I went back for a second time in 2 days. to be honest, i think it's hard to find bad food in this region of Italy. The place is low key and has outdoor seating that looks up to a 300 year old church which frequently hosts weddings in the spring and summer. Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating faces a busy road so it was noisy but the trade off is that church. The owner (Franco) is enthusiastic, speaks some English, great host. Food is excellent, well proportioned. We had the ravioli both days, the zucchini pasta in light white sauce one time. Also ordered a simple pizza to take home as I dined alone on the second night. I can't get enough of that ravioli. Costs are reasonable, about 6 euro for the pizza, 11 ish euro for the ravioli and zucchini pasta. Highly advise if you are in the Sorrento area.

This is right next to one of many churches in Sant' Agnello/Sorrento. Offers outside seating to n the shade. Variety of menu choices for all. Francisco was lovely to take care of us. He speaks English, which was a benefit to my very limited Italian. We only had lunch and our mixed salad with tuna was a decent size portion. And the typical limoncello was included before we could pay our bill. Credit cards/cash accepted.

Great, quick, and delicious. Definitely go for one of the specials, you won't regret it.

We did like the meat and cheese appetizer. The pastas were not good- the lemon pasta was so buttery and oily. The spaghetti was average.

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. I will say that the crab was a lot of work, it was also a delicious crab. The squid ink pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.

We stumbled in after some late nights out, and it was a total lifesaver, open until 3-4am when basically nothing else happened in town is. Honestly, it turned out to be some of the best pizza I've had in my life. Maybe it was the drinks talking, but I don't think so. We went back two nights in a row just to be sure. First night I had the Diavolo pizza spicy, crispy, perfectly balanced. Second night I tried the Cacio e Pepe pizza, which was rich and cheesy in the best way possible. Both were phenomenal. The vibe is awesome too. Inside feels almost like a big beer hall with tons of energy, while outside has more of a casual café feel. Even at 2-3 in the morning, the staff was super attentive and chill. We even had a bottle of wine with our pizzas one night, which made for the perfect nightcap. If you're in Sorrento and find yourself out late, or even if you're just craving amazing pizza, DeFranco is an absolute must. One of the greatest finds I've come across anywhere.

To start, we had burrata, bruschetta and mixed salad. All were good. The salad was fresh and crunchy (with lettuce, fennel, radicchio, carrot in a light vinaigrette). The sun-dried tomato bruschetta was delicious (with soft cheese, drizzled with honey). The burrata was also amazing (tomatoes tossed in police oil and salt, surrounding a fresh creamy burrata). We had pastas (gnocchi and ravioli fungi) and chicken. I had the ravioli, which was delicate and scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though the chicken was very simple. Finally the service! We were greeted with warmth and the service right through was perfect. Thank you!

I like how staff stays by the door to welcome people in, but they don't badger people on the sidewalk to come in like other places. We're thinking of going back even though we only have a night or two left in Sorrento, it was just that good!
