    Atlanta Botanical Garden

Atlanta Botanical Garden continues to be one of my favorite places in Atlanta to visit. It is…read moredefinitely one of my happy places. I love that it's located right in the city, yet you feel so far away. I also really appreciate the membership options they offer. I typically get the single membership, which is well worth it when you consider how many times you can visit and the member-only events they host. This time around, though, I decided to rejoin with an upgrade to the Family Membership ($135 for the year, which covers two adults and children). It comes with four free guest passes, discounts at the gift shop, and options for parking garage passes. They also host member only events, and for the month of September, members get a discount at the garden cafe and restaurant. In addition to seeing all the gorgeous flowers and trees, there is always something going on throughout the year. They host events featuring work by various artists and sculptors throughout the garden, a scarecrow event in the fall, the holiday lights in the winter, and an orchid exhibit in the spring. Another great perk is that your membership gets you discounts at other botanical gardens across the United States. If you love nature and enjoy visiting gardens wherever you travel, I definitely recommend taking advantage of their membership!

With membership we never have to think about the cost and I am guessing that the two of us go enough that we savemoney withthe annual family membership. But there's a lagniappe that the Botanical garden doesn't even mention. Memberships at he Atlanta Botanical Gardens gives reciprocal membership in 350+ gardens around the US and Canada. But was I ever surprised to discover that it includes the Atlanta History Center. We were there Saturday and saved $29 each by belonging to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I don't know about y'all, but I think that free is a very good price.

I've…read moreattended a few events here over the years, and I absolutely loved the Atlanta Christkindl Market. The festive atmosphere, variety of vendors, and overall energy really made it feel like a true holiday experience. That said, this event has clearly outgrown the venue. There were a lot of people--so many that at times it was hard to move comfortably, and even hard to breathe in certain areas. While most vendors were very friendly, I did have one minor hiccup where an order placed after mine was served first. I'll omit the business name out of respect, but it did stand out. On the positive side, the hot mulled wine was excellent. I did find it a little amusing that you have to purchase the signature cup in order to get it, but in the end, I walked away with a nice keepsake, so no real complaints there. Overall, this was a fun and memorable event. Plenty of free parking in the surrounding area, great vibes, and a solid reason to come back--ideally at a larger venue next time.

It was so nice to see people of all different ages and cultures there enjoying the market. The booths were well organized, and the employees we encountered were all very friendly. So many different great offerings of food and gifts and fun. We are thrilled that they moved it out here to lawrenceville. We parked at the justice center and took the very short walk through the well lit and decorated for Christmas path that went from the parking lot to the main street not far from the entrance to the market. Don't waste your time on taking the shuttle. The walk is super easy. We will look forward to coming back again next year.

He is a straight shooter and carefully listens. Frank and his team are, professional, trustworthy and kind! I love the end result; my house looks great; 'Abulous' prices are very fair!

Frank came to our house and gave us a quote for Outdoor lights.  We approved and asked him to…read moreproceed with the installation and that is when I realized I was given FALSE information.  The big selling point was - Frank said that he uses LED lights manufactured by AMP (sister company of Volt) which are rated for 10 years (40,000 hours).  However, Frank warrants the lights ONLY for 1 year.  That was a red flag in my mind, but I did not connect the dots at that time.    On the day of installation, the installer Zach showed me the fixtures (see pics attached).  The fixtures with the lights (bullet UL-101 lights and UL-102 lights) were not in a box.  I asked the installer why they were not in a box (are these pre-owned fixtures?).  Zach said they do not get it from their supplier in a box.   Further, the fixtures did not have ANY identification - no manufacturer name, no SKU number... NOTHING.  Only the Chinese knockoff fixtures have NO identification.  Do these fixtures have AMP lights?  The answer is a big NO.   I canceled the installation and gave Frank multiple opportunities to clarify and he continues to be EVASIVE.  Note:  Very cleverly, Frank does not include manufacturer's names on his website....if you think for a minute you would know why....however, we are so busy with our daily activities that we really trust contractors and do not get into these details.       Also, watch out for the reviews for Abulous (many look Fake and Paid for).  If a reviewer has only 1 or 2 reviews and has glowing things to say about your service - it is MOST likely a Fake account!! I see several such reviews for Abulous.   Before you waste your like (like what I did), ask that you want to look at sample fixtures.  Do your due diligence!!
