Katie was thorough and made my experience personal and comfortable. She used specific products based on our conversation and her analysis of my skin, and left me more knowledgeable about what my skin needs. It felt nice to be seen and invested in. I even ended up purchasing a couple of products per recommendation and after using them for a while now, I love them! My skin felt so good after, and LOOKED good too. I've been receiving facials, peels, waxing, and electrology services from Katie for almost a year now and she is truly wonderful! Let me start off by saying I'm a regular when it comes to services. I've NEVER had a bad service, I've always left satisfied. Katie and her staff are incredibly professional and they're always great about scheduling. When they know they're busy they'll have me book in advance so I can get all of my appointments in. And if they need to reschedule due to a conflict they always give plenty of notice. The Spa itself is very cozy and clean. Heated beds?!?! A revelation. Breath mints for when you chugged coffee on the way into your appointment?! I'm here for it. I love the convenient location and availability of parking - coming from L.A. those are luxuries. The services - I love the sensitive soothing facial! I've fallen asleep with the jelly mask on, I'm not ashamed. It was that relaxing. My husband and I both did a round of peels this past winter and his acne is basically gone, and my maskne dark spots have faded almost entirely. I also want to note that the electrology pricing is very fair! The selection of products is really good! I love Eminence and have been using that brand for a while, but I also love that they carry result driven product lines like PCA. They never get pushy with products but they'll make recommendations based off your skin concerns, and honestly who doesn't love professional skin care advice?! This review is way overdue from me and is a rarity in Bedford. I have been a regular here for the electrolysis and have tried a facial (and will be booking another)! All the myths you heard about electrolysis are debunked here. I have a condition where I am harder to treat and I am of South Asian descent, but I have noticed a significant difference in my treated areas. And I really don't know why I believed all those Youtube videos about how painful electrolysis is. I have never experienced unbearable pain at this boutique, unlike when I started with laser treatments at other places. Never again! In addition, I like all of the staff here. They are patient, well educated, and very sweet. Also Katie has created a safe space for all people who looking for that extra bit of confidence. She has a great selection of products and never drives high pressure sales, which has dissuaded me from other service companies. I've been visiting Katie for electrolysis and waxing since around 2011. She's great at what she does. I found her treatments gentler than what I've experienced in the past, and whatever she uses post-treatment seems to help the healing process along without making me break out. On top of everything, she's very easy to talk to and makes visits a joy. As she's changed locations and I've moved, I've remained a loyal client even when it's meant a bit of a drive. I think it's difficult to find someone this good. Her latest location is pristine. I've had appointments with Laurel and the occasional facial, which have also been great. I have Caitlin wax my eyebrows every 4 weeks and she does a great job every time. I am very particular about my brows and am willing to pay to have them done correctly to make sure they're not overwaxed/plucked. She keeps mine looking tamed, but still natural and thick. Both Katie and Laurel are wonderful to work with. I never met an electrologist/aesthetician who is as attentive to detail then Katie. Incredibly disorganized. Called many times to make an appointment and was never called back. Finally, someone answered and immediately put me on hold. When she returned, she was frazzled and impatient. I successfully booked an appointment and when I showed up, the appointment was not in their records and they said, can you come back in a few hours? I can think of many things to say about Katie but one word comes to mind, Phenomenal! I met Katie when I lived in Waltham looking for a place to go for hair removal. I'm very particular and picky and after going to her for an eyebrow and bikini wax, I continued to go back. Along with waxing, I've also gone to her for facials. Even when she moved locations to Bedford, I still followed her! I trust her and she explains everything that she is doing which is very helpful! Katie at the Body Boutique is amazing! She is incredibly friendly, thorough, understanding, and works hard to make her customers feel comfortable. Her spa is very clean too. I get a Brazilian wax (not an easy task) and she always does a phenomenal job. I had gotten a (cheaper) Brazilian at another spa closer to my college once and it was much more painful than when Katie did it. You walk in to a beautiful, looks newly renovated space. Very chic. Greeted nicely by Caitlin. Who was my esthetician. Came here for a ultrasonic facial and added one of the jelly masks. I yelped and found the Body Boutique and have been seeing both Katie and Laurel since. The progress made with the electrolysis is amazing. And I love going in for facials. It is always relaxing whether I'm getting my face pampered or getting my hair zapped, because both of them are friendly, funny, and easy to talk to and clearly passionate about skin and hair! And the space is so beautiful and well decorated. Katie is also honest when giving her professional opinion - if she thinks you don't need something she will tell you, instead of trying to upsell or add on services to get more money out of you.
