This place is a hidden gem. Everything is Halal. This is a Chinese Korean restaurant. The seafood cold noodles was very interesting. I have never had it before. It is a very hearty and filling dish. I loved the dumplings and the beef brisket with rice.. and of course from a Korean classic jajangmyeon - it is a noodle dish topped with savory black, bean sauce, pork and vegetables! They also just came up with new fruit-ade drinks! Perfect for Summer and the spicy dishes! I tried the mango and lychee flavors so good!! Plenty of parking and super clean restaurant ,highly recommended!

My friend and I tried this spot for the first time today. The portions were just right for the two of us. Most of the dishes were very good but some lacked flavor and were a bit bland. Our waiters were very courteous and helpful. Overall it was a nice first time.

Authentic Korean noodles are hard to find, but Hao by Haoru is as close as it gets. We got the Seafood Gan Ja Jang (JaJang noodles with seafood instead of pork), the veggie Mapu Tofu, and a fried rice/Jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) combo. Plenty of food to go around! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the toppings added great flavor. The JaJang was deep and earthy and the Jampong was spicy and flavorful. Definitely on our go-to list for authentic noodles, this place might even make we *want* to visit Fairfax just to eat. If you haven't tried Hao, get out there, and you'll be glad you did!

I went here with my friends to try the AYCE dinner on a weekend. Firstly, the place looks great and welcoming. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. There are two options for the AYCE - we picked Option A which is slightly cheaper than Option B. Option A included Fried Rice, Ja Jang Myeon, Lo Mein, Tang Su Yuk, and Spring roll. I can tell that everything it made fresh so it can take a while before a refill arrives. The dishes were good and decent. The portions were small - but you can always order more. The food quality is decent and the dish options were a little limited but a good option for groups and you want to try a little bit of everything. I would probably go back to try the ala carte next time.

Stopped by after son's baseball game in the area. What a great place to celebrate a big win with some deliciousness! Right upon entry, we were greeted with a warm smile and seated instantly. The lighting was very bright and the place was very clean. We opted for the Combo B Fried Rice & Jjam Pong and the Hao Ja Jang Myeon, which came highly recommended by the server. Both dishes were prepared fresh and very tasty! Parking was plentiful as it is shared with all the businesses in the center. They do have a great AYCE options, which we have on our radar for our next visit. Enjoy!

You can tell real care goes into both the food and the guest experience at Hao by Haoru. If you're a fan of Korean-Chinese cuisine or trying it for the first time, Hao is a must-visit! The overall restaurant is modern, clean, and welcoming. I think it would truly make for a great spot for both casual dinners and group outings. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to explain dishes, which really elevated my overall experience! As for my meal, it was my first time trying yoo rin gi and it completely won me over! The fried chicken was perfectly crispy with a savory sauce. Another very crispy and light item were the veggie spring rolls, which tasted great with the dipping sauce. The oyster jjamppong was rich and flavorful, while the seafood jajangmyeon was hearty and full of toppings. The cream lemon shrimp was comforting and the crab egg drop soup was silky and warming. Lastly, my favorite were the fried dumplings, which I was told are made with house-made wrappers and filling! They were THE BEST fried dumplings I've had! Every bite of my meal was delicious, especially paired with ice-cold Terra which tied everything together perfectly! I would highly recommend checking out Hao by Haoru!

I tried their ayce lunch menu - such a good deal! They make everything to order, so your food comes out hot and freshly made. I LOVED the kkanpungi (super flavorful), jjampong (can really taste the wok fire), and tangsuyuk (i like dipping the meat into the sauce separately so it stays crispy). The fried rice and lo mein noodles were also really tasty! The interior was very clean, modern looking, and spacious. It's definitely a great spot to come to with a large group! The food came out quickly and service was great :)

Tried this Chinese restaurant because it advertised itself as Halal, so I was definitely surprised to see pork on the menu. That was a little confusing, but overall the food was actually really good. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the biggest surprise was that my kids cleaned their plates completely -- and they are usually very picky eaters.

The Khan Poong Dumplings were good--very doughy and fried with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce on top. Everything else was pretty bland in my honest opinion. The Han Special seafood noodle had very little seafood, but the noodle had a good wok hei flavor. Crab Meat Egg drop soup was imitation crab and looks like it was just plopped in to the base. My friends egg drop was thicker than my egg drop. The fried rice combination came with black bean sauce and soup. The fried rice was better without the black bean sauce. Overall, I wasn't impressed by most of Korean Chinese combination dishes. However, it was LARGE portions and made me full, so there's that.

