Yikes what a disappointment! Illy coffee is my favorite so no complaint about the coffee flavor (5 stars) but nothing else deserves more than one star. Pastries do not have proper signs on them. Some have no sign and some signs are in the wrong place which can make for confusing ordering and extra time in line unnecessarily. Guy in front of me placed an order the best he could but got eye rolls from the cashier because he didn't know the name of the scone he wanted. When it was time for me to make an order, she rolled her eyes again and made a comment about him to which I responded that the signs are either missing or wrong and she just said "yeah" and did her signature eye roll again. I then received my receipt which was not itemized and needed for reimbursement and since my check closed she needed a badge swipe from her manager to reprint which once again elicited her habitual eye roll. My latte was delicious as was the lemon scone I decided to splurge on but the coffee came warm not hot. Good coffee is important but not less important than temperature for me. An investment in an excellent coffee machine would seem to be logical when quality of the beans used is superior, but nothing in this little pretty coffee shop near the fountain in the Delta terminal seems to be thoughtfully done. read more

Coffee is delish here. A welcomed relief from the burnt Starbucks coffee that's usually swilled everywhere. One complaint was my wife's Macchiato came out lukewarm. My wife asked the next one to make it x-hot and that worked. They need to tighten things up here. read more

GREAT service. Staff explained severs desserts. Went to the main store to get me a real fork and knife for the chocolate hazelnut mouse which was so thick and delicious the plastic fork wouldn't cut it. Then staff went back to main store to get me a small to go box when I couldn't finish said dessert. Decaf cappuccino was excellent and perfectly made. This place has really weak coffee. I was happy to see the DTW had a better coffee shop than Starbucks, but this was a big disappointment. Maybe the espresso is better, but the coffee was weak and a bit acidic. Next time I'll definitely go to Caribou which is in the Economist shop not far away. read more

Four star for coffee, two star for croissant. Had a latte this morning, reasonably well made. Croissant is a disappoint though, it almost felt like a bagel. Price is kind of high, but that is expected of anything in the airport. read more

Good coffee objectively. Great for airport. Awful food, who would be surprised looking in that case? There's zero chance of fresh food so why is anyone surprised it's not good? The milk heavy coffee drinks are heavily operator dependent. Is anyone expecting a great, motivated barista in the airport? Stick to espresso drinks (straight, macchiato, ristretto) to be happy with this. That's what I like and never thought to try the food, so four stars. read more

Place looks really cool. The people working are fairly unresponsive. The one who waited on me was at least. After I stood there asking for some condiments for my sandwich one women did go look for some. In the future I will probably take the time to look for another place for a quick lunch. read more

I enjoy the cappuccinos and the space is nice. Avoid the sandwiches. The display is different than what you get. You think you're getting more of a sandwich like you would get at a European airport--what is handed to you is not nearly as nice. For this price, get your food elsewhere. read more

This is a great place to get coffee. They offer milk alternatives and they have a large selection of pastries and fruit. They offer medium and dark roast coffee selections. Very good espresso and muffins. The service was quick and friendly every time I've been there. It is in a great location in the Delta Terminal and you can get your coffee quicker than walking down to Starbucks or McDonalds, especially if you're short on time. read more

The line is not intuitive and lots of people walk in the through the exit, getting in front of the people who go the long way to enter as the signs say. The woman at the register was super unfriendly, flatly stayed the price, when we asked for it to go she ignored us and restated the price. There were 3 women behind the counter and none of them were making coffee! A woman was washing cups and several minutes later when we asked about our drinks she asked us to hold on a minute, THEN started making our drinks, which were terrible. Majorly overpriced and just mediocre. Service is a bit disorganized. The seating area is quite convenient and comfortable though.

Absolutely awful. Looks like a decent Italian setup, but the quality is just subpar. Cappuccino served in to go cups. Panini cold and soggy. Staff had two orders to take care of ( total of two customers), and yet still managed to mess it up. If you are expecting "airport" food, then this might be just fine, but if you like hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, you might be disappointed. Never again. Absolutely no attention to detail at all by the barista. He was joking around with other employees not even looking at what he was doing, barely gave it a tamp, etc. I have no problem with them having a good time but just make sure you getting the espresso right. Espresso is a tricky thing and easy to screw up. It is an Illy shop so was expecting some level of competence but instead got one of the worse espressos in recent memory. read more
