I bought a groupon for cavitation figuring its a good way to try it out. Thought I did enough research into the process and spa but... my first appointment there wasn't a ton of explanation other than it was an ultrasound-based process which breaks down fat to be eliminated through your body naturally. They did try to upsell me to a heated cocoon type machine for an additional $35 each time which would EXCELLERATE the process. I have no complaints regarding my technician she was nice I can definitely say that, she took pre-treatment pictures to compare at the end of the five that I bought and we saw each other once a week for five treatments. She told me people usually see results after the 2nd treatment, I wasn't seeing any results personally but I figure ok lets see it through to the end. At the last treatment she took post pictures for a before and after collage which I asked to see, she would not show them to me on her phone but said she had to send them to the receptionist who could then forward them to me. I was presented with their brochure and was told i could get 10% off treatments if booked that day. I perused the pamphlet and declined but asked again for my pictures. No surprise here but I still haven't received my before and after pics...and I am 100% sure it is because the service I received was nothing more than a typical ultrasound machine that does absolutely nothing for fat breakdown. Every time I tried to inquire about the machines and the process the conversation was changed to a different machine that i did not pay for but if I had then I would see results. I may have gone for the more expensive "upgraded" machine in the beginning if they took the time to explain the differences rather than try to upsell AFTER the fact. The office seems clean and everything was done hygienically but I feel taken advantage of. At the very least they could have sent my before and after pictures to me. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this business, particularly with Jessika Dasilva. If you're going to be in business, professional communication and attitude are essential--both of which were severely lacking in my interactions with her. Please take the time to read other reviews as well--my experience wasn't an isolated case. The responses to negative feedback seem dismissive and unprofessional. Also, I'm not sure who the "owner" is supposed to be, as the only people I ever saw at the location were the receptionist and Jessika herself. As for the laser service: it felt ineffective. The sessions for both a large and medium area were scheduled for only 15 minutes, which seemed too short and didn't yield any real results. I had initially planned to continue because I had a membership, but Jessika herself suggested we "part ways" because she felt we weren't the right fit. Honestly, that turned out to be a relief, as I was able to end the membership early. Don't be tempted by the low prices--you're essentially paying for subpar service. You're better off going to a spa where you'll actually see results. Also, no need for a response from the "owner," who may not even exist--most likely just Jessika responding under a different name. My hope is that this review helps someone else avoid the same disappointing experience. read more

Is there an option for less than zero? Worst customer service and a total scam! I called to make an appointment and they said that they are booking out a week even though the website clearly shows that there is availability all afternoon. Then, I get a call saying that someone is available at 3PM but that the area that I purchased would cover about the size of a quarter which is fine but that it had to be the exact specific location. If I moved the quarter space back (same exact size), I now had to pay for a medium size service. Absolutely ridiculous! Waste of my time! read more

