    Bloody Mary
    Jessica Y.

The cutest outdoor patio area and it's shaded with their awning. The ambiance is way better outside for a summer day or evening. We came for brunch right when they opened at 11am. I ordered the BLT with fries and a Bloody Mary. The bread on the BLT was very good and they use a thick cut of bacon. The Bloody Mary was just ok. Not sure if they make their own bloody mix or not, but it was a bit watery. I would come back for the ambiance and the food was liked by everyone!

The Edison Butter Burger , love bug speciality martini , Cacio E Pepe

Very nice dimly lit establishment. The workers were very nice and efficient on a busy holiday. We arrived late for our reservation and ordered a but late but they gladly accommodated. My friend had the Edison burger which she loved. I had the cacio e pepe which I've heard great things about, but I fear it lacked a bit of flavor for me but it sufficed. Overall it was nice, we both had a specialty holiday cocktail, a love bug martini which was very strong. Overall it was a nice experience though the menu is a bit limited to me, it has something for most!

    Seasonal Sangria

I'm not usually a fan of establishments that have an "everything" menu, meaning they don't specialize in 1 particular genre, but The Edison is the exception. The seasonal sangria was fresh tasting with forward notes of cherry. We started with the truffle cheese dip which was decadent. The pigs jb a blanket were nostalgic! The ahi aka yellowfin was served perfectly rare, the farro was such a great change up than the usual rice dishes. The pistachios were whole & a bit much, but they were easily omitted. The skillet cookie was the star of the show! Perfectly warm served with classic vanilla ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, our waitress was kind, knowledgeable, and did not make us feel rushed to order or leave while we were yapping. Looking forward to going back & trying more menu items!

First time back into the Edison in maybe 2+ years, and I forgot how wonderful of a venue it is! Atmosphere is so welcoming, love the decor, furniture, and whole vibe really. We came for my sis-in-law's birthday with a group of 12 girls for brunch. Making a reservation seemed like a no-brainer but brunch in the Third Ward is always packed. To our surprise though, this place was close to empty at 11am on a Sunday! I'll say, it is a little more of an upscale-vibe so it does differ a bit from other brunch spots near by. We were promptly seated at a long front table next to the big windows that let lots of natural light in. The table was wonderfully set with plateware, folded napkins, various pieces of cutlery laid out at each spot, along with the menu. After a few minutes we were greeted by our server, who was indeed friendly and very accomodating with check-splitting. At this time, only about half of our party had arrived but we started to put some drink orders in while we waited. The cocktail list has so many great options on it that it was tough to decide! Among all of us, a variety of types were ordered and all thoroughly enjoyed. The Boomin' N' Bloomin' was my fave, as I'm a gin fan. It was a pretty mix of Hendrick's Grand Cabaret, lavender syrup, lemon and mint. However, it took quite a long while for the drinks to make it to our table. Food was the same, which was probably the one stand out bummer part of the experience: despite the restaurant having very minimal guests, service was pretty darn slow. By the time we left we were all surprised by how long we were actually in there. Luckily it's an enjoyable place to be! The table-shared truffle fried were sooo yummy. Swear I could eat a platter on my own. They were doused in parmesan and came with the best ever black garlic aioli. For my main, I went with the squash salad and added seared tuna... 10/10 would order again! Salads can be hit-or-miss when eatting out but this one has all the right ingredients and flavors- roasted squash that was almost melt-in-your-mouth, mustard greens, pepitas, manchego, and a tasty brown sugar vinaigrette. Also thought the tuna was well-prepared. Overall was delighted by the food and drink options, and the ambiance is to be enjoyed for sure.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the experience was extra special! We were greeted with a card signed by the staff and served complimentary champagne. The service was truly exceptional and the food was delicious.

My friend and I stopped in for dinner and reserved a table on Open Table. We were seated pretty much as soon as we arrived. Currently, the whole restaurant is decorated in an elegant Christmas theme. Lots of warm fairy lights and Christmas ornaments. Alex was our server and was amazing. Tentative throughout our dining experience, made sure we always had what we needed, and made some recommendations. He was funny and made the overall experience enjoyable. For appetizers, we ordered the mussels and the baked truffled cheese spread. Both apps come with a mini bread sliced into bite sizes pieces, the bread was a bit tough to tear apart from the pre-sliced cuts but managable. The truffle cheese spread was amazing! We wished we had more bread to spread the truffle cheese on. The Mussels were also good. They were pretty small though. We did some big back activity, where we spread the truffle cheese onto a piece of bread and added the mussels on top, it was an insanely amazing combo, definitely recommend. (Props to my friend for the amazing idea). For drinks we ordered the Grapefruit Grandeur and the Edison Old Fashioned. The Grapefruit Grandeur was simple and if you aren't a fan of tasting the alcohol in drinks, this is the drink for you. For our main course, we both got the Steak Frites cooked medium. The steak was a bit salty, but I personally like my steaks a bit on the salter side, so I didn't mind it too much. The truffle butter on top of the steak pieces were fluffy and light, but was a bit much with some bites. The truffle fries were amazing. I'm a big fan of super skinny fries. Overall, an amazing experience, I look forward to coming back an trying some of their other items.