I was finally able to make a visit along with my brother to this unique restaurant called Hao by Haoru which serves Korean ànd Chinese dishes. As you walked in, the restaurant is clean with a modern look and the atmosphere is comfortable. There's two options to choose from either À ($22.99) or B ($34.99) during M-F. On the weekend, À ($24.99) or B ($36.99) ànd this place is AYCE. If you select Option B then you also get Option A too. You also have the option to choose à la carte items from the rest of their menu but they are not AYCE. Since they serve dishes tapa style, I wasn't sure how big the plates were so I chose Option A. I chose every single item which includes Jajang myeon, jjam pong, fried rice, lo mein, mapo tofu, tang su yuk, khan poong Sal, spring rolls, yoo rin gi. The highlights on my trip were Jajang myeon which is a pork, vegetable, noodle dish served with a thick dark black bean sauce. This dish I really enjoy because the noodles were chewy with the right consistency and the flavors were on point. After you take a bite of the noodles followed it with the yellow pickled radish, that's a perfect combination. The fried rice was light, simple and not drown in soy sauce but yet with a hint of sesame oil. It was delicious as well. The khan poong sal which is a deep fried sweet and spicy chicken served with sauté dry hot peppers. And the fried spring roll had a light crispy wrapper filled with vegetables, served with two pieces ànd sweet dipping sauce. Whatever you do, keep the sweet and sour sauce from the tang su yuk which is a deep fried pork strips. That sweet and sour sauce had an enriched deep flavor that I never experienced before. It was made with Korean love. Though these dishes were serve tapa style, they are big enough to cover 2-3 people. Though the hours states the restaurant closes at 9:30p, the kitchen closes at 8:30p so make sure you get order in. I had excellent service by my server named Sam, he was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I will make a return visit to try other items on their menu.

Got the jajangmyun & tang su yuk combo and it was pretty good in flavor. The tang su yuk was pretty crispy and not too hard. The server was also very friendly and kept checking up on us.

New Korean Chinese place that opened up in Fairfax. I've tried their Centreville location, also good. I would say maybe portion sizes here a bit smaller though. Overall attentive service and good quality food from my experience. Can't really take advantage of the AYCE though bc it's only during lunchtime during the weekdays.

The standout for me was the cumin fish. It was fried perfectly--crispy without being greasy--and the cumin added great flavor without overpowering the dish. The crispy pork ribs lived up to their name and had a nice kick of spice. The cucumber salad packed a serious garlic punch, which I really enjoyed. The Hot & Numbing Tofu Skin was something completely different from what I expected. It's sliced into long ribbons that resemble noodles or pasta. The flavor was excellent, although the texture took some getting used to. The only dish that fell a little short was the stir-fried beef tenderloin, which could have used a bit more seasoning. Everything else was delicious. The portions are enormous. At first the prices seemed a little high, but once the food arrived it made perfect sense. Every entrée was easily enough for two meals. One thing to keep in mind is that rice is ordered separately and isn't included with the entrées. Service was excellent throughout our meal. We arrived for lunch and didn't realize they close between lunch and dinner (lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). We ended up staying until about 2:45, and the staff never made us feel rushed even though they had technically closed. They greeted us promptly, took our drink orders, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu without hovering. The restaurant is tucked away on the ground floor of an office building, so it's easy to drive right past if you aren't looking for it. The place was filling up and the ambiance reminds me of a traditional bustling noodle house - perfect for the cold snap we were experiencing at the time. We got hot and sour noodle soup, sichuan beef noodle soup, and an order of their pork soup dumplings. Portions are generous and prices are fair, it's easy to become a regular here if you live nearby. The hot and sour noodle soup is as advertised - just enough spice to complement the sour, but not overwhelm to make it feel like mala. It's served, as expected, with glass noodles, some bak choi, and some pork slices. Nothing spectacular but par for the course. The sichuan beef noodle foon soup was slight notch better. The broth gives really warm vibe and you can tell it's been brothing for a long time. Again just the right amount of spicy to make you keep slurping for more. The noodles were average, chewy, but not bouncy. Also comes with a healthy amount beef slices and bak choi. Again - a great noodle soup bowl but nothing jaw dropping. Soup dumplings were fantastic, however. The pork definitely has its own marinade and the soup is flavorful. The dumpling skin is well constructed and complemented well with the noodle soups - especially in cold weather. tldr; solid noodle soup spot, they seem to be consistent and really hits the mark when you're in a for your noodle fix. Soup dumplings are probably a must get side dish with whatever your main is
