We were lucky to get a table without a reservation--seems it's easier to snag one inside than outside. The Tuscan food was delicious overall. The bread was okay; I've had better focaccia, but the fresh, made-to-order pastas were absolutely scrumptious. The wine paired nicely with the meal. We were too full for dessert, but they brought out complimentary biscotti, which was just the right amount of sweet. Service was prompt and attentive. If you're in the Trevi area, it's definitely worth checking out!

We stopped by for lunch after walking tour of Rome. We decided to eat inside as there was pretty much no tables available outside and there was a possibility of a rain - and I was very happy about this as ambiance was great and I had a pleasure looking at wine bottles while eating :). I had a wonderful glass of Vermentino with my meal. I had gorgonzola pear salad as my lunch dish, and it was delicious. Everybody else had pizzas and they were superb - thin crust, perfectly charred and delicious, including mortadella pizza. Excellent service - prompt, friendly, attentive. Highly recommended.

It was alright. Out of all the places around the Trevi area of Rome, this is probably the most legit. So many spots are straight up tourist traps charging astronomical prices for mediocre "Italian" food. Il Chianti is good. It's a little more expensive but at least it's good. There was a line outside when we arrived but it moved quickly. We were seated on the patio and service was fairly quick. We got the prosciutto e melone to share. The melon was so tender and juicy. The prosciutto wasn't the best ever but the flavors still went nicely together. I got the cacio e pepe and it was yummy. The spaghetti noodles are very thick. This surprised us. Is it a Roman thing? Not sure, the other places we ate in Rome didn't have spaghetti like that. My sister, who had been spoiled by Bolognese cuisine for the past six months, wasn't very impressed with her food. Overall, we felt everything was just pretty good. We would've stayed for dessert had there not been a man sitting right next to us blowing cigarette smoke straight into my face while we were eating. When in Rome, I guess...

We had such a lovely dinner here after a one hour wait (this place was very popular, highly recommend making reservations). We were sat outside and were served by Elida. The ambience was intimate and inviting, somewhat casual. We ordered the filet and almond roasted chicken. One of the best chicken breast, I have ever had. It was juicy, tender and full of flavor. My husband and I are both lactose intolerant and there were very accommodating. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the main dishes just the dessert.

My husband and I ordered the same meals, chicken and salad, both were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance was charming and cheerful. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

The food was excellent! It was recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. Visiting Italy for the first time. It was a real treat!!

So based on Yelp we picked this spot out of many options in the area that all seemed catered to tourists aka mediocre. Perhaps we caught them at the end of the night, we sat down at 11pm on Wed night, the outdoor area was packed, and were told - very nicely - that we had a few min to order pasta or meat dishes. So we ordered the pappardelle with boar ragout and the beef medallions. The pappardelle was quite good EXCEPT what inspired me to write this review... there were full black peppercorns (!) throughout the dish. Which just makes no sense. Have eaten this dish many times in many places (including all over Tuscany), never once had the dish bombed by such a strong counter flavor. ‍‍. (We picked them out best as we could and ate the pasta somehow as it was good...yet I just can't forgive them 'corns!!) The beef medallions were totally ordinary and forgettable. Great wine selection helped. Our waiter was friendly and on point. FWIW the pizzas we saw looked (much) better. I just wish the Yelp rating was closer to 3-3.5 stars so I could go back in time and pick another place. ;)

Had an amazing dinner here. I thought it would be touristy since it was so close to Trevi Fountain, and while it was certainly a popular place for tourists, it was some of the best food we had on our trip. We started with the cheese and jam. It was similar to a Brie, but with a different taste. It was really good. The truffle pasta was delicious and the spinach and ricotta raviolis were out of this world. Service was great as well. Overall really great meal!

Such a disappointment. We expected pasta and pizza in Rome to be amazing almost anywhere... especially somewhere with 4.5 Yelp stars. But this was a huge mistake. We arrived at 11.40 and were 2nd in line... minus being cutoff by a horribly rude French woman and her husband... we were excited to grab a table outside a little after 12.00. We were then completely ignored. It took 12.20 until someone asked us for our drink + appetizer order and another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive and another 40 minutes for the cold cheese/meats to arrive. Other tables completed their meals before we could even order our entrees. When we did order 2 pasta dishes and a bacon pizza it took another 50 minutes to be delivered. And it was awful. The pizza was shredded cheese and strips of undercooked bacon. There was absolutely no color on the crust. The pasta had no flavor. Traveled 3000 miles expecting amazing and instead had the worse meal of the whole trip.

Although we didn't have a reservation we got a table right away outside. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, clean and chic. Perfect location!! I had the pasta, it was okay but it lacked a little flavor. The pizza was good, better than the pasta. I don't think we will be back.

We were at TRevi Fountain and needed dinner so decided to check this out because of great reviews! So glad we did. We hit that sweet spot between and of luch and beginning of dinner and got a seat immediately. If going for dinner, I suggest reservations or be preparred to wait! We shared Pasta Carbonara and a pizza. The food was amazing! of course you have to have the Aperol spritzer! The house red wine is excellant also! Wish we had more days so I could have returned! Highly recommend

    Aperol Spritz!! Delish.

Nixed tucked into a corner restaurant with great ravioli and tiramisu. The prices are ver treasonable and the meatballs are awesome.

The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.

I ordered a split of Bolero even though it's hot, I wanted it with my gnocchi with black truffles. The gnocchi and the wine were both delicious. I also had ordered a salad to start. When they brought out my salad, it was huge and I remarked about how big it was and he said oh would you like a smaller one and I said, yes please. I hadn't even touched the bowl. A few minutes later, he brought a much smaller much better sized bowl filled with crunchy radicchio, carrots, arugula, and other nice veggies. I was grateful because I couldn't even finish that one. There's no way I could've done the large one. The service was excellent. They were very kind and courteous, and went out of their way to be helpful more than once . As I was leaving it was pouring rain. My waiter didn't want me to go out into the rain without an umbrella and I said I was fine and I laughed that I wasn't made of sugar, most could attest to that.
