If you are looking to get a tattoo in the dfw area I would definitely recommend going to A Better Tattoo. The shop is clean and easy to find. There is a good amount of parking outside and it is not far from getting off the highway if you are traveling from a different town. Zac made me feel comfortable and his work came out great. The environment was uncomfortable -- there were people clearly under the influence hanging around outside, and some even coming in and out of the shop, which did not feel safe or sanitary. As for the tattoo itself, the quality does not match the price at all. The line work is rough, uneven, and far from what I expected. It looks like something that was rushed without much care or attention to detail. When I brought up my concerns, there was no remorse or accountability, and no offer of a refund. Overall, this place is overpriced for the quality you receive, and the atmosphere alone is enough to make me not want to come back.

I came to the studio to find absolutely no one there even though I showed up on time. Once my piercer finally got there I went inside with my boyfriend. (If my boyfriend hadn't been there I honestly would have been really uncomfortable since literally no one else was in the store.) Signed my paperwork everything seemed fine. Once it was time for the actual piercing however I was given nothing to sanitize the piercing site, I was marked and given no opportunity to say if I liked the placement , and was given absolutely no warning when I was actually pierced. Come to find out a few days after I get home that my piercing is off center. And crooked. So crooked in fact I may not even be able to put a regular piercing in even when the swelling goes down. The base came out in the right spot but the top is veering off to the side and likely too long. Honestly just doesn't look right. When I messaged the shop to see what would be done about this I got a screenshot for oral care instead of any actual answer. I just got ignored. Absolutely awful. Not only that but my piercer tried to tell me he told me my piercing would be crooked before he did it WHICH HE DID NOT I literally have a witness (my partner) who can attest he didn't say a thing about that. And pretty much the guy (Valley) just kept telling me he did everything right. I got so uncomfortable I just tried to agree with him and leave it at that. Not a good environment. Not a good piercer. And not a good piercing. I get It may not look horrible to some people but as the person who paid for a professional piercing I'd at least expect it to be centered. Or to be let know it may be off Because of a vein. (By the way I took it to another piercer that had a look at it and said the vein was a good reason but that it was DEFINETLY overshot and didn't have to be that crooked to be healthy. For years, my wife expressed unhappiness with the thinness and irregularity of her eyebrows. She would spend a lot of time every morning filling them in with an eyebrow pencil. She did a good job, but it took up too much time. When she first mentioned wanting to have her eyebrows tattooed on, I was not supportive. To me, it seemed ridiculous to have something so permanent done. What if one of the tattoos was crooked, too thin, too fat, off-center, or who knows what? Ultimately, it was her decision to make. When she finally decided to commit to visiting BrowBeat, I was blown away by the final result. I also learned that the process is called microblading, and it is not the same as traditional tattooing. Microblading does require touchups over time, as fading occurs. This is actually a good thing, since it enables the shape of the eyebrow to be slowly modified if desired as the years progress. My wife's eyebrows look so natural that it's hard to believe she had anything done. There is nothing unnatural about the final result. She has gone for touchups the past two years, and this year (2023) was her third visit. It's really quite remarkable. My wife is so happy with the results, and I am relieved and happy too.
