Very cool, out of the way brewery. Pretty unassuming right off the street. They look like they have regulars here as we got some stairs from the middle aged guys sitting at the bar. LOL The staff was welcoming though. Nice people and pretty patient with us. I got one of the sours which i enjoyed. Refreshing and light. We sat outside. Thankfully, they have umbrellas too. I didn't have much time this trip but managed to find an hour to stop in at 2 Tones Brewing to check out my 305th brewery. It's close to the airport so it worked for me and even better, the beers worked for me! It was pretty slow on a Saturday afternoon. The outside seating area was empty with a few people sitting at the bar inside. It was comfortable and friendly, which I was always appreciate. I trued four beers with a couple being specifically recommended by the gent working the bar. I didn't get his name but he is also one of the brewers. Crumble vanilla ale had a great vanilla aroma and flavor. Light color and light body and very good. Cosmic Fog DIPA was very tasty with a lot of hop flavor to it but not overpowering bitterness. Toasted Tones lager was pretty good. I would liken it to a light amber ale. SWPFTD would have liked this one. High Priest honey milk stout was a nice stout with the expected flavors but that little honey flavor hiding under the roastiness. I would have liked to stay longer, try more beers, and chat with the brewer longer but alas I had to fly home. Do me a favor and try the beers I didn't for me please! Nice brewery. Nice insides. Odd location on East Broad but it must work and it sure works for me. I'm a mile away and now I know where to get fresh beer. Bar was full at 410. They open at 4. I chatted up one of the Tones, tasted a few offerings, and left with a six-pak of 16ozers. Big fan! read more

Awesome first time at 2 tones. Anthony was our bartender -- it was great to talk to him about his brews and learn about their brewery. There was a feeling of community in this brewery and everything we tried was awesome. We'll definitely be coming through again. Crumble Vanilla Ale - Delicious, like licking the frosting off a cookie. It would potentially get too sweet in large amounts but the size i had was perfect. 2 Tones IPA - Solid IPA, easy drinking. Taco Pump - Thick full-bodied oat IPA. WAIT till Mom Finds Out - 1000% tastes like a bomb pop as the menu indicates. Sweet but not overpowering -- there's enough tartness behind it. Fantastic selection of beers here. Small tap room with limited seating due to Covid. Service is good and friendly. I appreciate the load music and the two TVs at the bar to watch the game. No food here but they have guest food trucks that come by. I haven't been in this area in a while and was surprised at the urban development in the area. I had a good view of the brewers in the back room and they looked like the type of guys you want making your beer. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the draft list. read more

Great place! Lots of choices for beer. The tap room was comfy, inviting, and the bartender and even other customers were very friendly. I like the setup here. It was easy to find from the street. This is another great brewery. It has only recently opened a taproom. 2 Tones has been brewing for a few years. It took awhile to get a good space available. The inside is a modern look without being flashy. I am impressed by the number of beers. For only being open as long as they have, they carry quite a lot. They did brew for a few years before opening a taproom. It was kind of hard finding their beers. There were a few bars that had them. Not many. They have some IPAs, some lagers, and some fruity wheats. Beers are usually about $5 to $6 a pint. The Uncle Joe's is a red ale, and there's a lemon wheat. Just know it's pretty small inside the building. It's not good for a large group. There's mostly seating at the bar along with a few tables. read more

So glad we stopped here on our mini road trip! If you're in the area and haven't gone you should! First off they have a good variety of beers so most should find something to satisfy the taste buds. For me it was their Crumble Vanilla Ale and their Knights Watch Porter. My hubs were the Blood Orange About A Month and flagship IPA. It's great that they do tasters so you can try things out! Then find what you like and get a half pour, full pour or take it home! Secondly, the staff is super friendly. We walked in and we're services immediately and they gave our pup a treat. Which goes to my third point in a moment. For service you do walk up to the bar but there is a dedicated spot to order so you're not missed. Thirdly, they are dog friendly inside and out!!! Which we always give huge thumbs up. Finally food... They have food trucks on certain days or you can bring in food. It's fine with us since it allows us to bring the dog without issue. Loved finding 2 tones on a columbus brewery tour, definitely going to be one of my most frequented stops. Small taproom but the garage doors to the outdoor space really helped with seating capacity. I didn't try the taco food truck that was there but ppl in my party also said it was great. Cannot wait to go back and add it my list of places to take out of towners. Additional parking in the lot to the left/on the side street right next to it since the lot is small. read more

Really enjoyed my trip to 2 tones, they had lots of beers to choose from and flights available. No matter what type of beer you drink I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy, they have a great variety. The bartender was friendly and helpful in describing the beers to us, and there was a food truck on site. read more

Plenty of parking plus additional lot next door. Food truck there they said most days Thursday through Sunday. Beer is great. Many options from ales to stouts. One of the best breweries on the Columbus Ale Trail! We were welcomed on a super hot weekend with friendly staff that went above and beyond what I've ever experienced at a local brewery. Period. I highly recommend the vanilla ale - it tastes like a cookie and it was delicious! Beers are $5-6 and there are a lot of neat options. If you're here with a group, there's some nice space to sit and relax and play board games. There isn't an outdoor area (at least that I noticed). I can't wait to come back. read more

