

The table was filled with breakfast favorites. We ordered hotcakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and huevos rancheros. Our server was fun and easy to chat with, which added to the relaxed feel of the morning. Nobody rushed us, and breakfast with friends is one of those things that shouldn't be rushed. Will we be back? Probably. Cottonwood Cafe feels like a place where locals and visitors can both feel at home, and it was a nice way to wrap up another great trip to Sisters. After we sat down and started looking over the menu, our very friendly server came to take our order. Before she did, she apologized and told us she had some bad news--they were out of a few items. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a few things; it was almost the entire menu. They were out of bread, buns, and lettuce, along with several sandwiches, including the Reuben. She even asked if we wanted to stay given how many items were unavailable. I had been looking forward to their amazing smash burger, but since they were out of buns, that wasn't an option. Instead, I ordered a parfait bowl with a side of potatoes, and my mother ordered the buttermilk pancakes. This situation is unfortunate not only for the customers, but also for the servers, who are left trying to provide good service despite having so many menu items unavailable. Sadly, this experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.

We enjoyed it the first time, but this visit really confirmed that it's one of our favorite places to eat when we're here. The lakeside setting is beautiful and relaxing, and the restaurant itself is much larger than it appears from the outside. Even when it's busy, it never feels crowded or rushed. Between the six of us, we ordered the chili verde, Mandarin chicken salad, Margherita pizza, BBR BLTA, cheeseburger, and turkey sandwich. Everyone genuinely enjoyed their meal. In fact, there wasn't a single dish that drew anything less than an enthusiastic thumbs up from around the table. One thing I like about Lakeside Bistro is that it's more than just a restaurant.