Dog menu - chicken breast and snap peas
    Nicole L.

We came by on Sunday night for dinner and sat on the patio with our pup. Immediately loved the patio - very nice, big, fully covered and nicely decorated/flowers and comfortable chairs. We ordered drinks and apps and a chicken dinner from the dog menu for our pup. Waited a bit for the things to arrive. We then ordered entrees and my husband ordered a second drink. This time food came out faster and I ordered a second drink at that point. The wait after that went on a LONG time. We finished our food completely before our waiter came back to let me know my wine would be coming soon in a carafe. I said I didn't need it anymore since we finished everything. Just a box and a check. There were only a few other tables occupied out there and I noticed one sat down shortly after us and no one came over and they got up and left. And the two others had to go inside and/or flag down someone to try and get a bill. I assume from seeing everyone go inside to dine it was a lot busier in there and the patio was kind of forgotten. But I will say the food was delicious! We got the pigs in a blanket and the truffle cheese sticks. Cacio e Pepe and steak frites and everything tasted wonderful. Service was definitely slow but food made up for it. Maybe a busier night than they expected and we would definitely give it another go next time we come to town!

The Edison Butter Burger and hot fries
    Greer J.

We happened to decide to try The Edison during restaurant week. And I was tired, so my healthy eating coach was offline. I picked the upscale comfort foods on the menu. First, they are fast! The Truffle Cheese sticks came first, hot and melty. My spouse agreed they were the best in memory. Next, came the tea. Served the way tea is best served, with the teabag already steeping in the hot water. Then came the Butter Burger and fries. The fries were served hot, the way fries are meant to be served, the way my fries seldom arrive on my plate to the table. The burger was fine. I just don't eat beef often. My preference is the walnut smash burger a parking lot over from The Edison. The flourless chocolate cake is likely a chocolate lover's dream and it was rich. Overall service that complimented the meal and a very pleasant dining experience . I recommend as classy date spot with a smooth ambience.

    Steak Frites
    Celeste M.

The ambiance is nice and the booth we sat in was great. All I have to say is the Parmesan truffle fries at 5/5. The other dishes the Wagyu, steak frites, and beef short rib were all maybe 3.5/5. The whipped honey rolls were pretty strange with the citrus when we were expecting more of a sweet butter vs the cream we got. Service was good, but wouldn't rush to come back here.

    Lavender mocktail
    Kelsie R.

I enjoyed the Edison. It had a really classy vibe and great service. Our food was good, but I thought the menu was small and my mocktail was not my favorite. Tried: wagyu pretzel dogs, truffle cheese dip, ceasar salad with grilled chicken Loved: the truffle cheese dip was fantastic!

    Butterflied fish
    Jack D.

My family went here to celebrate my graduation! The location in the third ward is unbeatable and has the greatest vibes. The ambience was fun. The interior is dimly lit, but contributes to the moody vibe. The food was delicious. I had the butterflied fish (i forget the actual name) and the portion sizes were big. Overall really good experience!

    House salad with ahi tuna
    Ellie B.

Fantastic service, ambiance, and food at the Edison for dinner! Madison was our friendly and attentive server and she was very helpful when we had questions and choices to make. We shared the wagyu pigs in a blanket and the truffle cheese spread - both delicious. I ordered the house salad and added ahi tuna and it was excellent. It's a large portion, perfect for an entree and I even had some leftovers for lunch the next day. I also tried the beef short rib and that was heavenly and perfectly done. For dessert we shared the skillet cookie, rum cake, and flourless chocolate cake. These were all wonderful, too. I felt like the rum cake would do The Great British Baking Show proud - the cake was baked to perfection.

Stopped in for lunch for my and my wife's birthdays. We made a reservation via Open Table and were seated on time. Parking took a few minutes to find a spot, so plan accordingly. The host and server acknowledged our birthdays (indicated on the reservation) and we got a once card signed by the staff as well as choice of champagne or chocolate cake. We got the cake and it was delicious! I had the Ahi Tuna sandwich with fries and it was delicious and very filling. The sauce was the star of the dish. For drink I chose the brandy shrub which was sweet and smooth.
