It is kind of time to update since it's been seven years. It's no longer that tiny, crowded taproom. Now it's a tap SPACE. Big, roomy, patios with fire pits. Food trucks. Still crowded parking. Several TVs are along the walls, and they're always hosting events, groups, and trivia. I've been coming here for seven years, and watched their beers go from "we have some solid recipes" to "we are trying some things" and they have a nice stable of locals. As someone that prefers the "out there" beers, they keep things a little different so nothing feels like a "stock" beer here. Come for a game, grab a pint, chill by the fire, and grab a bite from the food truck. They have you covered.

One of my favorite small breweries. I come back over and over for the darker beers, but they have a nice variety for everyone. They will let you sample until you find the perfect beer for you. I love how friendly the staff is and that it's never too loud. They have plenty of TVs to watch sports both inside and outside. The fire pit is great for chilly days. You're welcome to bring your own food in. It's close to several great restaurants that will also deliver. Trivia on Tuesdays! My other favorite thing is that they support many other small local businesses. They collaborate with delicious food trucks, as well as offer special beer pairings with places like The Cheesecake Girl.

The Cow Quake was delicious and they have some really great outdoor seating for a beautiful day! Also a Browns Backer bar, so we got to watch a bit of the game as well.

Ill Mannered Brewing is another central Ohio brewery. It's been around awhile and recently moved into a bigger place. One thing that hasn't changed are that the beers are good. It has room to expand its draft list. They look to be starting more beers next year. It had operated in a small facility in a strip mall. It didn't have much to hang around in. That's been remedied with the move to the bigger facility. It's literally a couple hundred feet away. The new place is impressive. It has a modern looking bar. The interior is metallic and white. I had the Ill Manna Cranda. It's about $6 for a pint. This isn't sweet like you may think. It has a light fruity taste with a bit of bite. The fruit makes it not as hoppy. It has taken a big step in the competition. It has one of the impressive taprooms around. They often have a food truck with something like barbecue usually.

The staff of this suburban micro is not rude, even if their Covid precautionary measures is a little confusing. They warmly directed us through the rope up to their makeshift ordering window with cute giggles and smiles. So, no boorish behavior here, but the beer is damn right beautifully brutish. Ill Manner, founded in 2015, is on the curve of Grace Drive, Powell in a 3,000 sg/ft beer garden recently constructed where they have moved to from the small strip mall space to its west. Of course, because of the unmannerly bug running amuck, inside seating is not available. Instead they have courteously supplied outside seating for about 80 people, with picnic tables and parasol socially distanced, and a pair of Adirondack chairs out street side. Not to be impertinent but the view out is nowhere near scenic. But it will do for now to taste the joint's superb concoctions. They offer 20 some of their house made taps, quest beers and cider, wines, spirits and coffee. They have some house made food but they also allow food trucks to park on certain days. Seven Little Sliders, Redwood Wagon, and Rick's Rock'n BBQ are often here. Check their calendar for availability. I sipped on their 38 Minutes, ($6) a West Coast IPA that has that smooth texture over hippie kicks. I also tried their double IPA, Palate Fatigue ($7) a delicious mixup with an uncivil knockout. Both are pure quality and will have me coming back, if in the Powell environs, to sample more of their micros. I am especially looking forward to when normalcy comes again and they service them not in a plastic cup, ugg, damn you Coronavirus will your indignities ever end! TL/DR--Another good micro in the area you will leave them not so ill mannered.

Good beer, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, 2 TVs outside also to catch all the games! The fire pit is definitely a bonus on a cold, snowy day! Parking lot is tight and fills up so get there early. Great selection of food trucks too!

A great local Powell spot! They have an awesome patio with multiple umbrella covered picnic tables as well as TVs. Great indoor seating as well with many TVs. The beer was delicious and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! Don't have their own food but they had a taco truck while we were there that was delicious! Will be back.

    So many options!

I can't believe it has taken so long for me to step into this place for a drink. Wow- so many options (and great job naming the brews!). I had the Powell right in the Kisser, an IPA with a kick for sure. It lives up to its name! I'll try a flight next time to sample the others. They were getting ready to close, so didn't get a chance. Also came too late to get food from Cousins Maine Lobster food truck, which I understand comes once a month.

Best craft beers in Powell and awesome rotation of food trucks. We've been going for a few years now at least once a week.

Great place, very nice staff and excellent beer. The bourbon barrel aged Imperial Stouts are outstanding. Well done! Can't wait to go back.

Ask the Community - Ill Mannered Brewing Company

When are you going to serve a few witbiers and or wheat beers on tap?

We have a wheat beer on right now (Effe Off! Hefeweizen). Too LeWit to Quit Witbier is part of our regular rotation and we are adding an American Wheat Beer to the rotation in the next month. We have them more often in the warmer weather but try…

We have a Hefeweizen on at the moment, it is getting low.

The brewery has a large parking lot, which made it easy to stop in and relax after traveling. We ordered food from the El Catrin food truck parked outside, and it was absolutely amazing--we'll definitely be writing a separate review for them! The bartender was friendly and welcoming, and even gave us a booklet for the local ale trail, which was a nice touch. We tried a flight of five beers and sampled a few others as well. There was a good variety to choose from, and everything we tried was enjoyable. One of our favorite things was that the brewery is dog-friendly. They also have outdoor seating, which made for a great atmosphere to enjoy the beer and the nice weather. We'd definitely stop back the next time we're in the area.

I wanted to try several beers but was initially hesitant due to the price of their individual 5oz pours. The flight discounted those amounts. For the three beers that I landed on, they were all good. It's hard to choose a favorite, but the cinnamon-tinged Emotional Knapsack barely gets the nod over the Nuts for You and Heavy Hearted Amber. They seem to have a long-term partnership with Comida El Catrín food truck in the evenings, and that's a great decision because they're great in every way.

"No Soliciting " is a bar we found online - but didn't realize is a private club for members only. We tried The Pearl next door. They were closing in minutes. So we found that North High was the next closest place that closed at 10:00pm. We were also desperate for a restroom. We walked in - the place was devoid of customers - and the bar tender was NOT happy to see us. She had a very long day - and was yearning to "Just. Go. Home." We've all been there. She agreed to let us have one drink in plastic cups - completely understandable. But she messed up by letting us stay - completely underestimating the level of style & charm (not to mention handsomeness) my colleague and I possess *wink* . "One drink" turned into a handful. A good time was had by all. We hated that we had an early morning the next day - and had to return to our hotel well before we would have liked. I will make North High a "mandatory stop" on future visits (alongside my other "mandatory stop" - The Rusty Bucket for their buffalo chicken sandwich - with an extra side of buffalo). Side note - she gave me a taste of their Bloody Mary mix. *VERY* good. I used some of my dashing character and disarming baby blues to swindle them out of a bottle for only $15. It was worth $50. But this was a one-off deal. Don't walk in there expecting the same courtesy - unless you too possess unmatched panache & flair *finger guns*.

We went today for Father's Day, about six months after the last sub par experience, hoping it would be better. Somehow they ran out of chicken again?! AND lemonade, and they had no kids menus left. Food took forever. I ordered a glass of wine that never arrived - and when we got our check it's just a tablet with a price. We wanted to leave so I didn't even check to see if the wine was still on there. Food was cold, salad was soggy, burger was very meh. For $150 it was overall a bad experience for the second time in a row. Definitely spend your money at any of the other local restaurants in town.
