Prior to it becoming Novi Coffee & Tea, way back in the day it was a Caribou Coffee. It was a favorite while I was in high school and beyond. When I'm in town, it serves as a good meetup location. Quite busy inside, folks like to hang out here for sure. Feels cozy with their two sided gas fireplace. Seating propose on their patio too. They are out of jasmine tea today, had to get the fiery cinnamon spice, since they have no other green tea. :/ Ordered the Denver mint coffee with oat milk, dark chocolate, no whip cream, large and a medium fiery cinnamon spiced tea. $13.68 Staff is friendly. The hot tea gets separately brewed before being placed in the to go cup. It's scalding, needed an extra sleeve. The white paper cup feels hotter than their yellow / amber sleeve. Not sure why they have two very different to go paper containers in the first place. Was really wanting a Green tea, but spiced it is. The fiery cinnamon spiced tea is okay, too weak for the medium container, only a slight hint of cinnamon. Could have definitely used another bag to make it more flavorful. My hubby said the Denver mint was decent, he's not a huge fan of their black brewed coffees so much from past visits, their flavored is the way to go here. read more

At approximately 09:30am today Saturday 06/06, to reiterate 09:30am (peak morning!), I was served a very luke warm, weak flavorless brewed coffee. How the brewed coffee was that cold at that time of day is odd; then again the business model is to squeeze every ounce of coffee out no matter the quality. I only had 15 minutes for a quick coffee with a friend, so I did not bother trying to get a new cup which of course would have meant waiting for a new pot and the hassle. GenZ coffee server of course did not notice or care she handed me a cold paper cup of Luke warm coffee - standard not caring attitude. I was not "on my game" to do her job either. Lesson Learned. Sadly...disappointing. Ordered the breakfast sandwich...barista/waitress burned my croissant sandwich but delivered to me like it was the norm. 8:45am and the place was dirty. Crumbs and dirty tabletops all around. Carpet full of crumbs under the tables. Window sills...also full of crumbs. No clean place to set down my belongings. I don't frequent coffee houses often but when I do...I do expect them to be clean. Only tiny cocktail napkins available. Maybe that explains all the crumbs everywhere? Full size napkins needed! Very cute coffee shop with tons of seating. Staff was friendly. I ordered an iced matcha latte and the Dora-yaki. Unfortunately, the matcha latte was basically just milk and ice. I asked them to add more matcha (got a weird look for that), and it was still...super milky. The place was packed when I went, so maybe matcha lattes aren't their thing and the coffee is better? My medium matcha latte was a little over $7, so it was more expensive than Starbucks. The Dora-yaki was fine and has shaved butter in it. I've been here a few times recently. Both times ordered the exact same drink. Both times charged different prices. I ordered a small iced latte. First time was 7-8$, second time 11$! This was a few days apart. The prices here are absolutely insane for a coffee. Not only that, but you have to ask for a bathroom key to use the bathroom. How many people are really coming in there just to use the restroom that it's that much of a problem? If someone has to go that bad- let them! It's not only completely unsanitary, it's barberic. I had to wait in lime almost 5 minutes once just to ask for the key as one person was working and line was busy. For these reasons alone, I won't be returning and won't recommend this place at all. read more

This place was a great spot for meeting someone for coffee. On the Sunday afternoon I visited during the holidays, there was actually live music: a couple played music the entire time we were there playing a smattering of fun pop songs and Christmas music. It was delightful to sit in the comfortable chairs near the fireplace, listen to the music, drink our coffee, and chat. There are a lot of interesting coffee drinks that require one to read the menu. While the specialty decaf coffee I ordered wasn't spectacular, I enjoyed the atmosphere so much that I will definitely be back! Show this place some love. read more