Made it all the way there- planned for an IPL facial (which I have done before and was reccomended to do) looking for some help with some dark spots and rejuvenation to be told that I have melasma and I can't be treated on. STAY AWAY - I purchased a Groupon to test this place out, usually this leads to recurring business on my behalf. It is safe to say that it will not be the case. I purchased a 60 Minute Deep Cleaning Facial with dermaplaning My appointment was at 1:00, started around 1:10, finished around 1:53, got dressed and I was at the front desk at 1:58. During the facial, another employee knocked on the door and disrupted my facial the technician got up, answered the door, grabbed something and came back. She went to touch my face with the same gloves, which I kindly asked her to change - open pores and dirty gloves, no thanks! The DEEP clean was bout 2 minutes of an electrode, no extracting. I voiced my displeasure to the reception Anna who was smug and said well its 158! She had no empathy and could care less about me. So I told her I would reach out to a manager A manager named Jessica called me after I sent an email to express my concerns She IMMEDIATELY told me she watched the video and since I went at the room at 1 that's when the appt starts, apparently 60 minutes is not spent on the facial it included leaving the room. She was very defensive and spent the entire time telling me that they gave me an extra treatment that they didn't charge me for ( still unsure what it was) The entire call she was unprofessional and finally I said I did not want to take to complaints on line, but this is absurd. TAHTS when she said well I was going to offer you something but forget it now, you're rude! I said I am upset because the facial was horrible what can you do? She was like NO I am not telling you - you are rude " I was going to offer you something to fix this, but because you didn't let me I will not" She told me that I need to calm and even EMMMMHMMMMMMed me! I have received better facials at schools from students and the customer service is worse. I went to Illume skin spa for Microblading. Ultimately I am just really so unhappy with the results. I went twice, once for the first appointment and 6 weeks later for a touch up. They told me if you have oily skin the pigment wont hold well, I have combination skin (both oily and dry). You can barely tell i got them down now 2 months later, and its suppose to last for up to 1-2 years. This won't last another month. All that money spent. So i went to 2 other places to ask them if these were decent results they said oily skin or not, absolutely not. I am hoping Illume Skin spa will honor and fix this. Save your money and go elsewhere for IPL's. I bought a Groupon for 3 IPL photo facials. They do not target multiple concerns. You have to just choose 1 since they will not change the filter. Having never had one before, I did not realize this was inaccurate. It defeats the purpose of a photo facial. I mentioned this to my technician after my first one with no results and asking my dermatologist for advice. My dermatologist said they should be changing filters. At my 2nd appointment I told my technician what my dermatologist said. Jessica said, that's how they do it there. My money was already spent so I decided to proceed to see if any change would occur with the 2nd one. Their machine must be outdated because after 2 sessions I never saw any lightning of my dark spots. I decided to get my 3rd IPL at a different med spa. I saw results immediately. They use different filters and my dark spots darkened and then flaked off. read more

I found this space very welcoming, clean, and the estheticians were super friendly. I used a groupon and they honored it with no problem. What I appreciated was that they answered any concerns or questions that I may have had. When she also went through each procedure, she explained what she was doing as well as giving helpful tips on how to better my skin. I had an appointment for today, 11/28, at Illume Skin Spa. Yesterday morning I tested positive for COVID. I called yesterday as soon as I received my test results, which more than 24 hrs in advance, to cancel. I left a message & didn't hear back from anyone. I called today to make sure my message was received & they told me they charged me a $40 cancelation fee. I asked politely if this could be waved due to testing positive for COVD & I was told no. I am doing my due diligence as a responsible member of society to not infect their staff. I am a business owner myself in the service industry & I have a cancellation policy as well. I would NEVER charge someone for canceling due to having COVID & I am absolutely appalled that this is how they do business. I have canceled all my further appointments. I was so excited to try their facility & this is extremely disappointing. COVID isn't a joke & I don't appreciate how I was treated. read more

When I walked in I was pleased to find a clean, welcoming studio. I explained before my appointment that I had a Groupon and based on the conversation I had when booking, it could only be used for the face given the restrictions. I was presented with two options and took the one that seemed to make the most sense based on my initial booking. The service was lovely, as was the esthetician that performed it. Upon checking out, the woman at the desk explained that the service I had (was offered) was more than the Groupon I had purchased. She said it was probably fine, took a photo of the Groupon and I was on my way. 15 minutes later I received an extremely threatening and harassing call stating that I needed to go back to the salon immediately and pay the difference or "alternate actions" would be taken. She kept referencing an *UNAUTHORIZED* recording of my phone call to book the appointment and was extremely rude, irrational and forceful. After again being threatened with "alternate actions" I agreed to pay the difference, then she hung up on me. Luckily, Groupon was able to issue a refund for both of the vouchers I purchased for this location and I plan to dispute any resulting charges on my credit card. I'm extremely saddened that a service that was supposed to relieve stress resulted in even more stress. Proceed with caution, know that your phone calls are recorded without authorization and if using a Groupon, have them scan it BEFORE the service to avoid the trap I found myself in.