I've got no reason not to give this place 5 stars. We were in town for the day and stopped in. I'm not a beer drinker so I opted for a soft drink since they do not serve a full bar. But the gentlemen behind the bar offered me a tasting.......(vanilla something I believe) and sold! I bought a glass. We didn't stay long; drank our beer and played one of the many board/card games they have on hand. Doesn't look like they offer food but as we were leaving a food truck was pulling in. A wonderful small brewery owned and operated by two guys named Tony. They have fun with their beers, creative flavors, styles, and names. I really enjoy their cookie-flavored cream ale, which is light and delicious. They have some cans of their beers available to go as well. They do have a mug club, and often a food truck to get food. The seating area is limited, so it may be crowded at times, but it's a good place to drink a few and grab a few to go. read more

Where to start with this amazing brewery? I can't really say it is a hidden gem because it is smack dab on E. Broad Street, but I honestly don't get to Whitehall too often (though I will get there lots more now after my first visit to 2 Tones). This brewery is worth every minute it takes you to drive there. We were greeted immediately when we walked through the doors, by both (one of) the owners and a brewer. Fun Fact, 2 Tones the name comes from the first names of both owners. You guessed it, they are each named Tony. They are owners that also create and brew some of their recipes. So when we visited we got to meet one of the Tony's and Zane one of the brewers. Both guys couldn't have been more accommodating, helpful, insightful, and friendly. They were amazing to us. Now on to the beer. They have flights consisting of 4 beers, but each sample of beer is individually priced, so you can add any number of additional beers you want to that flight. I started with 4 beers. I will just stop the suspense now, that is not where my beer tasting / drinking ended while at 2 Tones. My flight of beer consisted of Uncle Joe's Irish Red Ale, 2 Tones IPA, Crumble Vanilla Ale, and Cosmic Fog Hazy DIPA. Each sip exceeded my expectations. My favorite beer of the flight was the beer that I was drinking at that moment, until I tried that next beer. I was blown away at their quality, their seeming attention to detail within each beer recipe. After polishing off my flight I came to realize that 2 Tones is truly an amazing brewery in Columbus. One that most beer drinkers has not even been to yet, or maybe even heard of. I will work everyday from here on out to change that. 2 Tones needs to be recognized as one of the elite in the Columbus Craft Brewery conversation. I want to list the other beers I had, because they are all worth noting. Soursop Magic Gnome Hazy IPA is what I would call an entry level sour. I am not a fan of sours and yet I can totally drink this beer. Coffee Crumble Vanilla Ale is their Crumble Vanilla Ale with coffee added. I do not drink coffee, I mean I can not stand coffee, and yet I can totally enjoy this beer. Their base Crumble Vanilla Ale is irresistible, so smooth, and perfectly vanilla flavored. My guess is, you will find many non beer drinkers that if they give Crumble a chance, they will fall in love with it. Woodruff Lemon Wheat Ale is a beer that captured the aroma of Myer Lemons perfectly. If you know someone that loves lemons, they will flip for this beer. I saved the best for last, High Priest Honey Milk Stout is the baby of Zane (the brewer and his wife Kayla. If any of you frequent BrewDog in Canal Winchester you may have had the pleasure of meeting / drinking with the infamous Kayla, she is a force). High Priest is the smoothest Milk Stout with its silky mouthfeel and delicious flavor. I was blown away at the level that this milk stout is at. It is a must try. Please I implore you to set aside some time to find yourself at 2 Tones and try whatever they are pouring. Each sip will blow you away. They also have food trucks if you happen to get hungry for dinner. The night we were there the truck arrived around 5pm. They do not have any outdoor seating currently. 2 Tones is more than worth your stop. Tell Tony and Zane I say hi. read more

I try to visit local breweries while traveling. Most of the time, I'm disappointed in their offerings. Not so with 2 Tones Brewing Co. They offer many different styles of beer, of which I tried 7 (of 13). All of their beers are SOLID! As someone else commented, each beer was my favorite. I had chance to meet one of the "Tones" and one of the brewmasters. Everyone I met was extremely personable and made me feel among friends. No food on site when I was there on a Wednesday, but there is a local pizza place (Ange's) that will hook you up if needed. Close to the airport and easy to find. read more

Theres a diverse array of beers on tap, and for the most part all of them were flavorful and worthy of full pours! Cute hidden gem. Great beer, cool staff, they have a nice outdoor patio too! One of the only breweries in Whitehall it was a pleasant experience. It's kinda in the middle of no where off broad. Not much too look at but with great company and a food truck why go anywhere else? I loved the crumble creme and knocks wolfs ridge day break out of the park. Space juice IPA was also super flavorful and full of hops. They followed all the Covid-19 regulations, I felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed my first time at 2 tones brewery.