This is a very cute local coffee shop in Novi! They have a wide variety of drinks - hot, iced, and blended. They have a lot of their own unique flavors and drinks. I absolutely love their lavender latte and recently had the rose latte and it was a delicacy. The staff here is always very kind and helpful if you need help deciding what to order. They also have decent snack foods. The seating here is quite cozy and there is a fireplace, sofas, and regular tables and chairs. There's also plenty of outdoor seating as well! Picked this place to try after a football game in Novi and was impressed with the size. There was alot of people in there sitting on computers so we couldn't sit by the fireplace, but did find a-little corner to the right when you walk in. It was abit crowded with stuff in that area, but we didn't mind since we were the only ones sitting there. Huge menu behind the counter, bakery goods. We just wanted coffee though. And somewhere quiet to sit! Very nice staff. Easy to figure out what I wanted from their menu. Bakery items all looked tasty...my daughter got some kind of coconut coffee and liked it. No complaints about mine either-was a month ago so unfortunately I don't remember what I got! The only thing that sucked for me was having to get a key for the bathroom-I usually have to use a restroom pretty quick after drinking coffee and if there would've been a line at the counter, do you just walk ahead of people and say hey give me the key..? I can't give a fair review at the moment. I was looking for an independent coffee house to meet up with a friend at in the Novi area. When we arrived it was open as Yelp said. There was a sign up that said they had a water boil advisory or something. NBD, coffee has be pretty close to boiling. Plus they're open, right? Well we get inside and they aren't serving any drinks. All they have is a cooker with some cold drinks. Why stay open if that's all you can serve? We were there so went ahead and got a cooler drink. A table near us had people with coffee beverages. Not sure how. The space was cute. Very clean. I'll return and hopefully get a hot drink. For now, this is the best review I can give. read more

Stopped in for some hot tea on a hot day but that's how we do it! I ordered a London Fog and let me tell you, they do it perfectly! They actually let the tea leaves steep and the ratio of milk to tea to vanilla is spot on! I've had numerous London Fogs and this is one of the best. Which involves precise weighing and pouring water at certain intervals. But here they just pour hot water and wait till it drips. So basically it was a good regular coffee. Nothing special. The menu.. wide selection... variety of house roasted coffee. Couple of Batch brew option. They have selection of ready to eat pastries and some single serve packaged processed food, like cereal, biscotti and stuff. Could use additional savory food, that could be a bit more than a cookie. The fact that they offer variety of milk option is great. So vegan friendly. Second Matcha tea latte, too milky. Nothing special. Third bonfire mocha with dark chocolate- super sweet but tasted good. This is such a cozy coffee shop! I'm so glad my good friend and I stopped by during a short trip to Detroit. The best thing about the shop is seeing that they had coffee mugs with Taino Indian symbols traditionally found in the Caribbean. That was such a pleasant surprise! They have some great unique specialty options, like the coconut dream, which I enjoyed! The staff was really friendly and shared plenty of recommendations. We were lucky enough to get the chairs next to the fireplace, which made the experience so much better. My drink was a little too sweet but overall it was nice. The prices are comparable to anywhere else you would go. I would love to see some more creative coffee selections to chose from to really set them apart from all the big chains. Great place to hang out on a Saturday morning. Their sweet quesita is delicious. I love the fireplace. Aloha 808 was the live music duo playing while my friend and I were there. I would have given 5 stars. But one of the servers forgot to make my sandwich. The other server said she didn't see the order. She cleaned the grill and didn't come and tell me. When I asked about it, she was clearly flustered and wasn't very nice. She gave me a refund, expecting me to be satisfied with that. But it wasn't about the money. If she had told me about it without my having to ask 30 min later when she brought me the espresso, that would have been better than her hoping I'd forgotten about it. (I'd spilled my drink in the middle of a rush.) When they got enough time to replace it, it was well after she had closed down and cleaned the grill. Granted, it had been a stressful and hectic period in their day. I wish she'd said; "Here's your order and btw, it got really busy, and after it was over, I cleaned the grill before I realized I didn't make your sandwich. Come over to the counter and choose something else or I can offer you a refund". We'll be back and hopefully in all of this pandemic loss of staffing everywhere, there will be more help behind the counter. The lavender steamer tastes like therapeutic grade essential oil (it's actually salty) and not food grade lavender flavoring. May I suggest Monin Floral Lavender syrup. read more

My favorite local coffee shop - awesome menu with a variety of coffee drinks, specials and teas! The owners know how to make good coffee and where to get good coffee beans (which they roast fresh in the coffee shop themselves). The pastries and other food items (wraps, quiches and soups) are yummy as well!
